Do we have a time for that?
No, I don't think we have seen one yet from the State. I do wonder if they got the receipt and possible footage from HD directly as this process has been used successfully in other cases and its always amazing that criminals think by using cash that they won't be caught on camera! This HD issue was discussed in last thread the other day but I don't recall if a timestamp was provided. We also haven't heard about the black bags and whether they were a match for anything on site at Sturbridge, Fore Group, 4JX etc. Such a long way to go to tie this all up.

Not to be morbid amidst the morbid case that's been presented thus far, but what are the opinions on the blood patterns/spatter on scene? What was the weapon (as yet to ever be found that we know of).
Tough one but if I had to guess I would guess blunt object found in garage AND FD knife (he was obsessed with knives by all accounts). If JD scooted under the Range Rover as suspected then he might have grabbed something to hit her from the side to get her out from under the vehicle (so, could be broom, shovel or rake too but my guess is some implement that was in the garage that had length to reach under the vehicle including even a lacrosse stick with the knife used after he had proximity to the Victim). Pure speculation as I don't think we know yet as ME hasn't yet testified.

New Canaan is affluent enough that there must be ring cameras and surveillance all over, not to mention the bus cams we already have. I'm just so curious (as are we all) of where they could've gone secluded enough that no one saw a body being moved between vehicles.
Plenty of wooded neighborhoods with 2-4 acre zoning and houses set back from the road with long driveways. Definitely possible if they were quick enough and kept an ear out for approaching traffic.

He may have legal vulnerabilities related to working for FD.

This is the reason PG needs immunity (MOO):

“Gumienny added that Fotis told him not to talk to the police at one point because it might endanger his immigration status, the papers say.”

“Gumienny explained Dulos told him he would get in trouble if he talked to police because Gumienny only had a ‘Green Card’—a Permanent Resident Card,” Kimball said in the arrest warrant application.“

Recall that on cross of LA (nanny) JS harped on the Fore employees and if PG was already working for Fore and how many years PG had worked and what kind of work he did. I knew it was a setup for later trying to diss PG relative to employment status etc. MOO

And defense asked for a 10:15 start for tomorrow, which was granted. I wonder why they begin at 10:00 a.m. everyday (vs. 9:00 a.m.)? Hmmm...
My guess is because JS and Troconis Crew might be commuting down from Hartford area which imo has to be hella stressful given the traffic patterns. Its a problem imo because the late start is killing the schedule. I'm surprised the Judge allowed it but then many things seem to be surprising me lately..... What might have helped is to tack an extra hr on at end of day to balance out the late start. Rush starts early going north so Js and Troconis crew are now sitting in traffic in both directions each day which is rough. No wonder they all look so tired! They could be using train possibly as well to avoid the traffic but that has issues coming from Hartford as well depending on where they are relative to train stations. Nutmeg State has horrific public transport and an inaccessible Capitol location from the South imo so no easy way to get from Hartford to lower State except by car or helicopter!

Troconis is staying in Stamford:
“On Saturday, Troconis was spotted leaving her rental home in Stamford and dropping off one of her relatives – previously seen giving a press conference outside court before her trial began on Thursday – at Newark Airport.”

Thanks! Hadn't read that but I do wonder why they look so tired and JS appears positively haggard. Do we know if he is commuting from Hartford?

Nope, unless pace changes it will be well in April/June imo. We don't know if Defence will offer experts which would delay things potentially as well. Wonder if they had the budget for experts and other third parties. We will see. Timing is problematic as jurors will start getting antsy and potentially angry imo about delays imposed over inconsequential matters. IDK why Court doesn't start earlier or go later but perhaps childcare and family issues are at hand. But, 4 hrs of testimony isn't much given all that has to be presented.

We have never heard from JF private investigator other than in Family Court. I have to admit to being quite curious!
Buckle up!
Speaking of a PI, if only there had been cameras at Welles....

Still, we've got a long way to go....

DOT CCTV, Home Depot CCTV... maybe Hone Depot is the new Walmart because there's always a Walmart.

Plus the Defense has no way to get around FD's DNA in JFd's kitchen, MT's DNA on the trash bags that contain JFd's blood....

Lying is tiring. And stressful.

