Thank you. I missed the discussion on those questions. I took a break for awhile because I was told to "Stop bashing on CT" and I felt a little bit bullied for talking about what my family and I have been through since arriving in CT and how those experiences have changed us (quiet frankly, they would change anyone). I guess I will never be a "Stoic New Englander." It's not in my nature nor how I was raised. I was taught you talk about what you have been through. If for no other reason than someone can relate and it might help them to not go down the same path/make the same decisions/mistakes you have. I was thinking of JD when I said those things because I identify with her on so many levels, I know what it's like to be married to the most wonderful man and have him change right before your eyes, how hard it is to leave...with kids, a torn-apart life, victim shaming and non-belief/inaction by the courts (last two days have been a testament to that), a social/support network that is still very primitive in many areas, etc. and she had tons more resources than I do.
Seeing that write up on the Silver Alert just makes me think even higher of NCPD and what they must have seen at JD's house. They knew they had a monster on their hands and *if* the victim who sustained such a brutal attack was still alive, time was so very limited. They had to get the word out in all ways and by all methods ASAP.
