No picnics allowed at Grace Farms (or at least not with outside food?), IIRC someone here looked it up and food has to be purchased there. JMO but it seems like Grace Farms was never really his plan, it was manipulation from the start. He showed up early on purpose and faked confusion about the meeting time then probably pretended that the extra half hour difference was what would have made it impossible to go there and finish dinner by six.

IMO the whole point was to create an artificial limitation that would put Jennifer in an uncomfortable position, not wanting to tell the kids that they couldn't celebrate one of their name days with their father.

It would follow that if he ‘didn’t realize’ Grace Farm closed early, that he could have packed picnic food and ‘didn’t realize’ there were no picnics allowed. And by then the kids wanted the picnic food, and their favourite items he’d brought along for them, not dinner in a restaurant.

I've been pondering NP's continued interest in all this. I certainly get that even the most heinous murderous criminals should be afforded a vigorous and indeed the best defense within our system in order for justice to be served. For me, it comes down to this question. Why does NP persist in carrying on the charade of defending his deceased client within the court of public opinion even after his client so abruptly decided to deny him the opportunity to defend him in actual court - the one that really matters?

I suspect that NP's real and limited skills lie in what we've witnessed on display in the media all along. In the event of having to actually go to trial, it would have become increasingly apparent that his woeful bag of tricks were never up to the task of getting an acquittal or anything close. Deep down, I think he knows that as well. So, he milks it for all it's worth. IMO

I'm with you on Fd figuring out that Atty. P. and Pattisville had a strategy that couldn't win. My sense is that Fd was smarter than many if not most of Atty. P.'s other clients and that Atty. P. underestimated Fd's ability to figure out so quickly that the only place Fd was going was to prison for most likely the rest of his life.

I also think the Fd experience in Family Court with the ineffective and frankly IMO useless Judge Heller gave him false confidence that the system could be gamed and that his confidence just continued to be boosted by the tricks and games he and KM played in the Civil Court with Judge Noble who IMO seemed very much over his head and unable (like Judge Heller IMO) to maintain any level of order in the Court and was unwilling to punish non compliance.

The Fd situation changed though IMO with Judge White. Judge White wouldn't be pushed around by Atty. P. like Judge Blawie and Judge White I believe was the first Judge Fd had ever run into in CT that set boundaries and imposed consequences. This had to have shocked Fd after seeing how Atty. P. could be so disrespectful to Judge Blawie in Court and also in his ongoing violation of the gag order that has never been enforced. Judge White was crystal clear about the Fd desecration of the JFd memorial and the accounts of Fd picking away at the purple DV ribbons on the memorial to remove them to me were chilling as it was clear that he was unwilling to acknowledge any part of DV in his relationship with JFd.

But, to your original point about people being unmasked my sense is that Fd lost his mask as did Atty. P.

I think Fd lost his mask when it was clear he committed fraud with Anna Curry/GV/ and Atty. P. PI to get the bail bond for AW3. Fd knew the game was up and he was heading back to prison. I will never forgot those early pictures of Fd in the orange jumpsuit and IMO he looked like he could have had a main role in the movie 'One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest' as he frankly just looked highly agitated and very disturbed. Now, hearing from his sister that he was in some kind of psych set up with no clothes (not sure this sounds credible but if they thought he would harm himself perhaps they did take away his clothes, IDK) and only a thin blanket. Clearly this experience made a lasting impression on Fd and he was unwilling to make a return appearance. IMO too back MT didn't have a similar experience to reframe her world view?!

Atty. P. lost his mask to Fd as it was clear Atty. P. couldn't keep Fd out of prison awaiting trial and also his ability to wiggle out of murder charges looked slim to none with the unveiling of AW3. Fd was also smart enough to see that the Atty. P. motions had little quality and little substance and that even the public was laughing AT the Atty. P. antics and Fd and I do think that this irritated Fd to no end as being thought of as being a 'joke' wasn't part of the facade. What is so interesting about watching Atty. P. is how little actual substance he and his team bring to the table IMO and what the State did so brilliantly IMO was simply letting their work and the evidence speak for itself. No about of Atty. P. Press BS and ongoing violations of the gag order could counter AW3 information and as I suspect Fd shared little in the way of factual/truthful info with Atty. P. , my guess is that Fd unravelled after AW3 because he saw with his own eyes what LE had and where the investigation was heading with MT and KM. Fd had no place to go and he knew his attorney had no tools or skills to help him and then IMO the despair set in.