I'm more than a bit stunned (have been from the beginning) on the security camera issue at Welles (it appears there was a system but its not clear to me there are cameras although there might have been one by the garage if I recall from the early pictures), given the state of FD temper and the mounting pressure on both parties personal finances at the time of the murder. Frankly I wish the State had addressed the security system with LA but we also heard LA say the garage mudroom door was typically unlocked. I'm chalking it up to being a single mother with 5 young children and simply trying to get through the day. But, I cannot reconcile it all with the extreme fear that JF was reported to deal with and high anxiety and the known volatility and anger management issues of FD.

Its also frankly a NC issue in a MAJOR way as there is very much a false sense of security in town to the point where NCPD is constantly issuing messages to not leave your keys in your car as sometimes up to 10 cars a week are stolen in town. Yet, people still do and even though most people are totally wired with with security cams I do wonder how many systems are armed appropriately? My guess is not many. If you can imagine the Board of Selectman intentionally dithered I think for over a year after the murder on installing cameras at Waveny and on major roads. Frankly I'm not sure the ones installed are even operational. But, its interesting that many people did install dash cams locally and carry mace or guns when walking at Waveny or Irwin and imo this never used to be the case. I had a neighbor who took big loss on house sale to move quickly to a gated community in an adjacent town. When I asked why they were leaving they said they were victims of a horrific home invasion and now feared for their lives even with a state of art security 24/7 manned system. This crime wasn't reported and the victims just packed up and left. So, I wonder how much crime in NC isn't reported? IDK.

I wish LA had been asked about the security camera usage at Welles but my guess is that there is no mystery why the question wasn't asked by the State. Violent crime is generally low in NC, Police are very responsive and the result is that people feel more safe imo than they really are.

Plus, if the garage is secure, it seems reasonable to leave the internal access door from the garage to the kitchen unlocked.

JFd may have been intensely careful, when pulling into her garage, to ensure that no one slinked in with her, then completely closing the garage door before exciting her vehicle.

It is my working theory that FD manipulated one of the child in order to surreptitiously option the access code. Despite all the protective measures JFd may have taken that morning, IMO he was already in the garage when she pulled in.

Yes, agree with you on this. But what is happening now is that garage door opening systems are very easy to hack or even block and even NCPD have sent out notices to lock cars in your garage and lock all interior doors. It’s not happening consistently as people still leave keys in cars and doors open.

The jury is pulled from Fairfield County which is actually a pretty large area. I am in the area frequently for business and traffic on rt7/rt 95 and the Merritt during rush hour rivals the worst in the country IMO. Even with the wfh people still not going in to the office it's wild. I don't obvi know where the jurors and alt's live but the late start time may be a concession to one of the them who lives a distance away. Most people think of FFC as just the affluent towns in lower FFCounty, but see the map for reference. If you are in Danbury CT it could be an hour /hour and a half plus just to get to the court house then you have to park etc . Just a thought IMO

I find it shocking that this kind of crime has crept into these areas. How times have changed.

Glad you posted the map as it shows the issue perfectly! Danbury is a perfect example as there is no easy or direct way from Danbury to Stamford with the structure of existing roads (most time is spent on 2 lane state road and not highway or parkway. Its roughly only 32 miles each way but could easily take 1-1.5 hrs in traffic or more EACH WAY. Also, one accident along the way and you could easily be looking at 2 hrs with no great back road alternatives to escape the backed up traffic.

The Judge's reprimand of JS as being 'inappropriate' was a brilliantly executed take down of behaviour that doesn't belong in the Courtroom. It was imo mansplaining at its worst and kudos to the Judge for stepping in. IMO this is just another example of JS being unfamiliar with courtroom behaviour and protocols in Fairfield Country. Perhaps in his usual courtrooms he can be a bombastic bully to expert witnesses but Judge is having none of that in Stamford. See Afternoon Session today starting at 17:45.

To be noted is that even after the Judge strongly reprimanded that JS DID NOT APOLOGISE TO THE EXPERT WITNESS. Nope. No Apology. Classless Clown imo.

Now if Judge can just resolve the Translator volume as today in the afternoon session it was out of control and imo was distracting the expert witness which was unfair and unfortunate!

It could be as simple as he was smoking a J or driving the wrong way on a one way street or otherwise doing something illegal but petty in comparison to murder while witnessing something. (The hypotheses are wild, baseless speculation on my part. I have no knowledge of any substance use or traffic violations. My point is, part of his story may have included some violation that troubled him.)
