I think ‘desperate’ is the key word here. I’ve noticed that Pattis does this to himself sometimes, what’s known as projective identification. Perhaps it’s from spending too much time on his analyst’s couch each morning?

Desperate indeed, NP and FD, to learn what LE has on FD so they can move forward on a defense. Because as FD said, he “knows what he did and didn’t do” and he’s desperate to find out if and what LE knows and doesn’t know, too.

NP: “The state seems desperate to develop an accomplice in the case, rather than refocusing its effort on trying to build a case based on available evidence.” Hmmm.

Available evidence, shall we review:
-blood and cleanup indicating serious physical assault in JDs garage the morning of May 24; FDs DNA found on her kitchen sink faucet the next day, mixed with her blood. Witness heard FD mention being concerned about not wanting his DNA to be found inside house two nights before.
-FD and MT on camera dumping bags of JDs bloody clothes and cleanup equipment with JDs blood that night
-doctored license plates registered to FD found in storm drain on same street FD and MT seen in truck and where JDs bloody clothes were found
-witness found knife and bloody pillow in same trash bins where FD and MT seen on camera dumping
-FD in contentious divorce from JD and due to show incriminating financial records in court week following JD disappearance
-FD owes JDs parents huge sums of money and being sued over that
-JD statements to court that she feared FD would harm her as a consequence of her leaving FD

Ok so that’s the available evidence, at least that we and NP know about so far.

From NP, we’ve heard Gone Girl and revenge suicide and MT will say that she was at home with FD that morning (even though she was returning a purse and at the grocery store), and that FD was meeting with a lawyer who is now also a potential suspect.

Now there’s a case based on available evidence for you!

And oh yeah, by the way, if you must ask, the evidence of FD and MT dumping JDs bloody clothes on Albany Avenue is an “anomaly I can’t explain”. Excellent use of available evidence to build a strong case! Is that what we’re taught in law school as the “inexplicable anomaly” defense? Works like a charm every time! Those mysterious Greek tycoons sure are getting their moneys worth out of the defense counsel aren’t they?

Clearly NP is going bonkers and trying to drag something, even some tiny sliver, of information out of LE, because until he knows what they know, he doesn’t dare to make a misstep that might screw over FD.

Colangelo gave NP the “no polygraph” clue under pressure. NP probably breathed a sigh of relief- he’s figuring that if MTs cooperating or has something valuable to LE, then they would’ve given her a polygraph. Aha, so they haven’t, maybe she’s still on our side, he’s thinking. But polygraphs don’t carry that much weight anymore anyway, and Colangelo could have chosen what he wanted to give up as bait, he’s not stupid. NP is really grasping at straws here, IMO.

Squirm, baby, squirm. The more you flail, the more it shows how desperate the defense really is.

MOO, of course.

I don't know if MT has had a polygraph or not but if I were LE trying to get FD in jail quickly so as to protect the children and keep him from skipping the country, I would (for now) accept whatever MT said at face value.

If she's like most of the "girlfriend crime scene assistants" we've seen, she would be willing to spill some things but not everything so as to avoid a long jail term for herself.

Since Pattis is going to poo-poo anything she says that wraps FD up in the crime, why should LE go to the trouble and expense of an inadmissible polygraph?

They have FD on video cruising the garbage cans and have his DNA mixed with Jennifer's in the house so MT could have just been filling in some blanks.

I'm good with that for now as long as it keeps FD's ankle bracelet on and his passport in safekeeping.

I absolutely hate to think what kind of attorney's fees GF is having to pay. Good NY lawyers are very expensive. I know she would spend Every. Single. Penny to ensure her daughter's killer spends the rest of his life in jail. Sadly, though it is going to be very expensive to raise those kids. Their "beloved" father is spending money that could be going to their support by continuing his frivolous litigation. What a guy.

I do hope she is at least getting some kind of reduced rate or she has so much money that litigation costs are just a line in a ledger. She is a rockstar to me! You've heard of the Notorious RGB? Well, meet the Notorious GF!

Yes! I wouldn’t have the money but I hope I’d have the determination to move heavens and earth for justice for my child as she is. MOO.

I know nothing about this situation at all but I know that you, like virtually everyone else I have encountered in this thread, consider the information provided and share your thoughts as part of an open dialogue of critical thinking about this very complicated, multi-faceted case. While it may not appear that I feel this way in light of some of my recent posts, in fact, I believe strongly in the importance of considering authentic, opposing and disparate viewpoints; we learn so much that way and can then see things we might never have seen otherwise including about the strengths, weaknesses, and biases of our own perspectives. I mean this and hope it comes through as sincere as I don’t want to make others feel constrained about sharing their opinions. I need to work on my behavior when I feel someone is trolling and denigrating others who are here with authentic opinions as I, incorrectly, thought I was being polite but firm; I need to remember that no one made me the judge of who or what is trolling. No stoning here; I apologize to you and all for having made such pushback a concern here. All MOO.
Still, I must say, your closing arguments were astounding. Better than most anything I've seen in a courtroom. I bookmarked the logical fallacy sites. I've been aware of that term but very interested to see it all explained and all the different kinds. Thanks for shedding light.