I do think Atty Colangelo knows Atty. P. quite well and what I find so amusing about the process of watching the State deal with Atty. P. is that they really didn't have to engage with him at all as their work and the evidence spoke to itself. I guess its a bit like dealing with a bully who is also a coward and how sometimes just one solid encounter with strength is enough to bring them to their knees and back off. Atty. P. IMO showed himself to a bombastic bully but what really sunk him and his client IMO was that he was simply lacking in strategy, PR and basic legal skills.

It was odd watching Atty. P. in action attempting to defend Fd as it really seemed to be all about him all the time and I think that Fd being a classic narcopath saw right through Atty. P. at a certain point and realised he simply didn't have the legal chops and game to create reasonable doubt in the mind of a jury. Pure speculation on my part as I've been grappling like most folks here to understand what could have been happening behind the scenes with Pattisville to result in Fd gassing himself to death.

But, a big tip off IMO as to the then current status of the relationship between Fd and Pattisville was the simple fact that Atty Smith himself said in a very matter of fact way when he spoke outside the Courthouse in Stamford that he raised the alert about Fd not being present at 12:15pm. Atty Smith wasn't looking for his client and didn't even seem to know that he didn't leave 4Jx on time such that he would be in Court on time. Nope, it just seemed like another Court appearance for Atty Smith and if his client didn't show up it was zero skin off his back. I don't think I've seen such a level of sheer disinterest in the status of another human being as was demonstrated by Atty Smith outside Stamford Courthouse on the day Fd gassed himself. I keep going back to that interview with Atty Smith and I wonder if Fd even bothered to call Atty Smith or Atty. P.? Would very much love to see those call logs as my suspicion is that neither Atty Smith nor Atty. P. did anything that morning to check on Fd.

Still thinking about what might have been in Fd's head on the day he decided to commit suicide. My guess is that it had everything to do with money and returning to prison but also the fact that he had no confidence in his legal representation and their ability to keep him out of jail and eventually prison. It looked like it was just the end the road on all fronts for Fd.

IDK, the Fd world had to be bleak and absolutely lacking hope and I believe that Fd put the blame for this solely on Atty. P. and Pattisville as we know that Fd could never take responsibility for anything himself!

Did my post offend you? If so I’m not sure why?I clearly stated that fd was inflicting his own pain.obiviously meaning that jd was doing what she was doing for good reason.Driving someone crazy for good reason or bad reason is still driving them crazy!
How do I know fd was going broke you ask?
Aw3 states that as a motive ,his spec house was about to get foreclosed on,he hadn’t filed tax returns in 2 years.he stopped making payments on 4jx.he owed back taxes on homes in Farmington and nc.More recently the probate attorney said fd had very little in liquid assets.
You speak of all this money that fd has hidden away, where is the proof of that?
Your absolutely right that fd was product of Farber wealth, without it he would of never been or appeared so successful. But when he got a girlfriend and started telling jd how it was going to work.she did the absolute right thing and turned that Farber money against him.Ran that *** Fd right into the ground. He wouldn’t stop living the life style of a wealthy man continuing to spend money on ski trips and vacations around the world. He didn’t like that the gravy train was ending it was the whole mess he made including the divorce was driving him crazy so he crossed the line and began premeditating a murder.

Sorry for the tone. My neck hairs tingle whenever abuse is portrayed as a back and forth.

It is foolish to pretend that Fotis was not playing illegal games with money. For that, there is evidence. How much money was played with and where it went can only be guessed at- such as by estimating the cost of his lifestyle. However, there could have been less guessing and more facts if Fotis complied with filings for courts and for taxes.

It is probable, but not proven, that there are or were hidden assets we don't know about. The publicly known information comes close to confirming it. If someone like Rena were paying Pattis with her own funds, there would be no reason to hide that. It would bolster claims of poverty, and portray him to the judge as someone his sister finds credible enough to cough up her own money for. The only person that it would be harmful to reveal was paying for Pattis would be Fotis himself. Fotis refused to reveal the source of funds. That does not prove but certainly suggests that the funds were Fotis'- and since he claimed poverty, it suggests fraud.

I need to watch my tone at times, but I stand by my two assertions. It was one way abuse, not "driving each other crazy," and Fotis has fraudulently hidden away money although the amount, whom it was stolen from, and how much has been spent is not known.

So sad that in the end for some of these people, it's all about "stuff". In some regard, I'd posit that MT resents her attorney's statement referring to her as a "bit player" IMO. Her glory days with FD are fading memories, all in the rear-view mirrors of the many vehicles (I can't keep up to count 'em) it took for the both of them to carry out their horrific crimes.

