The general vibe from the early court walks were as if the group of them were off to a ladies lunch at the mall or the country club, complete with cocktails or champagne. There appeared to be zero recognition of the place where they were going and the seriousness of the proceedings. In short, they as a group made it look as if it were all one big JOKE. IMO today looked little different except that there was less giggling and smiling. I'm not sure they as a family are treating this experience at all seriously. I'm also not sure that that as a family they care one whit about JFd or justice, its all a game of the system.

I do wonder today if 'Dog Bite', the new attorney realised when he described MT Mama A as a psychologist whether he was aware of the fact that she lost her license to practice as part of her agreement on the Medicaid Fraud settlement? I'm not sure the Atty today had much awareness or knowledge of his client or her family at all. Quite surprised actually given that he felt compelled to mention that MT/Mama A interviewed 12 attorneys.

Maybe Atty. DogBite is doing this for FREE.
You know, just office costs, because he heard Jose Baez got lots of rich people cases after
Casey Anthony. Well maybe not free, but I'll bet he's not high priced at all.

FARMINGTON — Fotis Dulos feared a Plainville man — who talked his way into his home around the holidays in an apparent effort to write a book about his case — when he received a text message from the man about how he believed God sent him “to end this painful drama quickly,” according to a police report.

Brad Ragaglia, 61, of Plainville, is now facing a first-degree trespassing charge after he was found at a Fore Group property just three days after Fotis Dulos died from an apparent suicide while accused of killing his estranged wife, Jennifer Dulos.
Detectives told Ragaglia not to have contact with Fotis Dulos after investigating a harassment complaint filed on Jan. 2, according to police reports obtained Friday by Hearst Connecticut Media.

However, a Farmington police officer on patrol saw a car parked in the driveway behind 80 Mountain Spring Road, which is owned by Fotis Dulos and his company the Fore Group, around 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 2, the arrest report said.
The officer drove up the driveway and discovered two vehicles, Ragaglia and a woman on the property, the report said. Ragaglia told the officer he was showing the woman the house, which was unoccupied, and that he was writing a book about the Jennifer Dulos case, the report said. Ragaglia told the officer he had been in contact with Farmington and state police about the disappearance, according to the report.

They told the officer that earlier that day the woman reported to West Hartford police about finding what appeared to be a grave on the Metropolitan District Commission reservoir property, which had been previously searched in the investigation into the May 24 disappearance of Jennifer Dulos, an arrest report said.

The officer realized Ragaglia had been instructed to stay away from Fotis Dulos and his family after a series of events that occurred in late December, the police report said.
Ragaglia was issued a summons for trespassing and the woman was given a ticket for simple trespass. Ragaglia was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Hartford Community Court on Feb. 19.

Ragaglia told the officer that he thought the Mountain Spring Road property was owned by a bank and that it was “stupid” to stop there, according to the report.

Ragaglia first came under suspicion on Jan. 2 when Fotis Dulos reported to Farmington police that the man had talked his way into the home by expressing kindness and giving him religious gifts, according to an incident report.

Dulos said he was concerned for his life after the man who he identified as Ragaglia had sent him a text message conversation apparently intended for someone else, the report said...
The messages included references that Ragaglia purposely tried to gain the trust of Dulos by being kind to him, but was actually trying to get the Farmington man to say something incriminating in the murder of his estranged wife, the report said.

The messages included a passage reading, “I am certain that God put me in the situation to end this horrible drama quickly,” Ragaglia was quoted in the police report as writing in the text message.

Dulos turned over to investigators the text messages, two religious books, a small bottle of “holy water” and a bottle of magnesium pills given to him by Ragaglia, the report said.

Dulos wanted the “holy water” and the pills to be tested for poison, police said.

Ragaglia admitted to Farmington detectives that he went to Dulos’ Jefferson Crossing home on Dec. 24 to show empathy for him, the report said. ..
Ragaglia told investigators that he had no plans to harm Fotis Dulos, but was trying to gain his trust so he would say something incriminating, the report said.

Detectives warned Ragaglia that if he appeared at any property owned by Dulos he would be arrested on a first-degree trespassing charge, the report said.

Norm Pattis, the criminal defense attorney for Dulos, did not mention Ragaglia’s name, but told a judge and the media during a court appearance last month about the man coming to his client’s home.
Police: Fotis Dulos feared man accused of trespassing on his property

Good to see that Stamford Advocate and Lisa Backus are ON IT! Good article and solid reporting! KUDOS!

