Absolutely. That's how we study stages of death and causes of death in the brain. That's how we get slides of various types for teaching!

All brains are dead when donated, by the way, and it's the pathway to death that is truly interesting to study (if you're an anatomy or pathology ghoul of course). In this case, the effects of carbon monoxide could be studied as well as the brain could be looked at for CBI which, I'm betting at least a donut, would be the case with Fotis.

Thank you for this information/explanation. Certainly fascinating! I was def thinking along the lines of something being very wrong with FD's brain.

I wonder if that means he left a note.

Fd could have had all kinds of documents or his notes in the house regarding his legal strategy. Or he could have communications with his legal team on his phone, computer, etc that would be privileged. Things that are seized could be seen by the pros. team if no taint team is there.

I don't think he would leave a note. He was a control freak who would not want anyone interpreting his words. All this is JMO though.

Personally I don't think he had time to leave a note. I think he reacted quickly, with some sort of plan of how to end his life. I think he knew what to do but I doubt he left a note, although I did say yesterday I was hopeful he left a confession.

The study of various kinds of deaths is what gives us clues about how to know how long brain tried to stay alive, what died first, which cells were dead longest, whether bleeding occurred, etc. In this case, it's the brain's reactions to CO that would be fascinating to study (it's not like there are thousands of cases that plop into the hands of eager scientists).

I wonder . . . I wonder so many things. What is MT thinking (and being told). What is she feeling? And what about KM . . . but mostly I wonder what the children have been told and what they are feeling . . . so incredibly sad for them. I hope that whatever they need for closure, whether it is to see their father or not, is decided and supported by someone who knows what is best for them.
