Not that it makes a difference now, but who called it an amicable divorce? They didn’t fight over any stuff that we know of, but “amicable” sounds “friendly” to me, and I am not sure I completely buy that it was friendly-she may have been relieved to see the back of him as he left, though. She hasn’t spoken publicly, so we likely won’t ever know what happened with those two. He may have called it “amicable”, because he is the one who wanted out, I think. I just don’t see him letting go of someone who he thinks belongs to him, unless he is the one who wants out. Look at how he behaved with JD, and he didn’t love her. She had to sneak away, after months of planning (likely).

Perhaps she didn’t have deep pockets or family money he needed for his plans. MOO

He can claim privilege all he wants. We are now in "crime fraud territory", my friends. There is a privilege, but if the client and the lawyer were scheming to commit to commit the crime of obstruction of justice by concocting a fake alibi, that privilege vanishes into thin air like the ground under Wile E. Coyote's feet.

A co-conspirator who just happens to be a lawyer is still a co-conspirator. IMO there is no way KM comes out of this with his license. Perhaps he should think of his own best interests and figure out if the State is in the mood for a proffer.
Thank you for this wonderful image of privilege vanishing! My new screen saver is:

Amicable in legal circles means either friendly (but usually not truly friendly bc they’re getting a divorce,) but without fighting, or at least maintaining civility. Amicable also means tolerable proceedings. She knew what was the “norm” (pun intended,) generally how things get divided. Seems she gave him some property, per WS, which I thought was rather generous at the time I read the property division. Looking back, maybe something more than needed to get away from him.

His first wife, attorney, now works in the area of women's rights. This was posted awhile back on WS. In light of your comment, maybe her experiences with FD during the marriage led her to that area of law practice. She also had an “amicable” divorce. Her training taught her to let things go and not fight him. Not worth it. MOO
I think you well understand the subtleties of
his behaviors and her graceful slide out of the marriage.
Sometimes, when you're dealing with crazy,
it's best to glide out quietly and "amicably".

I do believe FD's family values (??) and cultural
upbringing is so unlike our norms, it's difficult
to understand sometimes.

I have a family member who went through
military training for 'downed' POW pilots during the
Iraqi War. He was taught that the values of
most middle easterners was so alien to our thinking. In their culture it was OK to lie, cheat, steal, harm, kill, etc. and to not underestimate those in charge if they were captured. I've never forgotten those comments. And now I wonder if that's the cultural differences we're dealing with in FD.

If NP is keeping KM in the case to preserve an attorney client privilege, that ship has sailed. Two criminals cannot plan to commit a crime together and claim the conversations planning that crime are somehow covered by a privilege merely because one of the criminals happens to hold a law license. It is called the crime fraud exception to the privilege rule and is applied everywhere, EVEN CT.

If I were KM, I would seriously be asking myself how much further I want to stroll down FD's certain path to destruction. Why in the world would he want to take the fall for FD? As has been shown by the pictures posted by the wonderful folks here, no one comes out unscathed from their encounters with this malignant narcissist.

Next up, in MY opinion only-KM is the accomplice LE has been referring to. This means planning; this means KM is is serious, serious trouble. He needs to get independent advice of competent counsel whose initials are NOT NP, and who has absolutely nothing to do with that firm! He is going to go down with FD's sinking ship otherwise.

Mmm, two sailing references and knowing the key FD is holding in the picture posted is to a boat. Maybe it is, although I still believe the garbage dump is the actual "key" to solving this case.

I wish LE confiscated KM’s phone too as they’re may be interesting things culled from it. MOO
maybe they have....??
i suspect there's lots and lots that we don't know about. But IMO LE would certainly have a lot to gain by getting a warrant for KM's phone AND
KM's computers.

He started getting paid by Greek mystery benefactor. Bc the privilege would not be lost even after representation ends.
I hope they subpoena the attorney paying ponytail with Greek funding ASAP so this trail can be exposed. It shouldn’t be privileged to find out how NP is getting paid. Everything FD and his team does is so sketchy. So maddening. MOO

Vanished AFTER proof of co-conspiracy. Can’t breach privilege to get to, investigate or prove co-conspiracy. If LE can prove lawyer somewhere else that morning through office, court, sightings, pings, great. Can pursue false alibi. But lawyer has not made any comments about meeting. Any tidbit of info could be the break LE needs to pursue co-conspiracy. And still, guy would plead the Fifth. He’ll stay silent.