That was difficult listening to. I had to put on headset, to listen closer. The translator, and her attorney, plus prosecution attorney speaking was a challange.

Do we know the name of this "business" ??
I don't want to promote it here by naming it. But if you look on her Linkedin profile it is there. Its a dead animals rug business that is identical to Made in China products available on eBay and other places IMO.

Did we ever determine if he is working for AC or better yet MT via Normie Jr? Sure could seem like an attempt to get at/influence a witness. Just seems odd.
I'm not sure how tangled that web is but I'd imagine there are very few degrees of separation. I don't personally think that JS (Normie Jr) would be NP's puppet--we could be looking at a bit of a rivalry here? I'm sure that defense attorneys of a certain ilk compete to an extent for the high-profile defendants. CT's a small state!

All I know is that I totally believe that there are good, righteous people who represent those charged with crimes, I do not think that we are seeing any of them thus far in this case. All MOO

One thing that stands out to me is lack of mourning for FD. She broke up a family over this man, fascinating IMO.

Agreed! I am just FINALLY getting back online to see what happened today. Now...I'm just saying, but if I was in her shoes, this is more the kind of attorney to get. Bowman I really like too, but for the major mess she has gotten herself into she needs someone more forceful. Don't bash me, but I think the interpreter was a smart move on ALL ACCOUNTS. She actually looked alert and looked like she understood what the hell was going on. I mean, yeah its obvious what's going on - but this is HER LIFE ON THE LINE!! She looks more confident...and maybe with this confidence, she will be more willing to tell her side of the story.

Or vice-versa. Don't know who the informant is, if either. Is this Morales guy big? What was/is his profession?

Generally informants are as good as dead unless they are LE, attorneys could be safer, depending, and/or HUGE. Nobody likes the snitch, and everybody without a chance of release is looking for a way to gain status. Punishing or killing the snitch works very well.

The crime that Morales has been accused of is horrific. KM better be sleeping with BOTH eyes open IMO.

He may be a psycho, but I don't see where he tried to poison Fd. The "holy water" and the magnesium pills weren't poisonous were they?
Well, I guess it has to be tested. BUT, if you know you have killed a person, you might get pretty paranoid about what somebody might want to do to YOU! I am curious what would possess FD to allow a stranger into the home. Was he that psychologically desperate? What phone number was this person using for FD? Was it publicly available such as a FORE number or from the SW. Was FD still using the number listed there? Did FD give him the number? Those are my questions.
ETA: FD phone number is still active! His voice is on the VM greeting!

Agreed. I do think Attorney Bowman was one of those types though. I was meaning more that maybe he was working with MT and Normie Jr. to remind KM where his loyalties should be in case he was thinking of talking...something like that.

to sell her wares at craft fairs, maybe?
Yes, good thought as if I recall she had someone take the dead animal rugs to Brimfield.

The saddest thing to me is that when it comes down to it, this entire case comes down to money. The Farber family's wealth that FD coveted and would kill to still get a piece of. The wealth necessary to bond out on multimillion dollar bonds. The greed of FD and MT. Defense attorneys looking for "that" client to make their names and line their pockets. Colangelo distracted by his next paycheck. The Farbers were more than generous with their son-in-law and he completely took advantage of them. FD and MT and their families' money to support them (and who knows how many other "benefactors"). The media milking it as usual. And on and on and on ... I'm sure there is much, much more to add to this list! MOO

Wouldn't be surprised. At all. Birds of a feather.

@Tink56,
Yes on 3 yrs. Agree with you.
Not sure about MA, could be skiing for her daughter or possibly school. I thought she was in school in VT but perhaps that has changed. IDK.
So she's only allowed to travel in Ct.?
Guess she'll be hitting up the Ct. Flea Market Circuit.

So, what happens now?
Will Colangelo call her out if he confirms that she indeed tried to contact FD?
Would love to know what Mr.Bowman feels about today's hearing.
The interpreter was a male.
Who was the woman walking with JS?

Would love to know what Mr.Bowman feels about today's hearing.
IMO absolute and total relief at dodging a bullet with this case! Good riddance to bad trash as well!

IMO these ongoing critiques of the US system of justice whilst interesting are largely irrelevant as it will be the system under which MT and KM are tried for the crimes they have been accused by the State of CT.

