IMO Reilly is a magnificent witness for the state. In addition to being concise, specific, and assertive, he has a humane and caring presence. His gravitas honors Jennifer.

State recalls Detective Reilly, major crimes.

Asking about vehicles owned and associated with FD.

Conducted a search of the Ford Raptor. Was aware of the findings recovered from the trash. Trash bags, zipties, clothing, broken mop with bloodlike substance.

With warrant, they were looking for information relating to the missing person case.

You can thank JS for the tedium. State provided him the photos, he knows what they depict. He's asking questions to take up time. The Defense IMO could have stipulated to much of these photos, maps, chains of custody. JS chose the long, drawn out path.

Witness describes swabbing exterior door handles and tailgate latch for latent DNA.

Witness examined bed of truck and sprayed Luminol, in order to find any latent bloodlike stains.

JS objects to the detective explaining how Luminol works. Judge strikes.

JS objects again. Junk science. Judge explains that the detective isn't describing the science, he's explaining how he used it. Overruled.

Several areas luminescent, did a second presumptive blood test (Castle) which was negative. No further action.

We can always tell when the evidence being presented is very important as JS starts objecting every minute.

Witness describes testing the interior door handle which luminesced. Positive on arm rest. Tested negative with Castle.

JS objects first with a running objection for the witness' interpretation of results. Overruled.

JS moves to strike on account of negative results. Judge overrules.
