These warrants are riveting. LE really outdid itself with this investigation. It appears that Mr. Patter may have not chosen the best tactic in prematurely announcing that stupid alibi.

THIS is why he is a bad defender; a good one would never, ever have announced a defense like that base solely on his client's "word." The failure to investigate a defense fully before opening one's mouth is plain old bad lawyering.

It is a also rookie mistake that Gerry Spence used to warn his students about until he lost his voice. I am now more fully convinced that Patter's claimed ties to Spence are more BS. To think that Patter is going to help convict Dulos; How ironic!

Back to the SWs.

YES! So good to see you, Oceancalling! I’m off to the SWs, too.

As we know , MT had alibi / pictures of herself the morning of murder posing, running errands , returning purse etc . Time frame was established that she couldn’t have made it to crime scene and back .

KM and FD communicated the night before the murder, is it possible the conversation was regarding KM using the Suburban and did he meet FD and switch his car for Suburban the night before the murder with the altered plates attached . Did they meet when FD went out to get more meat for his dinner party ?

OR

KM was at FD’s Office the morning of the murder . When KM left did he hop in the Suburban and high tail it to JD’s house and thus , that was him in Suburban?

I stated in an earlier post that (maybe) the altered plates were never used on the Tacoma like we had thought .

I was Thinking about it further and it makes sense .

FD wouldn’t need to alter the plates on a Truck that wasn’t his. However , He would want to alter plates on a car that he owned to hide it’s ownership and /or familiarity To anyone that might recognize it.

I’m thinking the altered plates were on Suburban driven by KM .
Moo

Replying to myself ...

Self ,
You might be wrong .

If the Converse shoe prints are MT’s that supposedly exist in JD’s garage then maybe MT’s Alibi is a hoax Or she had enough time to make it to Welles . Maybe, KM drove MT to Welles In Suburban and she was in the garage helping FD clean up ( maybe they both were)?

She then hopped back in the Suburban with KM and they sped back home or She helped FD transfer JD to Tacoma and was in Tacoma with him ??

Is it possible MT and Fd switched shoes after leaving? I haven’t read the SWs yet but you sometimes see where a student wearing sandals will forget about a lab and trade shoes with someone else, even if the person is of opposite gender and has shoes that look it. Maybe to throw off LE at the house? It sounds dumb even to me! I’ll go read! MOO.

Still processing all the new data points! Still so many holes. Was KM the accomplice in NC or a player to be named later?

40 unaccounted for minutes at Lapham in New Canaan with apparently no tire tracks to indicate a second vehicle

Meticulous work by LE. Kudos!

Atty. P. and Fd going down for months spouting the 'alibi script' will no doubt go down in an annuls of 'how not to defend a client'! Sad thing is that they are still doing it!!!

MT inability to speak to LE and lying from jump in this case is now absolutely understandable!

Makes perfect sense why LE stopped talking to MT in August, 2019 and why no deal was forthcoming.

Oh KM....no words for him yet, other than Why?

Might we see more conspiracy to murder charges for BOTH KM and Fd?

Just might be a matter of time.

Tick Tock.

Exactly at the car wash. Because putting vague and wrong information on a form somehow counters any video surveillance that might be collected.
I love how in this case it is just mounds upon mounds of camera surveillance/footage.
You can leave your cell phone at home. Set up two pretty weak alibis. Have a paramour who is stupid as she is greedy and evil to be your partner in crime. Associate an attorney with all sorts of issues to help carry out your plans. Use your employee's Tacoma. Park your Tacoma where you believe it won't be spotted near the park. (LOL at the bus camera footage LE got there). Use your vintage bike and wear a hoodie. Dump trash in a seedy part of town. But keep your phones with you because you think it won't matter and you know that JD has now been reported missing. Wear a baseball cap...you can do all of this but it doesn't matter because cameras are everywhere. Shave your head and probably other body parts before the crime. Set up fake accounts ect...write out alibi scripts...

NOne of what FD did or planned for accounted at all for the cameras everywhere. Even on the neighborhood streets surrounding JDs home. Even those.

