Detective Reilly, back on the stand.

Talking about testing the paper towels and faucet, but slow going because JS keeps objecting.
Does JS not realize how the continuous objection stalling will likely frustrate the jury, and not in a way that benefits his client?

I smell pressure from MT, Mama, and some members of fam to approach in this way, based on the inappropriateness and relentlessness of their social media/“press conference” approach.

Pray that it backfires spectacularly. MOO

Oh my goodness… hair

ETA: Reilly is a humble, sincere, very convincing witness, IMO

Found a loose hair in the garage.

Yes! Reilly did swab the access panel!!!

These “objections” are ridiculous-seems totally designed to upset the flow of the investigator’s testimony. So far, all objections overruled.

Now we're seeing bloodlike stains on JFd's Suburban. On the back bumper.

We're back in the garage. Looking at maps of the grid pattern developed to process the garage.

Reilly comes across as relaxed, knowledgeable, methodical, believable.

We're seeing a bloodlike mark on the floor that Reilly believed to show evidence of attempted cleaning.

[Seeing these smears is sobering.]

One exhibit is a dried paper towel.

Did not test it but seized it in its entirety.

  • #849
Those long narrow blood stains look like blood was on something long and narrow that "whipped" onto the floor. The zip ties? A cord?

  • #850
Several exhibits of paper towel fragments. Larger ones had visual evidence of a bloodlike substance.

Tested stains, many tested positive (presumptive).

[Appears to me that there were blood(like) stains on BOTH sides of where her Suburban would have been parked.]

Recording system just went down.

Testimony halted abruptly. Jury dismissed.

Morning break.

Did someone put a muzzle on JS ? He was actually silent for 10-15 minutes, and let the state do an actual presentation !!

  • #853
I believe it was the court reporting that malfunction.

Court will resume at 11:30

Sort of. He has a standing objection that's already overruled.

I thought I heard JS say after his last objection - after the judge told him his same objection had already been overruled - that he wanted to go on record as issuing a blanket objection so he was not continually interrrupting - or something to that effect.
I am in my office working and listening though so I may not be 100%. Either way it was nice to have his silence.

On another note I am very glad they took the gargabe bags - they are traceable and may be significant in the case

We're back live.

[No one taught MT to cough into her elbow.

Happy not to shake her hand.]

Another pattern in blood that looks like the edge of the toe area of a shoe print. This one has only the "braided" area around the edge of the shoe and not the lines under the ball of the foot like the large shoeprint near the garbage cans.

  • #858
Looking at shoe prints on the garage floor. In bloodlike stains.

It's hard to see in the photos but Reilly is describing them with some detail.

A bloodstain in three long swipes that looks like a smear from 3 fingers of a gloved hand.

Looking at a handprint now. He identifies three fingers of what looks like an imprint from a textured glove.
