There are private associations in a number of the towns such as Westport, Fairfield, Darien, Stamford, Greenwich, Wilton etc. The level of security I think can be all over the map with everything from a 24/7 manned gate and lots of cameras to something much more low key and not manned. The vast majority of houses are not part of these communities. I'm trying to think of a comparison to a place where towns are one gated development after another. Parts of LA, Miami, Dallas, Houston maybe are examples of places where security has driven the creation of so called secure enclaves. New Canaan and a good portion of Fairfield County were developed quite awhile ago and there really aren't large tracts of land available that would lend itself to a large development of a gated community. New Canaan houses outside of downtown usually have between 2-4 acres. Most zoning is 2 acres in New Canaan and adjacent towns with downtown properties being possibly a 1/4 acre. Hope that helps explain the area a bit better. Its helpful to take a google walk of the JD neighborhood as its fairly typical of cul de sac living in New Canaan oustide of downtown as is the FD unsold home on Sturbridge Hill.

I have no idea, guess we have a WS scoop. Was just driving around, late for the train and was annoyed actually about a very large slow moving truck in front of me that was causing a bit of a traffic slow down. When I looked closer I realized it was State Police Major Crimes truck so I just followed it down the street to see where is was going (as one does!) and snapped 2 photos. The truck itself was quite impressive and it looked about maybe the 1/3 of the size of a semi, very heavy duty construction and full satellite hookup on the roof of the truck.
I will look for one tomorrow when I return. Most houses have the old style where its underground.

I don't think they were on drugs when arrested, but she has the drug-user look in general, imo. Drugs have a way of giving someone a hard look - that isn't just worn out from stress. My opinion only, based on nothing but a hunch and bad opinion of her.
