I’m a few pages behind but this deposition and his “financial statement” but I found it completely unbelievable, let me restate, UNBELIEVABLE from someone who supposedly has a degree from an Ivy League university in Finance? Economics? Are you kidding me? He prepared his own unaudited financials with such rubbish as “footnotes”? I’m no financial genius, and I went to a state university...earned an MBA but he’s a 3rd rate con man.
P.S. he’s going to love a state prison culture. As always, MOO

BBM - Indeed! What is your professional opinion of using the IRS loan and 401(K) loan to pay credit card debt? Also, GF's attorney revealed in a recent interview that FD's tax returns reflected a loan from his FIL (approx. $1 million). In 2017, FD asked his accountant to change this loan into equity. The accountant refused, so FD found another accountant who agreed. What is your take on this transaction?

Hahahahaha.
No. Meant to be funny bc it was past my bedtime, too, and I had asked if another sleuther who was past her bedtime is under the covers with a flashlight.
I’m just wide awake now. No reason. Just can’t sleep.
Anyway.
This community is awesome. I’d rather spend time here, too much actually, than tv. TV is a TOTAL waste of time. IMOO.

Oh, you WERE funny! I just had power on my mind because storms were forecast here and I was tired myself and apparently thinking way too literally! That brings back memories of me as a kid reading under the covers long after bedtime because I never have slept a lot. I so agree on this community being awesome! Thanks to people here, I learn so much, I get to see different perspectives and aspects of life that I wouldn’t otherwise, and I get to spend time with people who are trying to help others. As you said, awesome indeed! I also almost never watch TV; I never did much as I liked to read so much but in my efforts to simplify my life, give me more time to focus on meeting my goals, and gain peace from the quiet, I let dust overtake the TV (I think of it as an experiment in dust accumulation!) unless my kids are here from college, etc. I think of the time I spend here as a way to learn from extremely smart, interesting, altruistic people although I probably should spend some of that time dusting the TV! MOO! Have a great day!

I’m sorry but we’ve been patient since we first started following this missing person case - I feel this is a bit condescending to all of the sleuthers here - we are very aware of the charges so far IMO

Please accept my apologies. Not what I meant at all with the post and no condescending meant at all. None.

Maybe I should have put quotes around LE logic/talking.
“What we have ...”
to the end of the post.
This is what I imagined LE could be saying to everyone. Not that they did or certainly not word for word.
LE explanation for lack of visible quick progress towards the ultimate goal: Murder charges with an expectation of a guilty verdict.

Assurances by LE that they have everything under control but need more time to sort through everything would be another way to put it. Again, my ideas of how LE could potentially respond.

I’m hoping this short explanation will allay any lingering concerns that you may have with regard to my chosen words.

at the end, they show a statement from FD's attorney RR, that there was 'no order for child support'..well mr dulos, there was an order for you to continue payment of health insurance and you stopped paying for it!!!! seriously dude???
^^^Exactly! And he has 5 children that were also his responsibility so does he think he needs a court to order child support? What an idiot! Just because he wasn't ordered to pay child support, then he didn't pay it! Talk about a deadbeat dad who claims he loves his children. Yeah, loves them so much that he can't even take responsibility to try to support them!

I’ve been on timeout before (on another thread) for being argumentative...maybe more than once! I’m trying to behave, but at least on this thread, it isn’t difficult.

I also think people on this thread are very civil!

Maybe because it's almost 2 AM here, that sounds way complicated but thank you, Hope.

I think I'll just choose to complain.

I wonder what FD is doing with himself tonight, what his thoughts and fears are.

He must wonder what he'll be doing next Thursday and the next and the next.

Considering that makes me much less concerned about my own lost time.

You are right—too complicated in the explanation and probably the execution! I’ll blame 2-AM-itis!

Fotis Dulos’ arraignment today in connection to his wife’s disappearance has been delayed from 10am to noon at the Norwalk courthouse.

And, IMO, this is just the tip of the iceberg around his financial shenanigans. Much more lies beneath. MOO!
I wonder who was helping him ship cars from Greece and why

As I said earlier, I haven’t followed closely and have a renewed interest in this case after seeing the Dateline episode. I know you guys have been busy here for a while...

