JS is again talking about pools and hair bleaching.

I hope this doesn't go on all day.

Judge Randolph looking like this is testing his patience... this long drawn out attempt to bring out of this witness testimony that the tests presumptive for blood may also be indicating the presence of some substances other than blood - something this witness has already said under direct.

Is JAS testifying?

  • #905
Turnips jeesh lol

  • #906
This is painful.

I wonder if this defense attorney realizes how ridiculous he sounds right now

A bloody garage, with spatter, patterns, transfer, etc. on floor, doorknob, underside and sides of vehicles.

But the area testing presumptive for blood in the back of the Suburban is because of horseradish, errant injured mice, or discarded ice skates with metal blades?

Must all context be abandoned in considering the testimony JAS is attempting to elicit? (Instead of presenting his own expert witness.)

“The jury isn’t stupid, Jon!”

Yikes, he testified earlier that the paper towel was not on the holder, now unsure.

JS is listing all the things that might also test positive with presumptive testing.

He's asking if he wanted to test a stain to presume it was horseradish, it would be the test for that.

It would be the presumptive test for hamburger, cat blood, mouse blood.

Now JS is accusing Reilly of not testing all the spots.

Now he's asking about the "little purple glow".

Reilly corrects him to blue.

JS is now suggesting that steel vehicles might test positive, for rust. Turnips... root vegetable.... have iron.

"If you wanted to see if you lost a turnip in the back seat of a car, you could test...."

State objects. Judge overruled.

Reilly says, I think you'd SEE a turnip.

Bleach. Don't know.

Rust. Yes.

Ice skates in the backseat.

State objects.

Judge says these are extensions of the hypothetical items (which might test positive) but it's getting very thin. He allows.

Now he's talking about the crime scene measuring tape. Back to centimeters and millimeters vs inches.

Reilly indicates there are both measuring systems, one on each side.

Now we're looking at the paper towel on the kitchen counter.

Reilly is describing how it was, he testifies he moved it before it was photographed. He can't recall for certain whether it was on the holder or not.

I'm waiting for an objection from the State...some good opportunities have come and gone imo....maybe they are just letting him string the noose and simply hang himself? Oh my, it continues.

I think he testified that he does not remember seeing anyone remove it from the holder.

He's insulting.

I have to re-watch prior testimony from day 2. Thanks.

[JFd's pantry -- so many jugs of juice, boxes of cereal, frozen in time. She was being a mom. Why why why did he have to destroy that?]

Photo of the kitchen paper towels on the holder.

Once again testified that he doesn't remember if he ever saw the paper towel roll on the dispenser (as shown in the video taken on body cam of officer moving thorough the home while searching for missing person JFD at 5:57 pm on 5/24).

Remember: Photos taken subsequently, after this officer arrived to process the scene after 10 pm, shows the roll OFF the paper towel holder, and sitting beside it. Also shows smudge inside the cardboard tube inside the roll with what looks like a bloodlike smudge inside.
