I am not a lawyer, so I do not understand on what basis FD is permitted to proceed like this-isn’t anyone going to put a stop to this ridiculous nonsense? Can FD’s records requested in the civil case be subpoenaed? And if so, isn’t he required to relinquish them?

You not being a lawyer has nothing to do with you not understanding how FD is getting away with all this “ridiculous nonsense”. None of us understand why and how this is happening.
He’s getting away with murder. IMHOO.
If we took a vote, I’d bet there’d be a landslide opinion as to what he’s getting away with. Everything. IMHOO.

HOBI usually gives out a glut of awards, so rest assured, his company wasn't the Blue Ribbon of award winners. He won under sub categories (Best Mud Room, Best Walk-in Closet etc...) in addition to Best remodel in Hartford. Still, your point is well taken. What?!?! How?!?! Heading to Connecticut this week. Certain to visit Bridgeport. Truly remarkable.

Looks to be a 'feel good' event for all the people that no doubt contributed to the trade association or supported the sponsors. Looks like many awards were given out too, not sure if all the members got an award? Would be interesting to know the level of 'competition' and how many people enter in each category too? Its interesting that many of the high end builder/developers aren't part of the roster; guess they might not need to be? IMO looks like a promotional opportunity for all involved.

Its a cable station, based in NJ I think owned by large French media company--not CT based anymore and not sure even whether they have any full time news staff left in CT once they shut down the Norwalk, CT operation and fired all the staff that was local to CT, and it might be limited to subscribers only. I'm never sure how their website works for non subscribers. But will post there for you if you'd like. Just let me know what you would like to say.

The only award FD has earned is the Golden (3 letter word, starts with a) Award. Haven't heard of it? That's because I created it myself. I am visualizing rump molds in traditional sizes such as small, medium, large and extra large that can be spray painted gold, that the recipient can hang on a wall or place on a table.

I feel Atty Weinstein's pain in this motion as it seems like the old 'delay delay delay' tactics from FD/Atty BM just keep on rolling. A last minute deposition of the Plaintiff in the case is just another chance to extract information about the Farber family assets IMO too as is claimed by Atty Weinstein.

The idea of doing a deposition literally on the eve of trial and attaching a document list for the Plaintiff at this late date is understandably anger inducing, especially as the Plaintiff has responded on the document request list from the Defendant any number of times previously IMO.

WHERE IS THE JUDGE???? Why are the same/similiar issues in terms of documents and discovery still kicking around and being recycled over and over it seems?

I do wonder when/if ever will Judge Noble stop these tactics by the Defendant?

WHEN will this cycle ever end and why is the Judge not seeming to do anything to rule on ongoing items of contention or confusion? Baffling to watch this play out.

There is no way to end the games and ongoing delay tactics and fishing for information by the Defendants in this matter IMO unless the Judge does something and takes control of a process that sadly seem to be spiralling out of control IMO.

I realise this case has had multiple Judges over its lifespan but the situation that Atty Weinstein is facing on the eve of trial (12/3) is absolutely unacceptable IMO and IDK why Judge Noble is permitting this all to happen?

So disappointing to see this in the CT courts, yet again....

You know, maybe the judge not forcing FD finance records to back up FD claims they were gifts.
Once GF says not gifts, it’s on FD to PROVE that they are gifts. He cannot show up at trial with documents that he has been asked to produce to now at trial, to prove the money was a gift.
Judges are so clever.

edited to add: it’s too late then. And with no proof, other than accountant just changing entry because FD told him to change it to gift, that’s against accounting principles, I would think. Wonder what previous financial documents used to apply for loans indicated? And old tax findings???

Judge Noble appears to be far out of his element as far as these characters go, and they know it. I think he will try hard to do what he thinks is fair between the two parties, but Team Fotis frequently appears not to function as officers of the court are supposed to do. They are accustomed to running rings around their victims and the judges, and the judges seem to be afraid of being overturned-so they bend too far in that direction, and the victims continue to suffer. I’d really like to see a judge with a backbone take up this civil case, so we can get on with the next phase...more new criminal charges for FD, MT, and some of their crooked friends in the legal profession.
