IMO who knows why an attorney with such a wonderful reputation would roll in the mud with these criminals and “play the system” instead of simply being a great defense trial attorney like he was for so many years.....IMO

I hope someone knowledgeable can answer this-I am thinking the same thing you are...In and out quickly, that seems to be the way it all goes. And I think, depending on what happens tomorrow in her court visit, we can assume that FD’s court appearance will be much the same, except that NP will be blabbing some kind of ridiculous nonsense.

Tomorrow marks 5 months since Jennifer disappeared. NBC has put together what appears like a dedicated Jennifer website. Pretty incredible.

It took me awhile (distractions) but I finally checked the NBC interactive map and timeline out. Excellent way to jog your memory about early facts that have been forgotten with all the fake news. For example, Pound Ridge. Ten minute drive from 69 Welles Ln, NC. Exit 35 High Ridge or perhaps even back roads, but within Gray Hughes' radius for disposing a body and hopping back on the Merritt to be caught on video at the first rest stop in NC, timestamped. @BellaVita jogged my memory with the $1.5mm detail - FD built/renovated the Pound Ridge property in happier times. Was this the red flag waving in front of the bull? JD was supposed to be in Pound Ridge, like the 911 call FD made in when JD fled and filed for divorce in 2017?

What made LE visit Pound Ridge on Thursday, May 30? Wasn't the property sold almost right after? I remember ignoring the Pound Ridge search because I thought LE still believed JD was alive and hiding out there and I knew she was no longer alive. Did FD drop his brick there? IMO, MOO.

IMO, FD is a hothead. FD is very sensitive to any kind of slight, real or imaginary. Bull in a china shop reaction when FD believed New Canaan Day School was slighting MT and her daughter. Thank you to the WS who provided that detail, I think it is important to understanding why FD seeks vengeance on those who "wronged" him and happen to live in NC. MOO.

I wonder whether he SEETHED while doing work for them. Again, he strikes me as someone who just always has OPPOSITE emotions, compared to normal people. Instead of gratitude, resentment. I want to go on record here: the ultimate "in your face", Pound Ridge is my #1 guess for leaving JF's remains. A place he could access with some sort of ease, within the radius of opportunity, AND a grotesque win for him, disposing of their daughter in their own backyard. A sick mind would delight in that.

I am certain he had been plotting this crime, probably in any number of configurations, for YEARS, probably ever since Jennifer left him, cutting off his access to the money he'd grown to love. I bet further he sees the world very differently than the rest of us. Revenge being his lifeblood. He likely saw the lay of any land as perfect places to get rid of a body, which is why I'm convinced he was able to do what he did with such horrifying efficiency. Question is, are there cameras between Welles and Mallard?

The FD insensitivity to JF relationships in the school community and with the school administration also seemed to be of epic proportions. I also very much wonder why in the world with all the schools in the area that MT would want her daughter to be part of a community that was by all accounts so close to JF? Why would FD want this to happen too? The area has any number of good schools so why was this school so important? Was FD and MT trying to prove something? But I also wonder why they (FD and MT) would subject an innocent child to the overall situation?

I've been trying to figure this out for years. Only thing I can come up with is that most of whatever happens at these meetings happens in chambers and not on public view. My guess is that these visits have the perps check in with the court and their parole compliance is reviewed and most importantly it gives the attys involved a way to bill lots of $$$. I do think the Judge is trying to see where MT and Atty Bowman are in terms of working with the State and perhaps is trying to gauge whether that process is moving or stalled and if its stalled then perhaps the process needs to be made faster in order to move to trial rather than spending more months on a process that is on a path to nowhere. Last time the court appearance had the defence getting some discovery materials so perhaps they will get more discovery this visit too. Sadly I have yet to be convinced that MT will ever become a witness for the State and others here have told me to have patience and that this takes time. So, I guess we will simply have to wait and see if we have any signs that MT is cooperating. MOO

I agree with all of this. I think FD and MT were intent on driving Jennifer completely crazy with their antics. Constantly jamming their disgusting affair in her face, and making no secret of it in their local community. I actually think that they were trying to make a fool of her (as if they could) in the school where the children attended, and anywhere else she felt comfortable. He hated her, and by association, so did MT. He wanted to take away everything she had-her money, her home, her children, and her sanity. He was going to leave her with nothing, not even her reputation as a wonderful, caring mother. And he still hates her for managing to put him in “this mess”. There is nothing at all in him which is redeemable. He is the devil.

Yes, FD and MT were effectively working hard IMO to humiliate JF in the community of the school where she had worked hard to integrate herself for a number of years. IMO it was petty, mean and unnecessary as there were other schools in the area where MT daughter could have gone and thrived.

What I do find stunning is that you would THINK that MT as the mother wouldn't want her daughter in the school where JF had so many relationships and was well known? People talk and its a small community. MT was already known as the sleezy spanish mistress/GF of FD in the community who flaunted the affair for a year or so and by all accounts was ostracised by the local Moms and ridiculed behind her back.

Why subject your daughter to this as you know the kids will know too? To me this entire school story was as much about MT as it was about FD. What mother would subject her daughter to this possible gossip and ridicule????? Also, who would want to join a community that doesn't want you and where your BF has to 'buy' your way into the school and community?

If there weren't other good schools in the area, some of this might be understandable but there are many choices in the area, particularly if you have funds for private schools. I really also wonder if MT paid a dime for anything associated with her daughters schooling?

Huge red flags IMO about MT and her 'fitness' as a mom in this entire story. Just writing this has me really wondering if finally the baby daddy woke up and took the daughter away from this cesspit of a family in terms of the Arrezzea/Troconis clan as I find it hard to believe they can be a good environment for MT daughter. Wonder if we will see any changes to permanent custody in the future as I hope that the innocent child is not made to suffer for her mothers choices with FD.

I absolutely agree with this and we know that the property was searched. We don't know whether the adjacent pond/lake was searched with sonar and we don't know if dogs were used in the woods or surrounding land. To me your POV on this and logic are spot on and I just wish we knew more but beyond the early search we haven't heard of anything else. We also know that GF dumped the house for a fraction of its value relatively early in this case for reasons that we can only speculate about here as nobody has any facts. Its a shame because the property was a beautiful one and no doubt a restful respite from the city but perhaps the memories were simply too painful. IDK. MOO

The other think about Atty Bowman is that I believe his rep is as an atty that will work to get a deal and is able to work with feds or state to make that happen. I'm not sure he is as known as a trial atty. This might just be perception but he spent so many years as a prosecutor that my sense is that he knows the local landscape and can maneuver the system on behalf of his clients. This compares to Atty. P., who in his own words signs up for a court date with every case and doesn't really have the same history of negotiating deals on behalf of his clients even though he has done a few so far as I know.
