It seems she may have gone around the rear of the suburban, after being hit intially closer to when she was exiting the suburban - perhaps she was a bit bent over with her hands protecting/ holding her head trying to get away fom him - she was small to begin with - 5 ft + ish. So he hit her as she was crunched over trying to escape - makes me sick to my stomach.
All I can picture is either him either stabbing her or hitting her with like a hammer or a tire iron. And she kept trying to get away but he was relentless. He def gets her again in between the suburban and RRover.
The Lt Col indicated that there are at least two mutually exclusive events - with a minimum of two separate impacts in the garage.

I also agree. To me he seems distracted and not on his A game for someone who is doing this for the fifth time (but I obviously don't know what it is like to be a blood spatter analyst testifying about someone's murder).

I didn't see any evidence of an attack on the driver's side of the Suburban she would've exited. Davison said the orientation was that the Suburban was parked in the left bay facing forward, meaning she would've exited at the wall. All the apparent spatter Davison is testifying to seems to me like multiple events between the Suburban and Land Rover ranging in height and perhaps even one more under the Land Rover.

Interwebs say JFD was 5'4", 117 lbs. As a 5'4" woman, she was tiny in frame. If one of the areas of origin were around 3-1/2 feet like Davison said at some point, I have changed my theory to stabbing unfortunately.

Hopefully he will have a summary, but what I got from all this reconstruction is she was first hit near the driver side door of the Range Rover, as if she was either getting ready to drive to NY appointments or putting something in the car to take with her to NY.

She definitely was NOT short. Small but not short.

Could be both were used, particularly if she rolled under the vehicle and he tried to get her out from under the vehicle.

Replying to myself because I am wrong. I found one of the original missing posters that lists her as 5'8", 120 lbs.

I don't see 5'4" as she was almost same height as FD. Will try to dig up a photo for reference.

Or, if he was stabbing at her using a sharp instrument, he may have first attacked her at slightly above body center ( a range 34-42"H, I believe the expert said), where vital organs are located. Subsequent blows, hard to say as it appears she was on or near the ground.

Replying to myself because I am wrong. I found one of the original missing posters that lists her as 5'8", 120 lbs.

5'8" by all accounts wasn't spot on either and was early estimate given to NCPD. Here is picture of the couple together. FD was listed as being 5'8" tall. When he was booked initially I think they also had his height listed.

Or, if he was stabbing at her using a sharp instrument, he may have first attacked her at slightly above body center ( a range 34-42"H, I believe the expert said), where vital organs are located. Subsequent blows, hard to say as it appears she was on or near the ground.

Horrific to say but if the early blows were with the knife then that could have brought her to bend at waist and gradually move towards the floor as she could no longer stand. Monster.
