Now we have a knife pilfering, dumpster diving, crackhead to consider in this case.

Welp, this is a layer of 'that's crazy' that I wasn't prepared for.
Thinking. ..Remember when JD was a big drug addict? I figured FD was throwing out all kinds of horrible accusations to besmirch JD good name, and tie into His Gone Girl nonsense. This idiot FD has been projecting his drug habit onto JD the entire time! So,my question is who's FD's dealer? MT? Or is FD hers?

This is a Memory Test for all our Super Sleuthers:
Where have we previously heard about the
blue and white striped linens w black stripes?
It's in this story somewhere but I haven't been able to find it.
I've already checked the arrest warrant- no luck.
either I have esp or I dreamed it (not) but I'm
positive it's been mentioned before.

If this article wasn't from the Courant, I might totally disregard it. David Altamari has seemed like a conservative reporter who stays away from hype and gossip. This article is absolutely stunning, IMO.
Dave Altimari tweeted this am that he had spent a lot of afternoons on Albany Avenue trying to find this guy to interview. Go Dave! Hope he has more up his sleeve.

FD is MT's 'procurer' not dealer, he just gets it
and pays for it.
That's how a lot of rough guys keep an addicted
gf tied to him. MOO.

I wonder if that is why MT didn't stay in NY and came back after one day, she didn't have a source or the person she was to stay with didn't want an addict in the house. MOO MOO

Wondering if the police were able to do DNA analysis on the pants this guy was wearing. I doubt they get washed very often.
Incredible article! Kudos to HC and the writer on this incredible 'scoop'.

Quote from HC article:
"Sources have verified that there is video surveillance of the man reaching into the garbage can and removing items the weekend Farber Dulos disappeared. They also confirmed a statement was taken from him before state police conducted a massive search on May 31 with dogs and troopers in the Albany Avenue area".

Looks like this tragic story of Clue might just be reaching the time for additional charges to be filed. Or we can only hope.

Looks like we might so far have FD/Player to be named later, in the garage, at Welles, with a knife. Motive, Crime Scene, Weapon.

Trigger warning here:

I don't know much about knife violence and blood splatter. Has anyone else seen this in another case? The assumption so far if I recall was blunt force trauma.

Wonder if the next news to drop is info about body?

So many details to sort out in the story but it seems like the basics are starting to come together for the State.

funny you say that as I also suspected that and it
only took 1 day for her host to figure it out.

I wonder if LE was able to get hold of this guys pants. That he wiped the blood from the pillow on. And ID that blood. And was the bloody pillow and knife in a bag?
LE has more bloody items from the trash run than we know. They’re letting it out slowly. The T-shirt and bra one day. The knife and pillow the next. Poking fun at NP for asking charges to be dismissed, really, nothing incriminating in that trash run at all, right NP?

And now we know a knife was used. Wonder if the blood spatter in the garage matches up with a knife attack/stabbing.

A blood soaked pillow, hmm. Either 1)JD had it packed in the car in Welles Lane garage to take to NYC and FD grabbed it ,or 2) FD used it as part of a dismembering operation at 80MS to soak up blood.
Wonder if FD has similar pillows at 4JC or JD has ones matching that description. Sounds generic but not too generic. Hope that guys memory for detail is clear given his crack addiction. Sounds like LE had the description of this scenario early on before they searched Albany Ave on 5/31, giving them info to use in the searches at 4JC and 80MS that weekend.
Just jumping off your post -
Maybe a pillow was used on JD to keep her from screaming and/or used in an attempt to smother her? JMO

OK, it's been so tight with no info coming from LE. Now very important, significant details are emerging. What's up?

I've done a bit of reading on factors in determining weapons used and the blood spatters will be key. Killing by knife leaves much different configurations of blood spatter.
Plus if clothing was cut off the body, they can
tell if a knife was used.

That kind of describes what MT was wearing when she was arrested

no information has been released about possible weapon or blood spatter analysis in Welles garage although the term splatter was used in the warrant, so they should be able to do analysis. There’s a lot of high tech analysis available these days so hopefully there might be some info about the nature of the weapon or at least what happened to JD there. I think the assumption about blunt force came from the term “serious physical assault” used by LE in the affidavit.
{The knife could have been used in the garage, or it could have been used elsewhere in a more grisly possibility.)

At FD's and MT's 1st court appearance, it sure appeared to me that they both were and/or had been very recently under the influence of something. JMO

So The Courant reporter was able to talk directly
to the knife finder man. Great connections this
reporter has.
Sounds like knife finder man may be in hidden
location according to the article. Wouldn't want to be in his shoes right now. Fudge may also be looking for him as well as FD.
Now we know why FD is so familiar with this hood, it's where he buys his drugs.

I hope LE has hooked up knifefinder man with
the local methadone clinic to get him clean so
he can be a more credible witness at trial.
Nothing worse than an active crack addict testifying.

Yup. FD had no 'real job' or place to be on the daily, had no children to raise, why not do drugs with the girlfriend, who also looks a whole mess herself. Both looked like a strung out junkies during that initial arrest (or pick up)..

When a crackhead is a main source of information and no pun intended 'cracks' the case....ugh..

Very insightful. This makes total sense as to how FD could have known about her appointments. It could also be that he had been getting notices for awhile and so was able to use the information to plan her murder. MOO

Didn't Pattis go on and on about $14,000 in recent blood work? I don't he would have gotten that from JD or her side??? FD???

Just think they are circling the wagons and exerting maximum pressure on MT in particular. JMO!

Just went back to read the arrest documents yet again looking for info on a couple of things and I found something I don't think has been discussed yet. Nothing major but a curiousity IMO.

FD has a tat on his abdomen!

No picture, just simple notice. So, FD IMO must have been subject to strip search to get this info. So glad the police got to him so early in the case and it was all because the friends reported to Police so quickly IMO!