No matter how well a person (persons) try to cover their tracks, they always leave something behind. And boy did FD and boy did MT and KM to a lesser extent. No matter what brains or lack thereof only get you so far and luck always runs out.

Isn't awesome that criminals are so stupid....helps them get caught. Or as my DH ( retired trooper) says "dumb criminals are good for job security"!

Just to make sure I’m understanding this.

After FD returned to the location where he parked his coworker’s pickup, and dumped Jennifer’s vehicle, it looks like he spent close to 40 minutes there (according to Jennifer’s phone activity)?

3 co-conspirators with little doubt here IMO.

Fd 40 unaccounted for minutes at Lapham in New Canaan with apparently no tire tracks to indicate a second vehicle at that location.

Did the body transfer happen at some other location on the trip by Fd in the JFd Suburban from Welles to Lapham?

Meticulous work by LE. Kudos!

We see all the cell tower dump requests but none of the results yet. Were burners used by Fd and accomplice/s? Did LE find the burner phones in the tower dumps? This work is time-consuming and painstaking.

HOW could they not realize these things? They used technology even if they weren’t experts, and he built houses and certainly knew about houses having cameras. And HOW could they think that people would shrug off a kind, devoted mom of five kids disappearing? And, of course, HOW could they do this? MOO.

Used to be one in town but closed 2017 or 2018 so any may 2019 transaction would most likely be Merritt Parkway rest stop

I sometimes see them in gas stations or box stores but no idea if there are any there. MOO.

This is the thing I'm hung up on too. (A nap? Downloading music?)
While we've been complaining about the delay in a murder arrest, LE has been trying to figure this out.

Did he forget he left the phone there and send someone back to retrieve it? Am I just completely confused after a nice long break from the case?

Haha!

A good amount of forensic work here for you to take a look at too! Blood trail extended into the house it seems and went up to the JFd MBR.

Fd apparently made it into JFd MBR based on the evidence. What was he looking for? Search warrant makes reference to financial documents and papers in JFd house. Passwords perhaps? Was he looking for will or financial documents or perhaps her latest book draft about her life whilst married? Did he get the health documents for $15,000 from Welles or someplace else.

Copious amounts of blood and even a bloody footprint in the garage.

Oddly enough I could find no reference to the security system at Welles. Why? Was it off or does it offer video of precisely what happened at Welles and who exactly was there? Could the system have triggered as every zone that Fd went through to get to the MBR issued an alert? Or, was the system turned off or disabled?

Possible accomplice/s in NC using Fd Suburban which was seen on dead end street behind JFd Welles house.

Stupid criminals indeed IMO!

I have got to read the SW’s before asking questions but no tire tracks doesn’t have to mean nothing went anywhere, does it? Drag a bag or that water-ski carrier through the woods? Get out a drum and seal it up? Ride a bike and some else sweeps up the tracks? I’ll go read and hush! MOO.

Thank you! Long work days for the next week and the bombshell drops while I'm away. I am compelled to read the SWs, even if it means a later night.

Same here!

LE say unaccounted for time is 40 min.

Where was Petite Peter Pan?

I think the last time this was discussed, most thought Fd might have jogged into Waveny possibly with the phone in order to lay the foundation for a disappearance while jogging.

It was a hell of a risk, no matter what he was doing. For him to take a chance like that, I’ve got to believe that he was doing something that he thought was absolutely necessary.

I’m wondering if Jennifer’s body is out there somewhere.

I don’t like the jogging theory, as his alibi was that he was home.

Maybe, he was retracing his steps in his mind , going over everything he just did before he took off in Tacoma .
Making sure he didn’t forget to do something at crime scene since he knew he couldn’t go back to New Canaan once he left .

Just another example of an experienced liar. Remember his lack of a name, an indication that the Tacoma was a different model, and using MT's phone number.

And did you guys see the password for his backup account? I know people use all kinds of words without meaning them but still: harikari. Remember his love of war books and him reading them while Jennifer was cleaning up after sick kids? MOO.

But could he have gone out a back way so no one likely would see him? If he felt sure no one saw him leave, he still could say he was at home even if not. MOO.

Cutting it up? Hiding it temporarily? Both. That horrible man! MOO.
