Its disappointing to not see Judges standing behind their motions. But Judge Blawie punted on the Atty. P. motion to dismiss until November so the case at least has that going for it right now. Search warrants will also be unsealed soon (unless the seal is extended) so that info will become public. This is a hugely complicated case with much digital and forensic evidence. I agree it would have been a positive to have seen a stronger position from the bench and State, but this is a long game. Can't give up IMO! MOO

It sure is slow going, I agree and IMO, but hopefully given extra time, the State/LE will be able to wrap up their investigation of JD's disappearance / murder and file charges.

Towards the end of the video of the hearing today, the judge said, I think, in terms of a continuance, that there were 'some issues to resolve related to discovery', and Colangelo replied in the affirmative, and said that he had just received a 4 Terrabyte drive of files from FD's attorney? That's a lotta stuff! Like millions and millions of 1 MB files.

Hmmmm. Wonder what's on that drive that the State has been waiting to review. MOO too.

KS probably has a family and therefore he’s more sympathetic with the victim. He refuses to be BFF with a psycho killer. He isn’t as evil as NP IMO. I can see him going home today and snipping off his ponytail!

I think Pattis has a family, too. I am less inclined to think of KS as more principled, and more inclined to think that he doesn’t like being abused by FD, because he won’t collect as much from “Mr Green being in the house”. He won’t benefit from the sideshow that this case is becoming, as much as NP will, so he doesn’t feel the same need to suck it up with FD’s crappy attitude.

He will! PT2 aka Atty Smith alluded to just such future appeals. IMO Judge Blawie is grossly underestimating what Pattisville will do to derail any form of justice via abuse of the appeal process. Judge Blawie had the opportunity to stand behind his 'gag order' motion and chose to not stand behind it with sanctions or punishment either for Pattis (who was on the phone with the Greek interviews) or FD. Hugely disappointing show for justice today IMO. MOO

When you view the video from forward camera it appears that Atty. Smith not only made a 'zip it' gesture but he also was clearly giving a 'middle finger' to either/both the Press group or the Court. FD smirk at seeing it all was the 'tip off' IMO. What a crew. MOO

I can’t stand it. I don’t know how GF does it. It’s just unimaginable. FD and NP are trying to kill her by letting this thing just drag out, day after Godforsaken day. :*(

Although...I really have to wonder about the Court and not just FD and NP. We have fast track systems in place in other parts of the country. Even if they haven't got their act together to file murder charges, they could be proceeding a bit more quickly on the other charges, or am I missing something?

Maybe this case should be treated the way organized crime cases are treated, as a series of crimes. I realize that's not going to happen, though. I do think that in other states, murder charges would already be on file.

IMO - Looking at the side view in no way appeared like he was giving the finger !! all his fingers were extended absent the two he used to make the zip the lip motion. Maybe this pic just appears that way because that camera shot caught the rest of the fingers hidden ? I don't think FD appreciated the zip the lip motion by KS. He is used to Norm 's bloviating. IMO

Sorry but I’m more cynical. I want to believe KS might be a more decent human, but with this group of people I tend to think it’s some manipulation such as “good cop, bad cop.” Everything they do is for a reason, IMO. The other possibilities include: they’re trying to make FD look like a victim by leaving him to deal with press on his own; FD has run out of money so he’s getting the backup atty; or FD has made enemies of his legal team and they are fed up so not babying him any longer. I’m going with manipulation of the public as my first guess. KS is just as culpable as NP in all this. Not like he hasn’t gone along with all the other shady stuff and can’t get a job someplace else.

Ponytail 2 (must be a requirement for working in that office) came out with some weird comments for a courtroom. Did I hear correctly?..."It's still a pig no matter how much lipstick you put on it" (sorry can't remember what that was in reference to).

According to Ponytail 2, NP reviewed questions prior to that blog. If NP has trouble abiding by the gag order, how can he advise his client to do so?
