IMO, FD took the bags of evidence to a shady neighborhood because in his mind, that is where crime occurs, so why not let LE look at non desirables as the perp. He failed to realize that those areas typically have MORE cameras than average neighborhoods.

They are definitely not bolt locks. They are just fancier latches like below.
m_kitchen-island-cabinets-vintage-latch-hardware.jpg

Instead of a magnet or clasp (?) latch on the inside of the door the latch is caught on the outside.

I didn’t understand why everyone was calling these “locks”-and these are still easier than the spring-based latches we used to have, where you had to grab the latch, and turn it while pulling the cabinet door open. It wouldn’t open unless you were turning it while pulling it. That’s a lot of nickle on those latches, so they are expensive. Surprised he put them in, based on some of the comments that the finishes in the Fore Group homes are cheap.

Please let there be somebody that saw something and is brave enough to come forward.

Is this a photo/screen shot from FD's house or is this just a stock photo? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for that better view of the closures/handles. They kind of look like commercial freezer door handles and, you’re right, not at all like the bolt locks that I thought they were (sure doesn’t help that I’m using my small iPhone for photo details).
Commercial freezer sounds scary. I hope he doesn’t have access to one somewhere.

Yikes, after hearing this, perhaps FD may not be charged with murder as only circumstantial evidence and no body.
Very disappointing.:(
MOO.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with circumstantial evidence, It is used in courtrooms throughout America every day to convict people. You know what is not circumstantial, though? Those videos of FD dumping bloody sponges, etc, containing his wife's DNA, which are direct physical evidence linking him to JD's murder. You notice that his lawyer is staying quiet on that damning evidence-which the jury is going to see! The most FP has said is that those videos "look bad", he has an explanation for that conduct, but he is not going to tell us (or LE) what it is. Odd, FB likes to run his mouth, on and on and on, but even he cannot come up with a reason for why FD is dumping bloody evidence in a city over an hour from JD's home, in a manner clearly designed (at least FD thought) to avoid detection. FD will be charged with murder, whether of not JD's body is ever recovered. For the sake of her family, however, I am hopeful that they will be able to properly bury and grieve for her. If FD cared for his children, as he claims to, the least he could do is tell LE how he disposed of JD's body. I'm not holding my breath; his malignant narcissism is his only guiding light.

Yes, I am familiar with these types and they do not lock.

You just pull the handle forward and the door opens.

It is not the type that slides to open like someone pictured up thread.

Totally agree. I'm starting to lean towards the reason for no outwardly public searches going on right now is that LE has enough info to refine their focus.

UPDATE: I just spoke with the divorce attorney for Fotis who says the judicial website is not accurate, the hearing is not happening today, & they’re waiting for a court date

You may be right. NC PD Chief certainly sounded confident a few
days ago. He clearly stated further charges are coming. Plus he
refused to answer if others are involved.
They must have had strong reasons to search MIRA and they must have found something of value. I'm hopeful.

According to the CT Court Lookup, all of the future hearings are off also. FD has had a change of attorneys and a motion to halt proceedings, I wonder if that motion was "accepted."

Exactly! AND FD's DNA mixed with JD's blood allegedly being found on the kitchen faucet is also not circumstantial.

Just to set something straight here, DNA is circumstantial evidence.

The school person that said that is from their old school in Avon, when they lived at 4JC.

This time, the school is in New Canaan and yes, the nanny did pick up the children on that Friday, because JD had appointments in NYC.

I highly doubt that JD used the Same nanny as before.

The old nanny could have spied on JD for FD so, there is absolutely no way that she would use the same Nanny.
According to the court records in Family Court the prior nanny (one that hit FD mother with vehicle) only spoke Greek. This fact came up in the discussion of JD saying that she was losing the ability to speak to her own children as they were speaking Greek (with the then nanny, FD and most likely FD mother/father - MOO as its unclear these two spoke english). All I could think about when reading the court documents is how alienating this language barrier created by FD must have been for JD. It sounded like she had become a stranger in her own house and with her own children. What an unbelievable scenario for any mother to experience. I realize some would say households become bilingual all the time but learning greek (even academic greek) IMO is not that easy. MOO
