Yes, just double checked and Peoples bought Farmington: People's United CEO Says $544M Purchase Of Farmington Bank Signifies Confidence In Connecticut

I'm curious though if the person that worked for Farmington that was part of the MT/FO loan shell game, who took the 5th when questioned in Family Court is still in her job post merger? I would hope that the State had questioned her extensively as IMO that transaction which was pulled apart in a prior thread looked highly questionable.

MOO

That was so odd, too. I’m not in banking but I don’t think of mortgage-loan officers feeling the need to take the 5th. MOO.

I saw something interesting today...

I had passed by a Farmington Bank today that was located in a very prominent and successful place and notice it had been changed to a People's Bank. This led me to wonder if it was just this location or if Farmington Bank had gone out of business completely. I drove by two more in separate communities and the buildings were vacant with all signs removed. I know the bank employee from the weird mortgage with MT was from Farmington Bank. Does anyone know if FD banks at Farmington Bank as well?
The Sturbridge NC mortgage is help by Danbury Savings Bank. About Us

I hope the bank is all over the FO situation as that property has the 2 additional private mortgages and a growing list of trade claims filed against it.

I agree the barn fire incident has to be on the list as does the FO mother death.

I keep looking at all these shady people and to your point its been a challenge to figure out the connections with the limited tools available. But given the limits we have I think incredible progress has taken place and some of the side players that might be important have emerged via the civil case. I do think MT had Miami connections that could be relevant and who haven't yet emerged.

MOO

I agree on the incredible progress! And yes on FD’s mom’s death; taking these points as a group, there is much to ponder. Miami...I forgot that! And now, I wonder but don’t know if Venezuela in similar straits as Greece was/is? MOO.

Its a rule based regulated industry so if someone broke a rule to do a mortgage loan and was in fear of being charged with a crime IMO they would take the 5th.

We have been trying to figure out if the person was charged with any crime or was terminated from their job.

Its a mess there. But the good news is that I don't believe it has an extradition treaty in place with the US. Bad news is that I wouldn't think MT would be anxious to flee there. But if its between 7-10 in prison and Venezuela perhaps she would consider it? IDK. MOO

If he’s a party to the lawsuit, then he can be present at the deposition of MT, unless court orders otherwise.
Many states bar a criminal defendant from attending depositions of any witness in that pending criminal case, even if the witness is to be deposed civilly. This rule protects witnesses in criminal cases from potential misuse of discovery depositions by defendants. Not sure about CT, because it does have its own ways.

There is also a court order prohibiting him from contacting her, however. Those contact orders typically take priority over the defendant's desire to attend a deposition, particularly because the parties typically do not attend discovery depositions.

Where I come from, a motion for protective order would be granted absent a showing of exceptional need for FD's presence. If I were Bowman (or the State), I would argue there is no need for FD's presence at that deposition; he is seeking to be there merely to harass and intimidate MT.

Again, I am unfamiliar with the discovery rules and practices in CT., which may allow this practice.

I do think MT had Miami connections that could be relevant and who haven't yet emerged so I hope her role at FORE is fully explained in her upcoming deposition in the civil case.

My opinion only...he poisoned them all. FIL an M were having health issues for awhile before succumbing. If Jen had thousands of dollars of tests recently, maybe she too was feeling ill but it hadn't been pinpointed yet??

SM still works at the People’s Bank as a mortgage officer.

Does anyone know which property the woman who left the bad BBB review for Fore Group owned?

Is this the one you are referring to? If this did happen in 2018 it would be curious as this was the period where he was claiming annual income of $50,000 I believe in Family Court.

