The state police tracked his cellphone in order to catch KM while driving on I84 in Tolland. FD had called him the morning of the arrest to warn him.
Wonder if they gave KM a Breathalyzer after they drew down their guns?

There’s FD all polished up in his blazer waiting with his attorney for the police to pull through the archway garage at his mansion. Even MT had a matching red sweater and jacket at the ready, if not her usual blowout and heels. Probably remembering what jail was like last time and going for the “natural” look. Nope, you don’t get to bring the Babyliss or stilettos.
And then there’s KM, in what appears to be maybe an undershirt, looking both bewildered and as if he’s trying not to cry, attempting to gun it over the border after having cut a client meeting short to attend to a “family emergency”.
If it weren’t so tragic, it would be comic. More fodder for the Netflix series.

Important new piece of info: JDs phone arrived Waveny at 10:38am. Last activity 11:09am at Waveny after that no longer on Network.

Leaves Welles 10:25,
8 minute drive to Wavery. I would expect 10:33 arrival.

Tacoma passes NC Service Plaza at 11:12 That is a 4 minute drive, so that fits.

The 2015 Chevy Suburban, damaged in an accident on 05/17/2019, and regularly driven by MT was seen on surveillance IN THE CUL DE SAC where 69 Welles sits.

Also anyone notice that the location of the accident on 5/17 with MT driving is the same place (I-84 in Tolland) where Mawhinney was arrested? Sheer coincidence? (35 minutes from 4JC)

The landline at 4JX was still in Jennifer’s name-the call came from that phone, I think

That would make sense. Depends on the company but sometimes even if the billing name changes the caller Id will remain the same if it’s the same number. For example, my landline at our ranch still has my grandfathers name, even though my mother and then I have been the billing name. He died 24 years ago. She died 5 years ago. Few people use landlines anymore so it could have gone under the radar - or it could have been spoofed.

I am not remotely caught up, but these warrants include cell data for Avon self-storage (190 Old Farms Road) on 5/24 from 215 to 245 PM, which is about 10 minutes from 80MS and is adjacent to the lake LE searched that had the waterski club FD was a part of.

Appears to be on May 24th since that's the date that the affidavit is focused on. Seems to be that the 2015 Chevy Suburban (registered to Fore Group) was seen on Thurton Drive on May 24th -- per the affidavit Thurton Drive is a dead end that ends approx 600 feet from 69 Welles La.

I thought the bloody Weathertec liner they got rid of on Albany was from JD's Suburban?? They got this one from FDs Suburban on 5/31

So it is more complex than we thought.
From this search warrant, we learn

1 FD's Suburban was on Thornton Drive, just through the woods to Welles.
2. Its Weatertec liner has blood on it (we do not know whose blood) and there was also a bloodline stain in FDs Suburban

Is this a match to JDs blood????

Too many phones, too many cars, too many people, did he really think he'd get away with this?????

(this isn't a complete list just highlights)

This is probably JDs phone, was left in Suburban.

Is the woodlike fragment related to the axe?? Now they have the axe, could see if there is a fragment missing. Might be a long shot here but they took the woodlike fragment into evidence.

I think this is the first I’ve heard about a phone.

The wood like fragment could have been something tracked in from footwear

I am not sure. I had a land line a few years ago with a Verizon Bundle which obviously belonged to a doctor prior to me getting the number. A Geriatric Doctor. I would come home from work to a million messages from older folks. I did some research and found the doctors new number and would call the people back. I felt so bad they were waiting for a return call. I finally got smart and put the doctors new number on my message. It worked. I contacted Verizon and they stated they reuse numbers and apparently it is outlined in their contract.

Did MT go with LE to one of the homes after the murder? I can't spend time on the SW right now, so if someone comes across what was done at that time, could you please post it?

@Gardenista, Yes, MT returned with LE to tour 4Jx after the arrest. Fox61 has drone footage of her walking around the property with LE. We don't know if she did the same at any of the other properties.

I have attached the New Canaan Tax Records for 71 Welles Lane.

Question: Do we know which cars were parked in which bays in the garage. I'm thinking the Suburban was in Bay #3 (farthest to the right), the Range Rover in Bay #2 (center). What was in Bay #1?

Assuming the door from the garage into the house was between Bays #2 and #3. Was the blood found on the passenger side of the Range Rover and driver side of the Suburban?

No, blood was found on passenger side of Suburban. So I've been assuming Suburban was in Bay 1 (furthest left), then the RR (where blood was found along the drivers side from the door to bumper) and Bay 3 was empty (believe this area to be adjacent to rear yard and door to outside).

Are others seeing it this way or are my assumptions here incorrect? Need a visual.
