It would also explain why they didn't care that their phones were on after 1:30pm. Like someone else said, they were likely on in Hartford because they were waiting for a call about the kids, but if everything else had already been taken care of in the NC area, they would be less concerned about their location.

Reading this comment and imagining (or trying to imagine) what these 2 could have been thinking about after the day they most likely had is nothing short of mindblowing. Whole plan IMO seems steeped in delusion. The behavior exhibited is nothing short of stunning IMO and reminds of some other horrific crimes we have seen commited by people high on meth or coke and when they came off their high they remembered zero. The idea that an violent crime occured in the am and these two are waiting for the call to come pick up the children from the nanny is something I'm truly being challenged to process.

A lot of the larger properties have their own gates and security stations, but I’ve never seen a gated community here in Fairfield County.

Most septic tanks have a cap that is buried underground. So when the people come to empty the tank they dig out about a foot of ground and remove the cap. Oil delivery is typically through a pipe in the group with an exposed end cap to attach the truck hose for delivery. Well caps are typically buried too but are clearly marked at most houses. Hope this helps. Other than houses in town that have city water and sewer most houses in town have septic and wells.

I agree, but if she is there she probably didn't have a choice. Would be incentive to stay up on your skis though. If she was in the river along there, there isn't a likely hood that she would move down stream and surface though.

I had read that she was a spear fisherwoman and certified diver. I would think the pond and river wouldn't be hard for her to maneuver with a wet suit IMO.

With regards to FD mother’s death... WAS FD in Italy? Why was a nanny without a license moving a vehicle with children in it? And I read (I’ll look for link) he consistently had beautiful young nannies. I’m sure he controlled that also. I want to know more about this situation. If anyone reads anything, please share.

There could be many reasons. If the family was Greek they may have wanted a Greek nanny. FD may have wanted it. I actually wonder if she was a nanny at all. I’m assuming she was not Greek American because the article stated that she didn’t speak English, so FD translated for her.

I get the druggie vibe from MT for sure. She worked as a promoter for a club, didn't she? Sounds like she lived in the fast lane and I can imagine drugs being part of that. Plus, she has the look of someone who has been using drugs for awhile. My opinion.

MOO, but I can’t imagine being married to someone who spoke a different language and not picking up some of that language. Add in what she knew of his body language and I’m guessing while she may not have been at all fluent, she probably could get the jist of a conversation. That being said, it’s a completely rude and cruel thing to do to your wife.

I just realized that the drive between FD/MT home and JD home in New Canaan is almost 1.5hours. I’ll have to look at the timeline again. When was he back at Mountain Springs home? He would’ve had to leave his house by 6:30 that morning to catch JD leaving for school drop off. Maybe all of you already knew this but I just assumed he lived closer based on his knowledge of the home and area.

Our septic tank has two openings, next to each other, they are 'hidden' by plantings, but are opened relatively easily, without the need to dig the covers off, for the every other year cleaning, definitely with wide enough opening to .. do the unthinkable..but that would be obvious on any of FD's properties...as a .. disposal...

Hmm....good idea about the overnight stay. How would that work in terms of MT? I would think she needs to be at their residence because of daughter.
