Seems to me a set up for her future lawsuit against the jail, state etc.. JMO
Or Traconis was pretending to be suicidal in jail so that she could be transferred to a hospital.

I would love it if he happens to put the nail in his own coffin by keeping a weapon in his own house with her DNA!
It would be fortunate, but it would also show a special kind of dumb. He's been doing a good job of convincing us he's dumb, but that would take it to the next level. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if this is another red herring by FD and NP to cause more noise..
If anything could be tracked back to FD - it would have been long long gone, even after his ankle hardware tracking him - by KM...
No. The judge did not embolden this monster to commit murder. That’s hyperbole, IMO. Millions of people misuse the system without quick consequence and don’t become murderers. Respectfully, that’s illogical.
And the judge didn’t fail to do anything she was able to do. There has to be a motion for sanctions or contempt. Then there has to be a hearing. And if you practice family law you are well aware that custody and DV actions come first on the docket. So the hearings on sanctions or contempt (depending) come last.
In this case as they litigated child custody other issues were on the back burner.
It’s super frustrating and not how we want things to work and it does penalize those without money. But it’s due to lack of funding.
I’m sort of surprised with your response because for me, your description of how you would throw people in jail seems to me to be a lot more like what a lay person would say, frankly, than an attorney familiar with due process, civil procedure and the legitimate defenses against contempt. It sounds great but it’s not how the system works and in fact it can’t be how the system works and still be a just system. We have due process for a reason. We aren’t Iran.
I think any experienced family attorney would know that nothing unusual happened in this case with the judge. Is it right how this divorce and other cases unfold due to the vagaries and impacted state of the system? Of course not. But it’s sort of the best we can do unless people want to shift many more tax dollars to the court system for more judges. And they don’t. People want their tax dollars to go to schools and infrastructure and child protective services before it goes to courts.
And it has nothing to do with the murder with the exception that this guy is a psychopath. And he felt cornered and losing face, once the system began to be able to impose consequences. So being a psychopath, his solution tot hose consequences was murder.
What’s ironic is people think that if the court system had been able to impose consequences more quickly he wouldn’t have had a reason to kill his wife, in his mind. In fact, I think he just would’ve killed her sooner.
Or Traconis was pretending to be suicidal in jail so that she could be transferred to a hospital.

I believe Jennifer was dead, no matter what the court did here.
I recall the case of Darren Mack, who was also going through a contentious divorce with a terrified wife. She was scared to death that he would find out where she lived.
Ultimately, the judge ordered that he pay child support and alimony. His response was to stab his wife to death in her garage, and shoot the judge.
Psychopaths don’t care about court orders, and they aren’t worth the paper they are written on. In some cases, the court order is literally the motive for murder.
People want to believe that there is a simple solution to cases like this, and tragedies are easily preventable. Where there is a will, there is a way, even when it comes to murder.
Give her full custody. Grant her a restraining order. Still dead.
I’m not sure if the source of this info but Fd has a US passport as well as a Greek passport. FD was born in Turkey but I don’t believe we have confirmation of a passport from that Country. MT was born in TN but grew up in Venezuela and her actual citizenship so far as I had been widely discussed but not confirmed by LE. MSM has stated that MT is from Argentina but it is not known if she has a passport from this country even though she lived there for about six years. All passports from FD and MT had to be surrendered.
Given what we recently saw in the Goshen case, I’m not sure how much passports can stop anyone from fleeing if they are determined and resourceful!
You’re correct. We have due process and all of the other rights.
But there comes a point where one must take the bull by the horns.
My last case was as frustrating as JFD. Judges didn’t want to hear about it. I took over from another attorney who was frustrated at the lack of judicial action on behalf of our client.
Our client opted to forego child support and finished the case by trying it pro se. Received the house and custody. And has moved on. I believe she realized it’d be an endless fight. He was prone to violence as well. She took what she could and moved on. Safe route.
As to toothbrushes in my drawer, that would be if I was a judge and had had MORE than enough of the antics. Ok once. Maybe two, even three blatant disregarding of court orders. Three wasted court appearances of time, and effort of everyone involved. Judge. Associate Judge. Lawyers. Ad Litems. CLIENTS. I’m not saying every case three times and you’re out. I’m saying yes, give them a chance. Multiple chances. But at some point do it. Judge Heller opined in her Orders about FD. It was way past time to act. IMHO. The party causing delays will support the extensions. The parties waiting for child support, financial information, whatever else has been ordered to be produced and not produced have due process as well.
Neither of us is in this fight. But I’m trying to make sense out of THIS case compared to others that I have witnessed, participated in or otherwise been made aware of. Years ago, I fought for father’s rights as much as mother’s rights bc I could see the injustices. This was not an even fight, IMO. that’s all I’m saying...
Interesting FACT there are hospital facilities very close to York/Niantic, her temporary "home" and the staff @york do NOT hesitate to triage inmates, PRN!
Time sure does help muddy the waters, but with FD, knowing that without a doubt there is no way JD body will be found, he had that. *I say this as my friend's ex was arrested in June for stalking, harassing, threatening her, in CT btw, and the ex H driving her off the road WITH their 3 children in the car...my friends incident was 1 month after JD went missing, and my friend asked LE, will JD ever be found and without missing a beat the officer said, nope, IMHO she is in deep deep water and will never be found. I remember at that time, NOT believing that, and that EVENTUALLY JD would be found...but here we are 8 months later no body..
But, what I do think was going to happen was, with JD body long gone; FD was not going to miss a beat with that "missing estranged wife business" and with the time to dispose of EVERYTHING properly and at his discretion, there would simply be NOTHING tying him to her 'disappearance' and he would keep promoting his GG theory to the kids to make them HATE her (memory)..that his plan was him, the mistress and 6 kids keep living in absolutely free luxury, private schools, nannies, back to water skiing, vacations ...he would sue Farbers, etc., etc., and keep living the lifestyle he had become accustomed to via Jennifer's wealthy father..and when people would mention his missing wife or "anything new on the wife", he would smirk and LOL...and eventually take all 5 kids, MT and her kid to Greece and peace out..
Sorry brookesmith: it's Latin, used as shorthand for as needed! Slipped into "work mode" for a minute.Sorry, what is PRN?![]()