For those who may be skeptical of guilt, and/or would like to see more evidence before forming an opinion (which of course if fine :) ), I’m wondering what the “explanation” is for the altered license plate in the gutter. The blood evidence can attempt to be argued it seems from the attorney, but how do they explain them altering the license plate and dumping in the gutter? Iirc, I didn’t see the attorney address that, but he did attempt to explain away some of the other things, moo. I mean obviously you don’t alter a plate and dump it for no reason...it’s circumstantial, sure, but I think that would show a jury they were no doubt up to something.

These guys seem like really dumb criminals, moo.

Again please excuse me for missing the prior threads and kind of jumping in here mid-case. I’ll try not to ask any stupid questions. Hopefully my facts are straight on the above post from my minimal knowledge of the case.

OH BOY! I missed this one! Is it in the transcripts? I need to read! This takes FD's game to an entirely different level. MOO.

In watching the wonderful interview of Atty Weinstein today (extended version) I was glad to see a partial answer to a question I've long had about any CPA's working on the books of FORE and taxes for FORE/FD.

Its strange that with such a simple business (paying others to build houses) that FORE/FD never seemed to be able to submit taxes on a timely basis and its unclear to me what exactly FORE/FD submitted to Farmington Bank/Peoples Bank for its various loan requests. This is certainly quite unusual IMO.

It appears that there have been accountants over the years working with FD/FORE. I wonder who they were and why FORE/FD wasn't able to produce basic financial reports as we saw FD Family Court Lawyer Atty Pytranker putting together financial reports for submission to Family Count based on what sounded like single pieces of paper from FD.

Atty Weinstein mentioned though that up until 2018 the FIL was shown on the taxes correctly as a loan but when FD demanded that it be converted from a loan to equity this accountant refused. FD being FD found a new accountant that agreed to the conversion of the loan to equity.

I wonder if we will see these two accountants deposed in the civil case as it would be quite interesting to hear their take on why it was so so difficult for FORE to generate financial statements and tax returns.

Having the testimony from the accountants would be most useful if Atty Markowitz (KM former partner that seems to be having administrative issues finding all the various FD/FORE real estate files) was compeled to produce the requested mortgage documents of FORE activities.

MOO

GF's attorney is a true gentleman! His interview gave some great insight into the civil case. I'm curious to see if FD contests the foreclosure. It appears FD spent money like a drunken sailor.

BBM - I sure hope so. I also wonder if LE has interviewed these accountants. I hope they are digging into FD's financials, because, IMO, it is the motive. Did you catch the part where he said JD was not on the listing agreement for 4 Jefferson? Why? I asked my husband about this, because he is in real estate. He said FD could not have sold the property without her. All MOO!!

Pretty much everyone here knows FD committed this crime. There is really almost ZERO doubt. I feel comfortable making that statement. Every 2 or 3 weeks, someone posts who says there is doubt and when sincerely asked for alternative explanations of the evidence, there are none. It is never explained for example how the blood evidence could have any sort of innocent explanation and not point right at FD. The altered license plates....lots of theories but nobody knows for sure. All MOO.

Reasonable doubt though. This case won’t be built on one piece of evidence, but on many. You can discount one piece, but there is always another.

They add up.

We’re not on the jury, and this is the court of public opinion. I’ve seen enough.
I agree. As Joey Jackson, a well-respected defender said on HLN about this case, there is enough evidence already made public in this case to convict for 1st degree murder. A reasonable doubt does not mean any and all doubt, it does not mean jury must be 100% certain about every specific fact, nor does it mean the jury should speculate about what could have happened, to the exclusion of the evidence presented.

The reasonable doubt instruction, which is given by the court just prior to their deliberations, allows jurors to use their common sense to evaluate all the evidence presented at trial with an objective eye. Many people think the State is required to disprove every facts raised by the defense. It isn't.

IMO the evidence already disclosed is sufficient for a conviction. The State wants to prove premeditation in this case, which is why it is being meticulous in its investigation before charging Dulos with murder, and that is a rock solid strategy. Still, IMO (and that of a number of legal commentators), the facts already known are more than sufficient for conviction.

Hi
Yeah it’s in the transcripts Page 3
He couldn’t remember the name of the transporter

Attorney Weinstein has been added to my list of heros....After watching the video of him last night, in which his compassion and intelligence were clearly displayed, this transcript is priceless.

Many, many of the things we've suspected about FD and his "way" of doing business seem to be confirmed. Trips looking for investors at ski resorts, in Miami (water skiing and MT's family), Greece, etc. are just the beginning. The idea that he imported cars from Greece is fraught with possibilities. Oh, my...MOO