The US system is based on the system of 'innocent until proven guilty' and so this will be how MT will move forward in the CT system and her case will be heard by a jury 'of her peers'.

To ask that a judge 'test evidence' to determine whether, "Fd was guilty of a crime" is simply NOT the US system and I'm not sure any US judge would want this responsibility or power as this is the job of the jury to decide AFTER hearing all the evidence. Also, what person accused of a crime would want a Judge with this power either? There are bench trials in the US where the Judge decides but MT I believe will be tried by a jury.

'Ole Atty. P. and his infamous 'Court of Public Opinion' statements and how it was responsible for Fd taking his life. Fd was responsible for his own actions and how he spent his time and Fd for reasons of his own decided to gas himself to death. The public did not kill Fd. IMO the group of attorneys surrounding Fd did their client no favours with their strategy for the criminal case. Sadly Atty. P. doesn't want to take any responsibility for his strategic choices vis a vis the decision of his client to kill himself and so its simply easier for Atty. P. blame others. Its his choice to do so but it also IMO says a lot about Atty. P. and interpretation of 'duty of care' for his clients.

It is also clear after the fact that sadly Fd had no substantive professional psychological support to deal with the issues that he was having with his situation and certainly with house arrest conditions. The people closest to Fd were his legal team and on the day he killed himself they weren't looking for him it appears until 12:15pm (he was due in court at noon) and the team chose to not drive him to Court as seemed to have been their custom in the past. In short, the people that were responsible for making sure Fd was in Court for his appearance didn't get it right on the day he killed himself. Why? Had the money gone to provide such services or was their anger about the JFd memorial desecration and the disaster with the FAUX Bond? Or, was it all three?

Just tossing this idea out there as a possibility but I seriously question whether Fd ever said anything that was truthful to Atty. P. and Pattisville? We saw the 'alibi script' spouted endlessly by Atty. P. for months and when that AW dropped to explain the 'alibi scripts' to the world, IMO Atty. P. looked like a stooge and buffoon for not having checked and verified the Fd statements. We then saw in the Civil Trial that the Fd and MT affair actually happened a year prior to when was conventionally believed to have happened. Atty. P. LEARNED THIS FACT while sitting in Civil Court and his response was to bend over and put his head on the desk and cover it with his arms. Yes, it seemed like Fd lied about the duration of the affair to Atty. P. Did Fd also lie about FAUX bond package and the desecration of the Jfd memorial and who knows what else? But when AW3 with the murder charges dropped on Fd it seemed like a chill had set in with the folks of Pattisville and so I wonder how much time, effort and energy had been spent to create a narrative that was simply blown out of the water with information presented by the State? My guess it was substantial and devastating to the Defense. Pure speculation on my part but something changed IMO with AW3, Fd and Pattisville.

Most attys won't tolerate lying and yet it seems that Fd just might have been unable to speak or face much of the truth in his life. Sadly we will never hear from Fd because rather than waiting to tell his truth or put on his case he decided to kill himself.

Many defense attorneys tell their clients to stay off the internet and away from the Press. Doesn't sound like Fd got this advice. But the other issue I think that is present is that Atty. P. fed the Court of Public Opinion with a ferocity that hasn't been seen in CT ever and frankly IMO he did his client no favours. So, to see Atty. P. throwing stones at the public and holding them responsible for the death by suicide of Fd, then the only thing I can say is, "Shame On You Atty. P."

I am very surprised that if you are a member of a bar somewhere that this soundbite about the Court of Public Opinion hooked you! The Court of Public Opinion has been around since the idea of trials first took place. The folks here on WS have been busy for months searching out information from Court documents, MSM and other sources with the goal of trying to figure out what happened to JFd. No information has been forthcoming from any source to suggest any viable alternative theory for Fd/MT/KM. Atty. P. never presented one and you know he has spent most likely a huge amount of Fd's money trying to put it together. The only card Atty. P. had to play was to blame the victim in any number of ways and he did this relentlessly.

Will will just have to wait and see if MT new atty can do what Atty. P. was unable to do.

MOO

Irrelevant: yes. When in Rome...it is what it is, and all that. Of course, it’s always interesting to hear different viewpoints and exceptionally kind of a British attorney to spend this kind of time and effort here to share thoughts about the differences between the two countries’ legal systems. I learn so much here and meet such interesting people. MOO.