We can search for the search warrant, right?!! I guess I need to find the link to do just that! :)

He may want to stay in the circle, so he knows exactly which way the wind is blowing. And maybe both KM and FD have some stuff to say about each other’s activities, they may want to hang together and hope that neither will be hurt if they both keep their mouths shut? I really am not sure why he wanted to withdraw his withdrawal-that is quite interesting!
Is it possible that KN thought he may have been treated like a c0-conspirator and believed he was about to be charged or implicated in
the murder scheme?
This may still happen, IMO. Two peas in a pod.

How long was FD married to his first wife? Was part of this an American citizenship? FD's parents arrived during the first marriage, correct? Wonder if the first wife received any financial compensation for her "efforts"?

What? I’m confused about how it wasn’t willful not to show up? I’m not being snarky; I just don’t understand. I’ll read on. MOO.
Oh my. I have to go back and check if Judge Shapiro has been on the civil case from the beginning.

Don't understand the Judge's reading of the fact pattern of FO behavior vis a vis depositions. FO didn't show for 3. Not sure how many times he would have to not show to demonstrate a pattern of behavior to the Judge? 3 strikes and you're out for most people as a standard would work IMO and some Judges would immediately punish 1 let alone 3 no shows. Not seeing this at all. I also thought that the claim for attys fees for GF was reasonable as he didn't receive notice of the no show either and had set up and prepared for the FO deposition. This also makes little sense. FO and his atty/s were noticed properly by the court so to say the no show was inadvertent pushed the bounds of credulity in my mind. Baffled completely by this decision.

Will have to see if the other GF motion for judgment due to the no quickbooks records is ruled on favorably by the Judge.

I suspect, if Pattis has a fat wallet, he would be
a therapist's dream- so many co-mingling, deep psychological problems still obviously
gnawing at his public psyche.

Has msm gone into his personal life? I'd bet
it's been as chaotic as his public life.
Other than his admission in msm, that his father left his mother and him when he was 8 yrs. old, I haven't seen much. But that abandonment at that age can leave long term
issues in a child. He truly seems messed up to me.
There was reference to a messy divorce I believe in one of the early Pattis articles. Not surprising as he seems to have as much mental and emotional stability as a bowl of Jello IMO. If I run into the article I will repost but it was in an earlier thread when we were first talking about Pattis. MOO

Privilege extends to lawyers and all working with them to provide the service. FD has to assert the privilege. Office staff. Investigators. Like MT’s mother setting up shop to defend herself with her legal team and former employees in her closed office space. Brilliant strategy.
Probably New York lawyer extra layer of privilege. Unless simple conduit. Coming from lawyer/source in Greece who is not subject to subpoena. Again, to get to info would have to get it by proving fraud in moving money to Greece, wherever it’s stashed, and that’s where forensic accounting would come in handy. How many stops did the money make.
By the way, his passport would show travel over the years, at least on the most current passport. I wonder if he had other passports, whether dual citizenship or false criminal copies.
This will turn into an international investigation. FD better keep looking over his shoulder. Never mind the Farbers. If his finances implicate his alleged Greek “family”, he’ll be right next to JD: at the bottom of the sea.

Totally agree w/ you- KM is deep in catfish poo.
He was absolutely used by FD and he was too
dumb to see it.
Did these fools take a blood oath to protect each other like teenaged boys around a campfire? "It's US against the World, guys".

. This story is about evidence missing and probably lost in the Jennifer Dulos case. A carpet or mat left by Fotis Dulos the day she disappeared that is now gone it seems. A
A carpet or mat believed to be tied to Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance was left at a Hartford restaurant the day she went missing, but investigators can’t track it down
State police have interviewed the employees of a Hartford restaurant where a section of carpet or mat they believe is tied to the May 24 disappearance of Jennifer Farber Dulos was left the day she went missing – the second key piece of evidence investigators have been unable to track down.

Something that I've wondered about since the beginning of this case-
FD's possible criminal history back in Greece.

I just find it hard to believe a man goes from
Zero to Violent Crime/Murder without having
a previous history that foresaw this potential.

Did he kill cats and dogs? or rabbits? Or his
sister's goldfish? What's his back story?

Wish we had a way to really sleuth his years
in Greece. And I wonder if his history would
tie in with his move to US. Did his parents want to ship him off to get him out of their hair?
Did he have a juvenile crime record he was
running from?
Did he do violent things to young relatives
and the family outcasted him and/or his family?
There just has to be a backstory we haven't heard yet. MOO. Other opinions wanted here.
All excellent questions and they deserve follow up here.

