I have been thinking about this new revelation concerning FD's divorce attorney's potential involvement in this murder. Remember the interview the chief of police gave to the reporter from Court TV? He said at the time more arrests could be coming (or words to that effect). Makes me think that our theories this lawyer and his potential involvement with this crime may be correct.

If nothing else, he had a non-privileged conversation of conversations about FD contacting the lawyer's estranged wife. FD had a plan; IMO the lawyer played some role, even IF he wasn't aware of what those plans were. I normally would give the lawyer the benefit of the doubt, and say he didn't know what FD was up to, but what lawyer in their right mind would solicit a client in a high conflict divorce to violate a no-contact order? Such conduct is highly improper and will result in disbarment in most states. This little town in Connecticut certainly seems to have plenty of "Peyton Place" drama.

Also, I strongly believe this lawyer was FD's claimed alibi. Now we have a false alibi which, if FD were innocent, why would he fabricated a false alibi? Consciousness of guilt, my friends, consciousness of guilt. Not sure how this piece of evidence could get to a jury, but it is quite telling. It will be interesting if the prosecutor offers the lawyer limited immunity to tell LE what he knows about FD's plans. Remember, there is a crime fraud exception to the attorney privilege, so those conversations will not be protected. Since this lawyer is charged the serious offense of marital rape, however, IMO his cooperation with FD investigation will not result is a "free pass."

I will definitely be looking to see how this new piece of evidence plays out.

I wonder if LE is checking out this guy’s property and whereabouts.

I don’t know what to do with this document. Have we seen warrants with many details on the day JD went missing?

We have MT and FD arrest warrants. So far as I recall we do not have search warrants. Search warrant info is sealed for now by the court pending completion of State investigation so I wouldn't put them on here if I had a copy of a warrant (JMO).

We have seen press reports about the existence of search warrants in MSM and in tweets from reporters (where I saw info about MT at 4Jx). The links to the arrest warrants are on prior threads. Will check the media thread to see if they are there.

Raises more ?s and info we are not privy to:
1. Calls between KM to FD?
2. Calls from KM to JD?
3. Did KM and JD ever meet?
4. When was the last time KMs STBEx talk to JD?
5. Was there life insurance on either wife?

Just keep thinking about this cozy Farmington area ménage à trois with FD, KM and KM wife. But I truly wonder if it was a ménage à quatre to include MT and the couples were good friends and travelled and partied together? Also thinking about the KM litigation and it seems that FD was called for depostion (or we suspect this is the case from looking at the document list posted yesterday on the State website). But just wonder if MT will be called too in the divorce and rape trial? To me it would make sense that all involved were friends.

We have MT and FD arrest warrants. So far as I recall we do not have search warrants. Search warrant info is sealed for now by the court pending completion of State investigation so I wouldn't put them on here if I had a copy of a warrant (JMO).

We have seen press reports about the existence of search warrants in MSM and in tweets from reporters (where I saw info about MT at 4Jx). The links to the arrest warrants are on prior threads. Will check the media thread to see if they are there.

I justed put a few articles into the KW thread but I wanted to put this article on JD thread as well because this deals with FD:

Victim was concerned enought to purchase a life insurance policy for $750,000. But the interesting info in this article was that KW is supposedly involved in another sexual assault case in the area. The fact that FD appeared in this case to act as the intermediary to assist his friend in getting around a no-contact protective order is something that I am having difficulty wrapping my head around.

To get the protective order in the first place was a big deal for the victim BUT NOW the victim has to be concerned about her STBX engaging 3rd parties to reach out to her in person on his behalf. The sickness of someone engaging in this behavior and effectively harrassing a DV victim and alleged rape survivor is stunning.

IMO I hope FD is charged for his role in this case and I am glad that the victim reported it and the the local paper had the courage and took the time to get the police documents released under freedom of information act as my suspicion is that KW worked very hard to grease the skids to bury these police documents and thought they would never see the light of day.

Memo to KW: its sunny out today, the press and public won't let this matter rest until a trial happens and there is no place for you or FD to hide on this case if you were together working to murder or otherwise harm this victim!

I don’t think a life insurance policy in that amount is extreme. I’ve heard as a rule of thumb to get 5 to 10 times your yearly salary.

But if their divorce litigation began in 2010 when would they have traveled together as couples? I guess it's possible that since she was still in the home they may have had outings together as a group but I cannot imagine that at all - even for the sake of the kids. IMO

Is FD's attempt at marital counseling (if that is what it was) a crime that he could be arrested for? I know he was used in an attempt to get around a no-contact order but does that mean he is also in trouble for doing it? Interesting developments that are coming out now - I wonder why this timing - and wonder if something is about to break?

I have been thinking about the extensive forensic work that is being by the State on the evidence in this case. We saw many weeks at the MIRA plant and I have to admit to being concerned about finding anything there.

But in my ongoing search to find the tweet about MT and the computer I found this article from one of my favorite HC writers about how DNA was found on a potato that was then used to convict someone for arson. I know a potato isn't the same as what was at the MIRA plant but I would think that getting this DNA might have been tricky. I know there are people on WS that are DNA experts (I am not) so wonder if my assumption of the difficulty of getting DNA off the potato is true or not? In any event, this DNA from the potato somewhat restored my faith that the State will find something substantial enough to convict everyone involved in this case!

As you can see I was hard at work trying to look for the light at the end of the tunnel and am hoping for the best on this case!

As rough as its been on the JD case recently, one of the few consolations I have is that now No Case Norm and PT2 have to really put on their thinking caps to come up with a defense for FD in light of JD bloody shirt bombshell this week.

My guess is that we will see a whole slew of continuances as the Pattis & Crew scramble to put something together. Do not envy their job at all. Just hope they can come up with something that holds up to scrutiny as their prior theories were IMO weak at best.

FD has his hands full too and I wonder if we will charges leveled against him in the KM case?

Yep, good friend wrote for the show and honestly I think some of their 'loser' scripts are the true 'gems'! Makes for fun chat over drinks!

But now that I am thinking and laughing (easier than crying about the allegations in the KM spousal assault case which sound horrifying) about all this, its probably better suited for SNL! Can you imagine! Would be hilarious segment that 2 morons over beers or tequila shots decide to each do away with their wives with whom they are both involved with contentious divorces. Shoot the segment first at the Oyster Bar and then finish the segment at 4JX! Comedy gold IMO!

written and the writer should have said,
After he (KM) took out a $$$$life insurance policy on her, she was scared.........

wouldn't that fit the story better?