This struck me. Developing an accomplice means LE already knows the main player. LOL. Keep talking Norm. Thanks for coming to work. You're doing a great job. Hope you are investigating that "anomaly".

If I were the judge and such an order was consistent with CT. procedural rules, it would be my first order of business tomorrow. This is a high profile case, though, and as I have said before, FD is greatly benefitting from it. Everyone is watching, so the judge has to get his law clerk to research the law and draft a bulletproof order. That takes time, too. So once again, FD is playing the system, as he has learned to do so well.

Also, some judges are flat out philosophically opposed to issuing gag orders, for many valid reasons. They can be difficult to implement and enforce. Slicksters always find a way around them and it can become very messy, very quickly. There is also a feeling among some judges that such orders offend our collective free speech sensibilities and the notion of an open and fair trial. I agree these are valid concerns.

Still, there must be some limit to this conduct. It really is turning this whole case into a proverbial circus, constituting nothing more than a free continuous advertisement for NP. HE is the one keeping this in the press. HE is the one attempting to taint the jury pool, and will next claim such publicity justifies a change of venue. Some semblance of decorum has got to be imposed. It isn't the easiest of jobs but if a federal judge can issue and enforce and gag order against Roger Stone, who will be talking as they lower his casket into the ground, I am confident that this judge can likewise fashion an appropriate order here.

By the way, what ever happened to the trial that took NP away for awhile (and shut him up, as much as that is possible)? Let me guess, a guilty verdict or a guilty plea?

Pattis was recently Defense attorney in a case where he defended a guy who worked in an institution for mentally ill patients, one of whom killed his own father-the guy he defended had spent months or years tormenting and torturing this mentally ill patient. Pattis’s sadistic client was found guilty, as he should have been.

Obviously this picture was taken prior to 2017, but not sure when it was taken.

In that picture, she loves him, and he loves her money

Defense Attorney for Fotis Dulos files emergency motion seeking evidence from prosecutors
First: Pattis would like any video or audio recordings of any interviews with Fotis’ girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, conducted by police as well as any field notes. Troconis also pleaded ‘not guilty’ to Tampering with Evidence and Hindering Prosecution.

Second: Pattis would like to obtain physical evidence. In a bail hearing, the prosecutor said they had Fotis Dulos’ DNA on the kitchen sink at the home where the disappearance of his estranged wife happened. They want the DNA blood of the physical evidence turned over so they can look at it.

Third: Pattis wants access to electronic evidence from the cell phones and computers the state seized early on in the investigation. The state says they were able to use them to trace the steps of Fotis Dulos to the north end of Hartford where he and Troconis allegedly dumped a trash bag full of items containing Jennifer’s blood. Pattis says he believes the cell phones will prove his client was not in New Canaan at the time his estranged wife went missing.

Wasn't sure if the SA article about Pattis motion had been posted here:
Dulos case: Defense seeks state evidence with emergency order

Do you think ‘interviewing the former employee’ is just like MT ‘taking a lie detector test’ ?
Norm’s over-the-top indignant pontificating took a serious blow after that credibility- bursting gaffe.
MOO

From the article:
Pattis also contended in the order that state police interviewed a former employee of the Fore Group, the real estate development company owned by Fotis Dulos, Monday evening in an attempt to get the person to speculate on where the body of Jennifer Farber Dulos might be located. The former employee did not provide the information, in what Pattis said was an attempt to implicate his client in the disappearance of his estranged wife.

I suspect, if Pattis has a fat wallet, he would be
a therapist's dream- so many co-mingling, deep psychological problems still obviously
gnawing at his public psyche.

Has msm gone into his personal life? I'd bet
it's been as chaotic as his public life.
Other than his admission in msm, that his father left his mother and him when he was 8 yrs. old, I haven't seen much. But that abandonment at that age can leave long term
issues in a child. He truly seems messed up to me.

I said this last night re: whether or not Pattis was telling the truth about an employee being interviewed recently at FORE office-I don’t believe it happened. Yes, I am calling Pattis a liar.

You kid but in my quest for a Popeyes sandwich in Hartford
I saw how close the dumping spots were to the swingers club.
All kind of ideas formed.
There's KFC on Albany Ave too!

Then I agree with you!!!
Nope, didn’t happen. Just like the heroin, lie detector, Greek phone call,....

Don’t you just hate being 8 pages behind. I’m reading along and think , ‘I have to reply to that! - but should I wait and read the rest?-but then will I remember to go back to it?- or will I be taken to the end of the thread and never make my way back??’

Ahh the problems of a modern day WebSleuther

I wish GF's attorney would ask for FD's medical
records for the last 5 years and see if he got his
George Clooney nose on her money. ??
Turnabout is fair play right?

Love, love, love. Can someone order a poster with this list and send it to NP with a sweet note,"For your lobby. With love, /s/ "Everybody Knows"?

In that picture, she loves him, and he loves her money
The messages I get from that photo:
"He's just not that into her."
And poor JD is so frail and thin, not healthy, IMO. What she suffered and endured, we may
never know.
