Probably works the same way in a private school, too. At least I hope it does.

I imagine so since it’s based on legal issues and the school has a responsibility to follow court orders and keep the child or children safe. I will say that even in an area where millionaires are scarce, there always seem to be people who try to use connections and threats of lawsuits to bypass the rules and some who try to sneak in by asking an unwitting person to hold the door, etc. Vigilance and backbone are essential. MOO.

I’m so sorry.

They say it gets better but I don't think that's true. I think we just accept, realize, and understand it will always be with us. I am sending you love on this difficult day.

Yes, NCCS has a policy and procedure for this situation. The NCCS manual was posted in prior thread in case anyone is curious. Should probably have put it in media thread.

Duh on me for not getting what NCCS meant—the school. I didn’t need to reply on it at all! Sorry!

Good thing. Judge did a 'bombs away' on any/all objections brought by Bowman and MT/HO. Now they just have to resolve the FO presence at the MT/MO deposition in criminal court. Should be a few more weeks I would think if they don't have a hearing.

She can assert her 5th amendment rights on a question by question basis in the deposition.

This will be interesting to watch how it plays out and if GF chooses to initiate a separate civil legal action against MT for her actions at FORE as it relates to the repayment of money owed to GF late husband/estate. GF has the mean to simply make a financial ruin of MT and her entire family if she wanted to. I hope her family has thought of the consequences of not cooperating.

Bowman has a tough row to hoe here with MT as I would think that more charges for other past crimes could come out of the deposition related to her time at FORE. Would not want to be MT now with no deal from the State but I don't think they could protect her from other charges relates to issues arising from the Civil case but its a question for the atty's here.

I agree. And perhaps in doing what we can for another mother and her child, we honor our own.

I think this is why MT will plead the 5th, but doesn’t this immediately implicate her in this matter?

Mr. Weinstein has agreed to not discuss any matters criminally related while deposing MT.

He could attend via speaker phone or Skype. Had deposition not long ago where husband sat outside in his truck listening on phone while wife was deposed.
She was shaking knowing he was close.

Oh, that is so awful!

i am so sorry what you have gone through..

prince william and prince harry have talked about how it affected them losing their mother..prince harry said the last time he talked with his mother, he cut it short because he wanted to get back to playing with his cousins..

and here FD does a scripted tv interview in his kitchen saying he has it the most difficult???? and then he said that for the kids it would get better with time...he is unable to support them even emotionally.. MOO
Agree completely with all these comments.

Listening to the Pattis interview where he talks about FO and his 'excellent' relationship with this children sent chills down my spine and made me hugely angry that any parent would subject his grieving children to this legal shitshow that has become his life.

IMO for Pattis as a legal professional to weaponize children respresents a new low in aggressive representation for defense attorneys. There are so many ways to accomplish his goals without going the route he appears to be taking.

GF has an excellent, politicially connected and tough Family Court team to take on this battle against Pattis & Crew. But the arrogance of Pattis to talk in the interview about the Family Court where he had been dismissed from just a couple of weeks ago, had me questioning whether has any respect for the law, the State of CT legal system or himself?

Whenever I think No Case Norm has reached a new low in the world of defending his clients, he always surprises me and goes even lower. I've never seen 'go low' as an ongoing working strategy, but No Case Norm seems to be the master of it. I very much hope that Judge Heller gags all involved in the Family Case and seals all documents such that they cannot be used by anyone not directly connected to the custody case.

We have seen how FO had no issues stealing the draft psych report from his former atty and I would hate for more documents to go 'missing' for use by Pattis in the criminal matter. Would Rochlin as the lawyer of record in Family Court for FO stand up to Pattis (ringleader behind the scenes) to do what is right and/or legal if push came to shove? Its questionable IMO.

I saw something interesting today...

I had passed by a Farmington Bank today that was located in a very prominent and successful place and notice it had been changed to a People's Bank. This led me to wonder if it was just this location or if Farmington Bank had gone out of business completely. I drove by two more in separate communities and the buildings were vacant with all signs removed. I know the bank employee from the weird mortgage with MT was from Farmington Bank. Does anyone know if FD banks at Farmington Bank as well?

Worth thinking about IMO. But probably closer to home IMO.

I think that in this case in particular, few things are outside the realm of possibility. There are aspects that seem particularly heavy handed and perhaps it is not FD that is the common denominator; perhaps the many associations between people who seem to be in various types of legal trouble related to ethical issues are not in fact coincidence or even like attracts like. Perhaps there is a hub of sorts, a common thread related to money, power, and other motivators. It’s rather like that Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game where connections are myriad in ways that might seem unlikely at first. The way the tentacles of this case seem to reach out into so many disparate areas, I am not at all surprised at the amount of time LE is taking before further public information and charges. MOO.

I have no idea but how observant of you! This group does such a great job of noticing connections and not just dismissing them out of hand when anything is possible in this case! MOO.

Yes, I’m replying to myself—because if we DO down this path, those horses are on my mind again. Even expensive barns burn, yes, indeed. Hay, horses, electricity, and no one around at night are a scary proposition anyway, but if such a hub or web is involved, well, the things that are done to expensive horses for money, revenge, and messages are almost cliched. Horrible ones. I’m sorry I thought of this but now I wonder if we don’t need to go back to the start of these threads to see if anything looks different now given what we’ve learned. MOO.

I think you meant this for Laughing, and just want to be sure Laughing sees your kind words.

Yes, just double checked and Peoples bought Farmington: People's United CEO Says $544M Purchase Of Farmington Bank Signifies Confidence In Connecticut

I'm curious though if the person that worked for Farmington that was part of the MT/FO loan shell game, who took the 5th when questioned in Family Court is still in her job post merger? I would hope that the State had questioned her extensively as IMO that transaction which was pulled apart in a prior thread looked highly questionable.

I agree the barn fire incident has to be on the list as does the FO mother death.

I keep looking at all these shady people and to your point its been a challenge to figure out the connections with the limited tools available. But given the limits, we have made incredible progress since thread 1 and some of the side players that might be important have emerged via the civil case to put the puzzle together. I do think MT had Miami connections that could be relevant and who haven't yet emerged so I hope her role at FORE is fully explained in her upcoming deposition in the civil case.
