Still Missing CT - Jennifer Dulos, 50, New Canaan, 24 May 2019 *ARRESTS* #54

I recall Feds called in to assist CT on the first day when JD was a no-show at her NY appointments.

To my knowledge, there was no indictment by a federal grand jury which only hears federal crimes. Again, I think this is AJS stirring the pot with a broken spoon. MOO

Probable Cause:

The finding necessary in order to return an indictment against the person being investigated by the government of a federal crime. A finding of probable cause is proper only when the evidence presented to the grand jury, without any explanation being offered by the person being investigated, persuades 12 or more grand jurors that a federal crime has probably been committed by that person.

IMO....JS will keep stirring the pot....even when it's empty.

Domestic violence

Another change involves an expansion of the domestic violence law that was prompted by the high-profile case of Jennifer Farber Dulos, a 50-year-old New Canaan woman who went missing in May 2019 after dropping her children off at school. Her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, was arrested and charged with murder in the case and later died by suicide in January 2020.

The law will now include nonviolent acts like financial and psychological abuse, which advocates said will help judges to rule in cases where they have not seen any physical violence.

Sen. Alex Kasser, a Greenwich Democrat who spearheaded the bill before resigning from the Senate earlier this year, said at the time that more women are treated in hospital emergency rooms for domestic violence injuries than for “muggings, rapes and car accidents” combined. Domestic violence, she said, is the leading cause of death for pregnant women in Connecticut and is “much more than black eyes and bruises.’'

The new law details the concept of nonviolent abuse or “coercive control,” saying that it includes “isolating the household or family member from friends, relatives, or other support,” as well as “depriving the household or family member of basic necessities,” according to a legislative analysis.

The control includes “regulating, or monitoring the household or family member’s movements, communications, daily behavior, finances, economic resources, or access to services.”

The control also includes “committing or threatening to commit cruelty to animals that intimidates the applicant.”

These new Connecticut laws take effect on Oct. 1

I’ve finally learned to find this discussion under watched threads! Now I won’t miss anything again, I hope!!!

Ah, JS and his self-promotion:

Troconis' Lawyer Says Grand Jury Looked Into Jennifer Dulos Case

Ugh. MOO.

Interesting. I think he is going to have a lot of problem proving she needed an interpreter and did not understand the English language with the work she was doing for FD and at other American jobs she has had, places she has gone. I am sure there are many witnesses that can testify she has. Very good working knowledge of the English language.

IMO, he knew all along about the grand jury. Just making a stink about it now to bring sympathy for his client. no sympathy at all here

Suppose JS gets the fed grand jury docs and they have something incriminating about MT? Feds can look into any murder that is premeditated."Lying in wait" can be enough. If they looked into any collaboration FD had with MT and/or KM to plan kidnapping/murder of JFD--couldn't his efforts to obtain grand jury info backfire?

With all the financial shenanigans with FD and cohorts and MT's "close" work with FD's company, I bet there are lots of questions the grand jury could have investigated.

I wonder if this means that JS is finally doing his job and looking into those boxes of evidence the State's Attorney's office sent him LAST YEAR! I won't hold my breath.

Unlike the state's atty, the feds have power of subpoena. So I wondered if feds might've subpoenaed docs or witness statements from MT's said visit to NY probate court to look into the Farber trust file (didn't that come up thru' deposition in civil case?)

A professional linguist would be able to tell. It’s like forensic psychologists; they have tests to indicate when someone is faking a mental issue or malingering. MOO.

I agree on the many possible avenues for a grand jury to investigate. In MOO, he’s naive to think he’s the first one to know this. Maybe MT’s family is putting the pressure on him to come up with something more. The problem in MOO is that he should have realized what Bowman did: trying to defend MT is a losing proposition. MOO.

Any number of the strange money "loans" and financial oddities could have been used with a Federal Grand Jury. Considering the number of out-of-state loans FD was using, as well as his international trips, I would not be surprised if CT LE did not turn to a Federal Court to glean more information.

In the questions that MT did not answer were about the trip to NY to check on the Farber trust, carrying cash to Greece, and her role in FD's office.

I think there were also questions about the $70K she supplied for the West Haven property in the slippery bank loan to one of the other FD cohorts.

Adding link to Stamford Advocate article about questions she did not answer:
Dulos Case: Michelle Troconis is not required to answer these questions

And, as a reminder, this is part of the evidence Schoenhorn wants thrown out. The picture was originally released by Dave Altamari and posted on WS by @sds71 . This was at the beginning of Schoenhorn's entrance into the case. Can't imagine that Altimari is also friend's with Schoenhorn...really?

If you look closely you can see the storm drain opening right below MT leaning out of the truck. In this version of the photo she appears to be picking up something on the ground. The door and MT block the car's view that is exiting the parking lot. In the video later released by Schoenhorn, FD walks toward MT and shuts the door as he bends over by the drain opening. Of course, NOW, MT claims she had no idea that she was assisting him in disposing of evidence. Double really?;)

Iirc she was wiping gum off her fingers. Hahahahaha as opposed to wiping it off on any of the paper products FD was throwing away -at multiple trash containers -including this one!
In fact, didn’t JS offer that explanation?

This photo has long been burned into my mind. Of course she knew. MOO.

I think so. What a good idea to scrape gum off one’s hand on a sidewalk. Sure. Very weird—and very nice of anyone to put gum down where another person might step on it. MOO.
