Hearing on bond is over. Judge issues a re-arrest of Dulos and adds $500,000 to the murder charge. It pretty much puts the whole bond issue on hold while Dulos is in critical condition in the hospital. @News12CT

Wonder if they are just keeping him alive until family arrives?

Kinda sounds like it to me, his chances of survival appear to be very unlikely given the amount of time they worked on him, the initial COD that was reported and the 4 hours from garage to hospital

I thought his sister was here . . . at his house yesterday . . . just out for awhile while he was busy in the garage . . . why is she now coming from Greece . . . sometimes the reporting is just . . . so . . . confusing/wrong . . . seems like they just 'make stuff up' . . . like the 'new' girlfriend . . . I feel confident that GF has consulted with whatever therapists have been working with the children, and I suppose that she would take the childrens’ feelings into consideration (along with her own good judgement). What a heartbreaking mess Fd has created for his children!

Truly awful. They lost both parents. They have to live with the horror and evil that resulted in that loss. Probably really feeling stigma and shame.

It’s the worst. And it keep worrying about who will care for them when GF is too old. I’m worried his family will get their hands on those poor kids. And then talk about what a hero their dad is.

Yes, its annoying as there was a MSM link for sister being in CT yesterday. It could have been a relative or nothing. All speculation other than what we heard from Atty. P. this afternoon and all I have to say about that is take that for what its worth too! Very frustrated with info flow/lack of info. The States decision regarding this communication issue has been consistent throughout this case so I'm not sure why I'm feeling frustrated with it all now as we have been dealing with it for 7 long months. Perhaps its conflicting reporting that happens when there is an info vacuum? IDK.

I thought it would be the issue of not going to his court hearing that was Strike 3. He chose suicide instead. Does anyone have the video? This is highly disappointing and the only thing I can think of is that nobody expects him to return to CT. What is going on???

What's going on is his lawyer, a known liar, just made a statement without any proof. He didn't look as upset in the media speech. He can say whatever he wants to say and get his client a better deal even if he's actually recovering.

We have not heard a thing from the hospital. I wish we had real knowledge of what was going on.

Watch his face. Doesn't he actually look relieved and relaxed, compared to yesterday? Anyone being in the hospital can be considered in "dire" condition. It means nothing, really.

Despite how I feel about the abyss of tragedy here, I don't envy his family's trip here. What a miserable journey.... nobody deserves this pain.

Bigger still, my heart is heavy for the children. WE can't get our heads around this, and they're going to have to find a way to do that, daily, for the rest of their lives.

I keep going through the timeline of yesterday and so far as I can tell the only people apparently NOT looking for Fd at Noon in Stamford were Atty Colangelo and CSP. Why?

I know if I were Judge White I would be incendiary and ditto for Atty Colangelo. Yet, it wasn't the tracking people that apparently alerted on Fd not being where he was supposed to be yesterday IMO based on the reporting we saw yesterday. Why?

Maybe we don't have the full story but I do hope Judge White investigates what is going on the with monitoring as I'm not convinced that Judge Blawie and Atty Colangelo resolved the monitoring situation following the previous Fd 'detour' into Westchester County.

Yesterday we saw the bail person most likely make the call to Farmington PD for the wellness check at 11:54am and then we have Atty Smith in Stamford getting concerned that his client was nowhere to be seen at 12:15pm. Atty Smith was baffled to not see his client in Stamford IMO.

Monitoring folks had to have approved the departure from 4Jx to Stamford and so with real time tracking would have be alerted that Fd had left 4Jx. Fd NEVER left 4Jx yesterday (except by ambulance) and so I wonder where the monitoring people were and why CSP weren't on top of the Fd movements yesterday. Clearly the results of not being on top of the bracelet situation IMO speak for themselves and have been played out now for nearly 24 hrs. with continual media coverage.

The travel time from Farmington was known and the location of Fd and time he was due in Stamford IMO was also known. Yet why did it appear that nobody knew that Fd didn't depart 4Jx in time to make it to Stamford yesterday? Real time tracking capabilities exist with the bracelet and that was how it was able to be determined that Fd had never left 4Jx. But what is the point of having the technology with the bracelet if its not being utilised properly to track a person accused of murder who has a vested interest IMO of flight?

What I wonder also is if nobody on the monitoring side was watching Fd yesterday to make sure he left 4Jx as scheduled, who is to say that at somewhere between 10 (possibly when the person staying with him left 4Jx) and 10:30 am (when he got phone call from the Hartford bail person) instead of trying to commit suicide he simply got in his car and went to the local airfield and got in a plane and simply headed north or for parts unknown. Fd yesterday IMO could have escaped and had at least a 1.5-2 hr jump on LE and it appears that CSP and Atty Colangelo would never have known.

Yesterday was interesting because there was a fixed time where many people were looking for Fd (he was supposed to be in Court for his hearing at noon). Whats also interesting is that Fd had to get approval to leave 4Jx and drive to Stamford and be there for a period of time (assume 1.5 hrs on the road). This put Fd on the roads in CT and if he had gotten in his car yesterday and based on what it seems like might be going on with the monitoring, I'm not at all sure he couldn't have also driven in a totally different direction for a good long time before someone figured out what was going on and attempted to find him?

I find this quite disturbing and I have to say that I don't have much confidence in what we are seeing regarding the bracelet monitoring! The tech on the bracelets is quite clear and we have discussed them endlessly here on WS. But if nobody is watching then what is the point of the bracelets?