IMO we cannot be fooled by any comments by Atty S that would suggest anything other than the narrative that has been meticulously crafted with compelling IMO evidence by the State for MT in AW1-3.

'Someho' IMO a charge for "Conspiracy to Commit Murder" shouldn't be in the same UNIVERSE as 'bit player'.

NOPE, MT IMO based on AW1-3 was NOTHING BUT A MAJOR PLAYER and Atty S. perhaps should spend more time reviewing the discovery packages rather than making highly misleading statements to characterise the MT involvement in the MURDER OF JFd.

The truck is freaking old. 2001. Who would do an approximate 3 hours round trip commute in that 5 days a week? IMO.
Agree. The Southbound commute to NC in the am would be bumper to bumper and ditto for the return trip. We also don't know if the truck had A/C or working heat. EE most likely doesn't get paid if he doesn't book the hours so if he was on the side of the road waiting for road service then he wouldn't get paid and Fd wouldn't get Sturbridge completed. It made all the sense in the world to make sure EE had reliable transportation IMO.

I do appreciate where you're coming from. It's so easy for conversations to drift into what may seem - "bothsidesism" or false equivalence (I firmly believe that no posts here came anywhere close to crossing that line!). However clarification is always appreciated. JD was abused and ultimately murdered IMO by her sociopathic ex. She did all she could and used all resources at her disposal in order to extricate herself from his grasp. That should always and forever be applauded, commended and ultimately admired. Hindsight being 20/20, only the hiring some form of professional protection may have been the only action that would have prevented her killing.

I'm sorry, but abuse is abuse and it IMO was quite clear that Fd was a master of subtle and not so subtle abuse which he inflicted on JFd over the years and no doubt the rest of his family. The psychological impact of this abuse was no doubt real and painful and my guess is that at the time JFd got it together to leave 4Jx with the 5 children she was literally on her last nerve and hanging on to sanity IMO.

JFd left 4Jx and Fd with her 5 children to escape ongoing DV tactics and ongoing abuse from Fd. JFd spoke many times in the Family Court file about how Fd spoke to and treated not only her but the children.

To characterise the behaviour of the victim here, JFd, as somehow 'driving them crazy - I guess you mean referring to Fd' is something that I don't think we have any evidence in the Family Court file to support. Further, IMO to suggest the idea of, "jd was doing what she was doing for good reason" simply seems to be to be thinly veiled victim shaming IMO. As a victim of DV, JFd was subject to ongoing abuse by Fd for years at a time. It was clear that JFd cared deeply about her children and her primary focus was to make sure that her children thrived. She knew that this couldn't happen at 4Jx with Fd and then MT and her daughter showed up on the scene and the drama amped up as did the psychological torment inflicted by Fd.

IMO the victim shaming from Rena Dulos and the Greek Family as seen in the translated clips from her recent phone interview about JFd were unacceptable and frankly not much different from the idea that somehow JFd was responsible for the fact that by leaving and seeking a divorce and fighting hard for custody that this was driving Fd 'crazy'. Fd as an adult had a choice to make on how to process the divorce and everything that this process involves. Fd is responsible for his own behaviour and IMO a big part of the problem with everything that happened in Family Court and frankly beyond that into Civil Court related to the fact that Fd never took responsibility for any behaviour, any feeling or anything in his life.

So, to see the victim here blamed somehow for something involving a situation where Fd chose to not act in a responsible way for his choices and decisions is something I simply cannot accept. No victim deserves abuse and no victim deserves to be murdered because their partner can't figure out a way forward or take responsibility for their own life.

Just want to point out that FDs last instructions to his lawyers was not his suicide note.
Not sure we have any information on this issue. To what are you referring here? Atty. P. has released no info about the 'last wishes' of his client. We have no idea either if Fd might have recorded something on his phone as some kind of dying declaration etc.

Trying to figure out what you could possibly be referring to here?

FD sure sounded like he was accepting a friendship with him in these.
Wonder how much BR sold the texts for since he is thirsty for fame

Well I can say for a fact that.... when divorcing a narcissist/psychopath etc, it’s impossible to avoid a lengthy divorce unless you are willing to just completely walk away and give them EVERYTHING.

I never implied that jd was doing anything wrong. But from what I see here, from my own experience and others. Its normal to drive each other crazy while going thru a divorce. We pretty much had a uncontested divorce ,3 young children get along great to this day 25 years 3 grandchildren later. But at the time of the divorce we drove each other crazy.

Matt told me they didn't pay him for the texts and they got it from the police file. Well, BR is certainly getting paid for the interviews.