We have seen violence from FD in the form of his punching the GF building worker (believe it was a doorman) and references to psychological tormenting, real fear and examples of physical intimidation of JD by FO. We saw a friend that was interviewed in the NYP wonder about physical violence with FO. He certainly appears to have anger impulse control issues as seen in the infamous quote with the nanny dropping the juice cup on the kitchen island. Even based on the little we know it seems entirely possible for FO to have had a explosive anger event and simply lose it with JD. But I've always wondered about the accomplice angle here too as when FO said he knew what he did do and what he didn't do. Seeing his busines and life where he seemed to 'outsource' any/all hard work has me thinking that he might just have 'outsourced' the murder of JD. MOO

We saw the entire issue of the gun brought illegally from FL to CT, the putting children into a powerful SUV and letting them drive themselves and comments from multiple sources about 'very short temper', JD comment about delusion and violent revenge fantasies, and JD comment about FD love of very violent movies such as Djanko Unchained.

Just writing all the above down now I do wonder if there is an escalation of violence or certainly anger over time?

We know that FO has lived/visited in RI, MA, NY, FL and CT. I think folks here have searched the CT record quite thoroughly so perhaps its time to look at the other states for info?

It's likely the mat left at Milagro's was picked up by someone to use as bed. The owner showed me a spot behind their place where homeless people sometimes sleep. He showed state police in May. They seem to be game changing pieces of evidence in Dulos case now in the wind.
the surveillance video's show a man that prosecutors have said is Fotis Dulos grabbing the mat and/or carpet and placing against the wall of Milagro's. It was long gone by the time state police detectives showed up the next week
The restaurant is located adjacent to the garbage can where another city man told The Courant he found a bloody pillow and a knife. Neither of those items has been found either. All of the items were disposed there by same man on the night Jennifer Dulos was reported missing.

Thank you. Jennifer would have been enamored. FD is most likely very charming and charismatic when the mask is on. Full of life. Larger than life. The (seeming) sum of the whole would have been greater than the sum its parts. He would have seemed VERY attractive. I know men with far less to work with physically who can light up a room and have women chasing them. Men with little to offer. Women want them, men want to be them. I can see where JD would have found him attractive. IME.

Yeah. As much as I hate the guy it's silly to try to say he's unattractive. He's not close to just okay. He is a good looking guy. Or he would be if he wasn't a murderer.

I find the photo of him and JD that someone described as him allowing her to hug him as particularly telling and sad. He is a narcissist and had such disdain for his quiet, long-suffering wife.

But millions of women would've jumped to be with that person.

He repulses me but I think I can at least be objective enough to analyze him based on typical societal standards of beauty.

And just as you said, the hyped up mask would've made him particularly appealing to many women.

I'm guessing there were tells, however. Things that even when he was in full charm mode showed what he truly valued and hints of who he was.

Sources said police haven’t found the missing carpet or mat that they believe either was taken from the back of Farber Dulos’ Chevy Suburban or from her New Canaan home. In interviews with The Courant Wednesday, two employees of the restaurant -- Milagro’s Restaurant on Albany Avenue -- said state police detectives went to the restaurant shortly after Memorial Day and asked them if they had seen a man place a piece of carpet against the outside wall of the restaurant on the evening of May 24 or if they had seen anybody take it after that.

The carpet or mat was left in close proximity to where investigators said they found bags of bloody evidence tied to Farber Dulos stuffed in trash bins along Albany Avenue – the same area where investigators believe a Hartford man removed a knife from a trash can. Sources said there is surveillance video of a man near Milagro’s walking near a black SUV and grabbing the dark piece of carpet or mat. The man can be seen walking to the corner of Milagro’s and leaning the mat or carpet against the restaurant wall near a trash can. The man then walked back to his vehicle.
The employees at Milagro’s said investigators visited the restaurant days after Farber Dulos disappeared and asked if they had seen a man place the mat or carpet up against the building, and if they had seen anyone take it. The Courant is not identifying the employees because they are possible witnesses in a criminal investigation.

The employees said the state police detectives then removed a garbage bag from a small garbage can the restaurant kept outside the restaurant on the sidewalk. They also thoroughly searched the two dumpsters located in a grassy area next to the restaurant.
