But, how many are actually competent? I'm not optimistic that the number is high. IME. IMO.
What’s with all of Pattis’s references to Christmas gifts?
He must have had some childhood trauma where he didn’t get what he wanted. Keep it on the couch Norm! This isn’t Christmas, sorry to say. If you don’t like these gifts, there’s worse coming.
“If this were Christmas morning, I’d be saying ‘I’ve waited all these months for this paltry gift?’” Pattis said while holding up paperwork detailing the new arrest. “There’s not much here that we haven’t heard before.”
‘It’s an exhausting fight,’ Fotis Dulos says after arrested on new charges in Jennifer Dulos disappearance
“It was like waking up Christmas morning and getting an IOU,” Pattis said during an interview with WPLR’s Chaz and AJ.”
Jennifer Dulos case: No ‘clear video’ of Fotis dumping bags, Pattis says
@MassGuy, why do you think she wasn't hit with additional charges today? The arrest warrant language on how she didn't cooperate and then lied and then changed her mind was pretty damning IMO. Also, the prearranged 'alibi notes' were absolutely stunning as well! She withheld, lied, then cooperated.
Jennifer Dulos case: Prosecutor predicts ‘media sideshow’ without gag order
State’s Attorney Richard Colangelo said in one of two memos filed at the Stamford courthouse that defense attorney Norm Pattis has “undoubtedly crossed the line” with “improper and damaging” comments made publicly about the high-profile case of Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance.
Media coverage has been extensive and pervasive. And much of it is centered on comments (Fotis) Dulos’ lawyer has made — many directly to the press — about the case,” Colangelo said.
Colangelo asked the court on Aug. 7 to impose a gag order. In his memo Wednesday, he warned that Pattis’ statements could potentially prejudice future proceedings in the case.
“An essential tenet of the American justice system is that a criminal trial is not a referendum, and its outcome should never be determined by public-relations campaigns in the court of public opinion. Rather, verdicts must be based on evidence and argument received in court, untainted by outside influence,” Colangelo said.
Colangelo’s memo comes two weeks after Pattis penned an argument against the gag order that claimed Fotis Dulos has the right to respond to “damaging public comments fueled in large part by the warrant filed on existing charges and the sotto voce whispering of tattle-tale officers whispering innuendo to eager reporters.”
A second memo filed by Colangelo on Wednesday also argued in favor of denying Pattis’ motion from July to dismiss charges against his client, calling it a “poorly constructed Trojan Horse.”
“The reason for this is simple,” Colangelo said. “By authorizing an arrest warrant, a judge has already determined that sufficient evidence supports prosecuting those charges. No further hearings on the issue are necessary.”
Holy Sh....According to the warrant, he was lying in wait for Jennifer, ultimately taking her body with him in her vehicle.
Blood was found inside and outside this vehicle.
I wonder if FD really even thought about the holiday weekend. Memorial Day probably wouldn't mean much to him as it's strictly an American holiday.
If only he hadn't been caught red handed dumping the bags, I think he believes that in time everyone would believe JD really did just leave. At least it may have given the children enough reasonable doubt to believe FD was innocent.
From the beginning, Pattis and his crew have deliberately ignored anything to do with the crimes that have been charged. The evidence regarding those crimes is overwhelming. But, without those charges and that evidence they must feel there isn't much evidence supporting a murder. Or they want the public to believe that.
I remember Pattis prattling on and on about no murder charges as if the charges that have been made don't matter. I think it would almost be worthwhile to go to court on these charges and file the murder charges after the conviction. It would be nice to make NP face the fact that his client is a nut job and that Pattis can certainly relate to him.
MOOOOOO
I’m at a complete loss. The murder case is right there.@MassGuy, why do you think she wasn't hit with additional charges today? The arrest warrant language on how she didn't cooperate and then lied and then changed her mind was pretty damning IMO. Also, the prearranged 'alibi notes' were absolutely stunning as well!
Wonder how No Case Norm spins this one? The picture trail is extensive and deep. And the WS theories were pretty damn close too! Incredible to see this play out in video!
MOO
I’m skimming the arrest warrant, and I can sum it up in two words:
He’s done.
Shocking amount of detail there, and a ton of evidence.
Anyone familiar with the Kelsey Berreth case will also see similarities in how MT interacted with the police (KK).
She told provable lie after provable lie, before she admitted the truth.
He understands leather and its absorption properties if the seats were leather and ditto for cloth seats. No way to remove DNA evidence. The seats had to be burned, sunk or disposed of. Funny FD didn't take care of this himself. Delegated it to the person he wanted to set up! Lazy or Stupid? You pick! MOOWhy would he want to switch the car's seats out? A question I have as I read the warrant...
I agree. Pictures tell the complete story over 20 pages in full color.I’m at a complete loss. The murder case is right there.
They need nothing more than what they have, even if they are waiting on additional lab results.
We know what his employee said, and we know what MT said. I don’t like the idea of this information being out there, and FD walking free.
Why they have yet to pull the trigger is beyond me. I’d love to know why.
That reminds me of Hans Reiser, who removed the passenger seat of his vehicle after transporting the body of his estranged wife in it. Ugh.Why would he want to switch the car's seats out? A question I have as I read the warrant...
You have some catching up to do. (Me, too.)Wait a minute...I see all these posts...has something good happened?! It’s been a crazy-busy day for me so I know nothing...I’m going to hope for good news like I used to (fine—like I still do) hope at Christmas for a pony... I hope! Off to read!
I know. This could easily be mistaken as an arrest warrant for murder.
This case is far stronger than I thought it was, and I already thought it was very strong.
This is terrific news! I wonder how "confident" and "gregarious" FD is now? I look forward to NP's next media appearance. MOO!