If only there is an option to give a zero-star rating! My husband and I had the worst experiences with Fotis D****, Fore Group Inc. I DO NOT recommend this builder/contractor for many reasons. We were working with Fotis in August 2018 when we came across a plot of land for custom build homes. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: The listing price for the custom built and land was within our budget and we were very clear with what our budget was from the very beginning with Fotis, but he had a much higher price point that he wanted us to be at. After the design phase, Fotis came back with an estimate that was well over by 30%!!! We had to compromise on a lot of things that we would love to have in our future home, but even shaving off all the things we wanted, the cost was still not even close to our initial budget. LACK OF EXPERIENCE: Fotis' inability and unwillingness to provide an estimate prior to signing a design contract should've been the first red flag, but we were sold on the location. He's built less than 50 homes (most, if not all, are $2M plus), so scaling to bring cost down is probably not one of his skill sets. I can go on and on with why I do not recommend this builder, but long story short, we felt very taken advantage of. You lose all leverage after you sign the design contract, where a substantial deposit is required. Half of that deposit is refundable and the other half is not refundable.

Don't know if she was "fired," but a recent 7/2019 profile has her as a mortgage broker at People's Bank in Farmington. I looked this up long ago and have never been able to figure it out. She took the Fifth in family court, so I was wondering if she could claim she was protecting client privileged information.

Very confusing, IMO...MOO

Will have to add this one to the list to see if the testimony is available or if its sealed in Family Court.

Your observations are true as a general rule but I believe the difference here is that he is a named party in the lawsuit in which MT is being deposed. As a named party in Farber v. Fore/Dulos, he is allowed to be present. It’s not some unrelated to him civil matter. HE is the civil defendant where MT is to testify about what she knows about Fore.

From the MSM link above and the following BBM

In a deposition in the civil lawsuit last week, Fotis Dulos claimed to not know the specifics about how his team was getting paid, according to a motion filed Thursday by Weinstein.

He lacked knowledge as to who was paying for the criminal defense and private investigator, except that the funds were coming from Greece and being channeled through an attorney in New York, and paid over to Attorney Pattis,” Weinstein wrote in his motion that accused Fotis Dulos’ attorneys of being on a “media road show,” and purposely ignoring requests for information and downplaying his years of financial troubles.
________________________________________________________

Really, FD thinks he has an answer for everything and everyone is just supposed to believe it, but this one takes the cake - he doesn't know "who was paying for the criminal defense and private investigator....." That is just so laughable. I sure hope the IRS is involved or will be before this is over because IMO tax evasion, laundering money possibly, money more than likely being sent overseas, not filing income taxes (as far as we know for the last 2 years it seems at least) could have serious consequences. And yes, IRS does still take the time to get involved as I recently had a family member it happened to and it was over A LOT less money than in this instance.

Aha. Like Al Capone. Could never convict him for his criminal atrocities, but the G-Men got him on tax evasion. Ditto Mr. OJ Simpson. He who has the last laugh, laughs best. Hahahahaha. So that’s how FD is going to end up behind bars. And federal time is “to do” time. No early release there.

Yes, I’m replying to myself—because if we DO down this path, those horses are on my mind again. Even expensive barns burn, yes, indeed. Hay, horses, electricity, and no one around at night are a scary proposition anyway, but if such a hub or web is involved, well, the things that are done to expensive horses for money, revenge, and messages are almost cliched. Horrible ones. I’m sorry I thought of this but now I wonder if we don’t need to go back to the start of these threads to see if anything looks different now given what we’ve learned. MOO.
The tragedy of the horses and FD being involved always seemed more to the side of probable instead of merely possible. The horses would have been a major pain in the @#$ to him. The creature I knew tampered with my electrical meter causing a very dangerous situation. I couldn't prove it but I know it was him. Too many factors involved pointing to more than coincidence. Plus, my spidey sense always knew he would do this. Someone like FD would not have thought twice about killing the horses in this manner. They don't think twice about the killing of a human, they really don't. They are cold as ice. The attitude is "it's gotta be done". IMO.

Mr. Weinstein has agreed to not discuss any matters criminally related while deposing MT.

What I meant was, she may be criminally implicated in the financial crime scene along with FD if she answers some of these questions about FORE group

This surprises me, frankly. Banking institutions are pretty rigid when it comes to potential work related criminal issues committed by employees.

I worked in banking in another state and we did everything by the book knowing we could not only lose our job but potentially be in legal trouble if we did something wrong. But it's a whole different world in CT. Add in FD and it just goes another level deeper.
