How does this preserving the evidence help the case and does it point to a likelihood he'll recover? <- Any lawyers want to weigh in on this?

"Fotis Dulos left a note protesting his innocence over his wife Jennifer's murder before unsuccessfully attempting suicide in his home, it has emerged."

Why is this even news? He's always claimed he was innocent; what's new?
suppose because he technically still represents FD and that’s what a lawyer does in this situation.

Help me out here, why wouldn't they "preserve evidence"? Is this a way for NP to talk about the note around the Gag order? He can say whatever he wants in his motion and he knows it will be put out into the world, or is this a normal thing?

Precisely!!

So FD proclaims his innocence and goes out of this world thinking that will be the last word because he said so? Did he forget that his accomplices will have trials and the evidence will still be shown for all the world to see? Yet I can't feel happy about a man's demise, even a murderer. It's all so sad and terrible for the kids. I do believe he loves his children, in the only way he knows how to love (or, past tense now?): with narcissism, control issues to the extreme, possession and rage and ego, but for him that was love, and I am sure however complicated and hurt, the children love their father - what a disaster. Jennifer would have done anything to give her children a beautiful life, and it comes to this. For no reason, none, just greed and rage.

BBM above.
FD works on greed and rage, as you state @AbbyG.
As we have seen in the past he reacts angrily, quickly.
This suicide attempt was another case, of reacting, possibly premeditated if matters lead to going to prison.
He possibly had this plan, at the back of his mind.
As with other actions, garbage run, memorial damage, FD rages and reacts, not considering the consequences, not thinking ahead.
How on earth, has he won here, as similarly losing with his other actions.
MOO.

I think the part about NP has evidence to prove it.

They've lied about that all along, too. Nothing new at all. :)

But the biggest why of all:
Why try to off yourself if there is, as they claim, proof of your innocence?

Wonder if we'll get another late night story from DA with new deets.

If his client is dead, can he still defend him like that? What's the point? If he does...give it up already, dude.
Well, won't they still pursue charges against the other two even if he dies?

Is Norm done with the case or will he still be involved?

And what does this mean for MT and the lawyer friend? I can't figure out if Fotis dying is good or bad for them.

Apparently nobody edited this for errors prior to submission. Tells you a lot about a law firm.
He should be getting penalties of some kind for these repeated errors in his motions, in my opinion. It's unprofessional. There are standards. MOO.

If GF has any notion to sue Rena for her part in this financial scheme, she better do it now. So much easier to serve papers bc the defendant is in the state. And maybe the Admiral, too.

Who is the Admiral?

My day in the Bronx is over. I’ve turned things over to my nightside colleague who’s keeping watch at the hospital and will have any updates on Fotis Dulos’ condition tonight on @News12CT.

What makes you say that? I just remember the last hearing when KS was putting a hand on FD's back in a warm, conciliatory way and I got the feeling he DID like him, and he seemed quite shaken by the suicide attempt. I think FD has one the unspeakable and I despise him, can't stand NP either, but I thought maybe KS was the more humane one.

That’s shtick. A lot of defense attorneys pull that for the benefit of the jury or jury pool.

Gosh I recall those horrible murdering rich boys out here in CA. They shot their or nets to death and then went on a spending spree. One of their attorneys dressed her client in little sweaters and was constantly picking at his sweater and smoothing it and cuddling him. It was gross. She was trying to make him appear more juvenile and vulnerable than he was by acting motherly toward him.

Gross.

Oh I assume NP wants to make sure he doesnt give a deathbed confession that makes it worse for NP.
I dont believe any emotions from this family, lawyer, and murderous mistress

If he’s brain dead or in a vegetative state there shouldn’t be a risk of that

Yeah, that's exactly why it doesn't make sense. If there is really solid, absolute proof that is indisputable, then why not keep up the fight?

Especially after fighting this long?