I hope Judge White or someone in Hartford or Stamford tracking this case investigates what happened yesterday and how so much time was allowed to Fd without apparent supervision and not following his prearranged travel plan without seeing CSP showing up at 4JX. IMO CSP should have been at 4jx if there was no alert that Fd had left 4Jx by 10:30am. Instead, we saw Farmington PD scrambling to enter 4Jx shortly after 12:00pm.

Not sure what is going on but little about this timeline and tracking makes much sense to me. The Judge released Fd with very serious charges and took it for granted that he was being monitored. Now, it appears that this might not have happened in the way that the Judge expected.

Hartford I think we just might have a problem here!!!!!!!

I am not sure that the Monitoring company even knew there was a court appearance.

The Bond Company called States Attorney Colangelo about 8:45 am on Tuesday and requested an Emergency Hearing.

Then SA Colangelo contacted Pattisville about 9:00 am, just 15 minutes later.

Then Pattisville contacted Fd minutes later and explained the issues so that Fd could work toward a different source for his bond. We learned that Fd had at least 2 phone conversations with a new Bail Bonds company that last spoke with Fd about 10:30 am.

Once ALL the Parties have been Notified and Agreed to a Time, Then the Emergency Hearing Court Appearance was scheduled for just a few short hours later at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday.

The Court could Not schedule the Emergency Hearing Until AFTER Everyone had been Informed.

With the very Short Notice of just 3 hours, they had to make sure all the parties could accommodate the schedule.

What if All of Pattisville were in other courts or out of the country or in DC like NP? They cannot have a Court Hearing if the Defendant's Council is Not Available for a very short notice hearing.

IMO, With all the last minute conversations, Someone FORGOT to Call the Monitoring Company to let them know that Fd would be heading to Stamford for a Last Minute 12:00 Noon Emergency Court Hearing.

I do Not think that person was Fd. Fd is criminally accused and on House Arrest. I don't think the Monitoring Company would take Fd's word that he 'all of a sudden' had an unplanned Court Hearing. They would have wanted to hear from the Court or even Pattisville before Approving Fd to leave 4JC.

This would Explain Why the Monitoring Company did not realize there was an issue. For all they knew, Fd was exactly where he was supposed to be.

This isn’t all that common place so you’re right...seeing the SW if we ever do will be interesting.

I got the sense yesterday from the many articles I read and coverage I watched that (1) FD was terrified of going to jail
(2) That he possibly had an escape or escape plans in place including suicide
(3) hearing at around 9 am yesterday morning that the collateral for his bond had basically fallen through and he was unlikely to be able to bond out sped up his plan that morning
(4) what has he been up to since January 9th when he bonded out after the murder, felony murder and kidnapping charges? And will there be anything that LE finds in their search to help the States case?

1-4 are MOO based on everything that has been put out on MSM since we first learned that FD was a no show at the emergency bond adjustment hearing.

All suicides are treated as a criminal investigation. I think the probable cause is at least two-part: Investigators found FD locked inside a running vehicle in his garage trying to gas himself. Police need to search the scene for evidence that FD was responsible and no evidence of a second suspect in his attempted death.

Next, FD's suicide attempt is evidence in the current charges against him. Investigators searching for dying man's declaration or suicide note that may have additional information on the disappearance of JD.

ETA: WFSB/3 live coverage cited suicides as criminal investigation and police were preserving scene. Lt Vance narrating begins about 4:00 mark.

Yes, sadly all we get in this case is 'he said' only and not even the benefit of 'he said' and 'she said'.

What I am baffled by is that we have an individual accused and charged with some very serious crimes by the State of CT. This person was barred for leaving his home and under house arrest. This person attempts suicide and is transported outside CT to NY (yes I know extradition was waived) where he remains in unknown condition for treatment. His medical condition is unknown to the public at large.

Were any details on the medical condition of the accused presented in Court today (I just heard the ongoing word salad from Atty. P. about not commenting further on Fd medical condition other than to say 'dire')?

What happened to Judge White's last threat of '3 strikes and you are out' or 'bond doubled' from the prior Court appearance? The fact is that Fd didn't show up for his bond revocation hearing and under the Judge White prior statement this would have been strike 3 (technically its strike 4 but I won't quibble on this with Judge White!).

Is Judge White saying that the exception to the ridiculous 3 strikes rule is that you get a ball call or pass if you commit suicide? It sounds insane to say this but this entire situation IMO makes little sense. The only thing I can think of is that nobody in Court today expects Fd to make it out of hospital alive. I just wish I had some level of confidence in the system working on any level but sadly for me and on this case that has simply evaporated.

I wish I could believe that this isn't just another example of Atty. P. ongoing gaming the system to get his client bond when the client has insufficient assets to support the collateral requirements of said bond. Atty. P. went on about title insurance etc. IMO title insurance isn't the issue here. The issues are prior claims which are bona fide and insufficient value due to real estate market conditions. Fd tried to use 2 properties in foreclosure for his bond and his title claim on 4Jx I believe is non existent or being currently litigated.

Apparently nothing happened other than the info about rearresting, bond going up $500,000 and waiving extradition. No explanation on why the CSP weren't looking for Fd yesterday when he didn't show up in Court in Stamford even though his bracelet would allow for this level of monitoring. Unreal.

This could all be moot if Fd dies I guess. We will just have to wait and see.

Such an ongoing disappointment to see the CT process play out and over 24 hrs to get a search warrant on 4Jx?
