I’m looking at this three ways:
1.Considering the source:
2.Creating a sound bite:
3.Skewing the info to fit JS’s new angle
1. Consider the source: These summations and “quotes” are from FDs attorneys. (From the article)
“Fotis Dulos has undergone two psychological evaluations since his wife filed for divorce in 2017 and has been deemed a “gregarious and confident person” with no psychopathic tendencies, according to the latest in a series of motions filed in the heated custody dispute.”
We have to remember these motions were filed by RR when he was petitioning the court concerning GF or FD taking custody of the children. He was painting the best picture of FD he could. We have all seen NP spew all kinds of theories and “facts” into the air, “gone girl”, MT is FDs alibi til she’s the “lying lover”, the JFDs clothes were found in a pile in the back of 4JX... I’m not saying RR is “lying”, but he is cherry-picking individual words out of a evaluation. If you read the portion of the article I quoted next, notice it’s alway “according to RRs motion” or “RR said”...
2 Creating the sound bite:
RR was cherry-picking those words to create the thought he wanted to float in the public, that FD had ‘passed’ his psych eval. , that he was “gregarious and confident”-just all around a great guy, right? RR chose these 2 words out of how long of a report? Notice ‘no psychopathic tendencies’ was not quoted from the report. So RR read the report, and made that summation himself IMO. He did this from a evaluation written by Herman who did not meet the requirements to have it legally entered as complete into the court record. As far as I know, RR is certainly not qualified to interpret and come to that conclusion. Herman was qualified , and he chose not to finish the process, and make his written report a part of the court ordered custody evaluation.
A little later in the same article it says:
“According to Rochlin’s motion, Fotis Dulos has met with Dr. Stephen Herman, a court-appointed psychiatrist with an office in New York City, 14 times in the past two years. Rochlin said Herman’s evaluations determined Fotis Dulos showed no elevations of several mental health concerns, including mania and paranoia.
Herman’s findings have been summarized in a sealed report dated April 24, according to Rochlin’s motion. Fotis Dulos’ attorneys have indicated in court that the report is favorable to their client.
Rochlin said Fotis Dulos has also met with Dr. Stephen Humphrey, a court-appointed Hartford psychiatrist, 20 times in the last two years.
According to Rochlin’s motion, Humphrey said Fotis Dulos displayed none of the 11 factors in diagnosing a patient as a psychopath, including no signs of being paranoid, antisocial, depressed or schizophrenic.”
I have all kinds of problems with this. First of all no one publicly has seen Humphreys notes. Wasnt Humphrey under HIPAA rules on FD then, and still? Maybe FD let his attorneys talk to his dr about him, but as far as I know Humphrey has not been on the stand testifying about FD-right? This is NOT part of the court record about custody. In fact why was FD seeing this guy? Was it court ordered? Was therapy required? Did he seek out Humphrey on his own, on the advice of his atty??? Hmmmmm
So according to RR, Humphrey didn’t check any of the boxes needed to draw the conclusion that FD was a psychopath.
Why is RR even talking about Humphrey’s? Would ANYONE, ANYONE ELSE be able to question his findings, in court or anywhere else? (Why does this statement remind me of that letter from the Greek waterskiing official?)
A few logic questions I have for Humphrey:
Are all psychopaths perpetrators of DV?
Are all perpetrators of DV or coercive control evaluated as psychopaths?
Are all men who murder their wives psychopaths?
This brings me to my final blathering
3: Skewing the info to fit JS’s new angle
I think JS could do this a couple of ways. I look at JS as a progressive player with lots up his sleeve. IMO he has a rough game plan, but it’s more of a flow chart, kind of a meandering, ‘if this happens, then I’ll do this.’ There is no committing to one solid route, he is ready to take a detour at any moment, any hiccup.
I think this is why the holier-than-thou Troconis clan like JS. He knows the truth, but he is willing to throw any possible life preserver into the eddy to see if MT can gain some traction, before she is pulled down the drain. AB on the other hand I think was a marching straight arrow. He knew the truth, but his tactic was, ‘ let them prove it’. How many times did we hear about the presumption of innocence from him; in fact was it the only thing? IMO AB wasn’t going to go along with this type of game play, but JS was and I think this psych report brouhaha proves it. ( as well as the thousands of motions, the constant take the gps off, etcetera, etcetera...)
I said in my original post ‘ I know it’s been surmised that a favorable evaluation was concluded for FD, however, there may have been some opinions reflective of his “coercive control” ‘
I believe JS, the progressive player, could attempt do this a couple of ways. With the passing of new law concerning coercive control, I think it’s been pretty well established that JFD was a victim of DV. I think we can safely make the assumption that this custody evaluation may indicate that JFD was exhibiting signs and symptoms of the domestic violence. This would be the part of the evaluation that would reflect on FD.
IMO JS will try to use this to help MT, (if and only if, ALL of his attempts to avoid a trial, or his attempts to present MT as an innocent bystander, fail.). IMO if JS senses MT is looking guilty to the jury, he will try to mitigate the damages, by presenting MT as also a victim of DV. As stomach churning sickening as this is, I see JS as heading to this defense. His quest for the almighty psych evaluation has been relentless, and he must see it as extremely valuable. I think showing what FD did to JFD is a tremendous part of that value.
I also think JS sees value in the facts of what is missing. If Herman did indeed reach the conclusion that FD had ‘no psychopathic tendencies’, how will the progressive player use that? Will he claim that FD was also able to hide his true mental health issues from the court appointed psychiatrist? And the one he might have going to for therapy? The same mental health issues he hid from MT? We heard a drop of this theory during the 48 Hr special... how FD lied to MT about the state of his marriage, how he tricked her. Do non-psychopaths plan a precisely timed, violent murder of their wives and manage to dispose of her body so neatly, that she completely disappears? Do non-psychopaths manage to charm the pants off their sophisticated wealthy father-in-laws and take millions of dollars on a hand shake? Who knows, but I’ll bet JS has a bunch of experts lined up.
A bunch of experts who will attempt to show that JD was suffering at the hands of FD, that the court ordered psychiatrist was hood winked and ‘controlled’ by him and that MT was a victim too. MOO. Just my two cents on why JS wanted that report.
