Several of you have reached out about pictures Michelle Troconis posted on social media with family in Florida. Attorney Jon Schoenhorn confirmed she is there and said the trip was okayed by Judge Blawie shortly after the last hearing because Troconis’ father had been in the ICU with COVID-19 and was recently been released.

Thanks for posting sds71. I saw some odd twitter posting, too. She left after the last hearing and she's still there now??? I guess she should return for the October 1 hearing....or it could be very virtual.

Wonder if her daughter is going to "escape" from Argentina while she can? There are a few direct flights from Buenos Aires to Miami each week. The travel restrictions within Argentina are strict also. However, this could be an opportunity for MT's daughter to return to her newly freed mother, but I would hope her father or someone else might accompany her on the trip.

Here's some of the rules (Scroll down to read departure rules if interested):

It has been so long I do not remember if MT has dual citizenship?

What other countries could MT possibly fly to, if not commercially, in a private jet?

Also. I do not approve of the Judge letting her go to Florida to see relatives, even because her father who had Covid. I know some children who will NEVER see their mom again because of MT. JMOO. (Sorry I shouted “never” but this is so wrong).

Blawie didn't issue an order on it--that the public could view? And we only know about MT's leaving the state b/c a reporter asked MT's counsel about it after members of the public brought MT's postings to her attention? Did Colangelo know MT had left the state? I find this very disturbing, though not surprising, given CT Judicial's reputation for secrecy. First Amendment: public access to the courts.

And Blawie didn't say anything in his recently published orders about her having been given permission by the court to go to Fla and why and for how long she was allowed to stay?

It was on page 8 and Colangelo wasn’t consulted.
It doesn’t mention how long she can stay but the next court date is virtual.

Thanks v. much for this. When "the court" rules on something, it should be filed on the record. Otherwise it's just a judge doing something behind the scenes ex parte. MOO Colangelo wasn't consulted? Wow.

When Michi was allowed to meet/pickup her daughter in NYC at the airport, Colangelo was part of the arrangement. (I can't remember the date. Was it December 2019?) If Colangelo was left out of the arrangement this time, I would say that Schoenhorn's antics at the last trial had an effect. (IMO, it was mostly posturing and showboating, but the judge may have viewed it differently.)

I would like to know what is happening with the duel sanctions, too.

The judge needs to remember that those 5 children, the mother, were also not allowed to be with JFD before she vanished from their lives in something far less comprehensible than Covid. So....let's see if Michi moves to Miami???

And under Hug’s plan, even that heavily discounted settlement amount he gets from Pattis won’t all go to the Farber estate, but will be divided among all the creditors, possibly even Hug himself for his fees. I don’t know why “collateral estoppel” wouldn’t apply here, since a court already rendered a judgment for Farber estate (Cesar Noble?) in a prior court proceeding—which IMO should prevail over the probate judge’s ruling. (Any lawyers out there with comment?) Then there’s Judge Sheridan, who’s called a hearing for 10/6 on Weinstein’s complaint against Pattis (and possibly Hug’s if their cases are consolidated), and has asked that the parties be prepared to engage in settlement discussion. Weinstein’s complaint—to my understanding—contains a clause that he can go after NP’s assets directly, by-passing the probate court to meet Farber’s financial demand. Also, it asks for an accounting from NP on how the money he got from Dulos was spent. Since under the First Amendment we, the public, have access to the courts, we should get to know all of that. IMO Hug is trying to protect NP in his secret negotiations with him—much as Judge Noble protected NP from having to discuss how he was being paid by FD.

I sincerely hope that Attorney Weinstein prevails and gets an accounting of how the $250,000 payment was spent.

NP said that FD's death was "personal." He, IMO, should have taken care of his personal desires related to $250K personally, not with GF's money. (Which was probably the origination of whatever investment from which FD found the funds.)

Seems as if there is a good old boys' network at work in the Hartford courts.

One of Hug’s arguments is that he’s trying to preserve the assets of the estate, and litigation against Pattis would be costly. But in settling with Pattis for a sum that’s over $100k less than the figure Hug himself showed to be owing FD’s estate, he’s essentially giving NP a gift for over $100k—and IMO that’s the way the IRS may look at it. Presumably Hug knows that as administrator he personally will be responsible for paying any taxes assessed, including gift tax—and the rate is substantial for that size gift. CT Probate rules say state & IRS taxes have priority, before other creditors.

Is NP a 503C charity?

Just a little transparency from Hug would be nice.

Hey @Tink!

Blawie referenced the duel sanctions on page 3 (see attached). Disappointing, as in this case I felt Colangelo had a very valid point in regard to Schoenhorn releasing confidential evidence to the press without permission from the State. I believe Colangelo commented on the released evidence being 'piece meal' and not showing the full scope of what was released, just can't remember if it was an interview, in court, or in print. Anyone remember?

Not sure I even understood the grounds Shoenhorn could even ask for sanctions on. Marbles in his mouth comes to mind, so maybe I just didn't hear what he was saying...
MOO

Oh yeah-could she move? I mean she would need the permission of the court, but she is no longer under house arrest. Can they compel her to return to CT to hang around waiting for court dates? I mean, I know she wants to take field trips with her lawyer so they can round up witnesses to something that she didn’t do, but they can make an appointment to meet up. And she can jet in to go to her court dates. Nobody is going to check on her to see if she comes back from Miami, are they? She doesn’t have those pesky parole officer issues anymore, either, right?

All of this really bothers me.
She is charged with accessory to murder.
Not a DUI.Not a drug charge.Murder.
IMO, Colangelo has to come down hard and harder.
Where is Judge White?
He wastes no time and takes no prisoners.

Thanks Morgan...That's what I get for skimming and scanning.

Although, according to one of Attorney S's and MT's buddies who posted on Marissa Alter's Facebook, Jon was trying to figure out a way to get the video tapes before the public back in July.

The act was very deliberate on Schoenhorn's part.

I 1000% agree! BBM

AS did NOT like being called out on his BS in front of the judge so he acted like a child in the middle of a tantrum IMO. MOO. Still not sure of AS's grounds for requesting sanctions though. Any idea?

So.....how long has, is, will be, MT in Florida?

Does anyone know?

I hope a higher Judge, is looking into this new freedom?

just a matter of time and MT will flea...oh I mean flee.

I feel like this was some kind of back room deal with Judge Blawie, but maybe it’s just because it torques me off...I get the feeling that MT was already in Miami when the decision was announced publicly, so that’s why I say it was a back room deal, without Colangelo’s input. I am not sure why Judge Blawie would allow it (the trip to Miami), given the current situation with COVID, and travelling out of state, and quarantining; doesn’t she have a court date coming up next week? I am betting that court date doesn’t happen, though. Just a hunch.

I agree, the court date will not happen. Some lame excuse.

IMO MT is still in Florida....I am waiting to hear she has left the US. I keep thinking, but I am not savvy on travel....if she can get on a private jet, land in a country close to Argentina and then make her way across the border by car, bus, walk or sneak her way in...once she is there, I bet we never see her again. Of course he parents would go with. Wherever she lands up in Argentina the people can be bought off to hide her.

then I want to see an investigation into a lawyer and judge....for sure...I hope they don’t think she will keep her word, that they would trust her.
JMOO and thoughts only.

And here's a reminder for Blawie from the Code of Judicial Conduct:

Rule 2.9. Ex Parte Communications (a) A judge shall not initiate, permit, or consider ex parte communications or consider other communications made to the judge outside the presence of the parties or their lawyers, concerning a pending or impending matter, except as follows...
