Attorney Bowman is doing his best to avoid "conspiracy" charges for his client - telling the officers that the person they are seeing as they interview her is the same person that he has been seeing as his client. Telling them that he sees, as they are seeing, that her relationship with Fotis is definitely over. But she is definitely not picking up on this attempt to separate her from Fotis and to allow her to tell the truth.

Instead, she is laying her head on the table. She still wants the rewards of the conspiracy's efforts. (ETA: She has confidence that their plans have resulted in adequate cover to get away with the murder.)

Now asking her where her clothes are from the night of 5/24, camo pants, dark shirt. She says they're at home.

Her attorney is now talking to her about what happens next. Active investigation. Explains bail.

They ask her if FD told her not to cooperate. We all want to find Jennifer. Omg one person does not.

Interviews ends. She hugs her attorney, breaks down in tears.

Video paused.

Judge asks Counsel to approach.

Didn't they say this interview was only 2 hrs 37 minutes?

I think it was the last day of school for the year for NB-someone correct me if I am wrong.
I thought there was a performance of Chicago? I swear I heard that from her, then Kimball say something to the effect of, "Oh, like a play?"

Court ends for the day. Will resume at 10am tomorrow.

Goodness, the attempted manipulation and drama with AB at the end! ETA: And she was still living with FD at that time?

ETA: IMO MT is an interesting combination of cold wannabe party girl almost-sophisticate and distressed talkative damsel. I’m sorry for the snark. It’s just so horrible.

I could barely keep up with anything being said, does anyone know if transcripts of these interviews exist?

Defendant goes way back to 2017, how she was going back and forth. Couldn't be with the kids because of court, was upset.

They ask her about now. About Fotis staring at her. They were concerned for her. They think FD was concerned that she was breaking down. You were upset, hunched over.

Why would you be so upset if what you've told us so far is true?

Because I'm innocent.

She says you're telling me he cut her up in pieces.

They ask her where she could be. Asking her property by property.

They tell her that people drove her car. That the seat and steering wheel were covered in blood. Where would they go to get cleaned up?

Defendant is asking about the Suburban, that someone drove. Now talking about the Suburban with the bumper damage driving around New Canaan.

Now they are asking her about getting the truck detailed.
I wonder if the jury is getting whiplash because I sure am. She lied and now its obvious to the world. What a selfish person. A woman was murdered and MT was living on the money from the murdered woman.

She thinks she has attorney Bowman fooled, but he's much smarter than that and is doing his best to encourage cooperation. Not fake cooperation, but real cooperation.

She, on the other hand, is too foolish to take that offer.

I agree 100% with you Diddian. Bowman tried and she is a fool!

I think it's very apparent that Bowman is trying to prepare the defendant's best defense. Avoid accessory charges. Let her decompress from the shock. I think he expected her cooperation in exchange for minimal charges, perhaps a plea.

Personally I don't think he thought she was a knowing participant.

That he allowed the interviews underscores that for me. I think he believed she was being forthcoming and that he'd walk her through the process. FD would be charged with murder, he'd negotiate for the defendant and get her the least sentence possible.

She can kiss that goodbye.

IMO JS is going to buy her a lengthy sentence. Only because she has no defense.

Defendant is talking about when the police came. Defendant said she panicked.
Fotis told her Jennifer was missing. Asked if she was dead, if she was missing, if she took the kids.

They went to pick up the daughter at school at 9:15.

Fotis was calling people.

Police kept calling her.
She was stressed.
Jacob told her not to answer her phone.
Ok-I’ve been thinking about this. Why would Jacob tell MT not to talk to the police? I can certainly see why he would tell Fotis not to, but why shouldn’t MT? And why would she listen to him? What interest would she have in avoiding them, if she was nowhere near a place where Jennifer could have been? She has all of the proof she needs, to that end. The police wouldn’t have been able to place her anywhere else, because she had proof (Marty), and she knew nothing. RIGHT??? I’m smelling a rat!

Not a fan of the Daily Mail, but is it an approved source? Glad to delete.

Good grief no plea was a bad decision, IMO
Correct-“no plea” was a very bad decision. It’s my opinion that Atty Bowman did encourage her to cooperate, and for whatever reason, she refused. I see Mama A’s fingerprints on this bad decision. This might have been a very bad roll of the dice on their parts.

Yes, its approved and actually for crime reporting they get it right more often than wrong imo.
Yes-it’s a litte sensational, but they are right about as often as anyone else is. I read it every day.

I can only surmise that perhaps the attorney did not know the full involvement of MT (or scale of it or lack thereof?) at that point? So maybe the attorney was not yet in a position to know how deep the water was for her? MOO

Wasn't the reason MT's crying in court while her interview is being played in court is because she understands now how ridiculous her alibi list is and how it doesn't protect her from "cleaning Jennifer."

The vehicles she drove that day were aligned with Fotis' for much of the time after her breakfast omelet. That is, when she wasn't staging photos and driving to an empty lake with only hope that someone would pull her. I'm appalled that she ordered a sandwich while at Starbucks following the Albany Odyssey. Barf.

MT says more than once in her interview that she was upset. She stayed dramatically upset. I think that it's just born in her to be upset; and demanding and selfish and ambitious. How much prodding did she do to convince Fotis their evil deeds would go unpunished? We know she didn't try to stop him. She facilitated his their hideous deeds. jmoo

I was not able to watch or listen live today. Interesting to me to read tht MT sobbed in court when she her lies in the police interviews were pointed out. No tears when the bloddy clothes of Jennifer were shown -. That should speak volumes to the jurors IMO

Was she down on her knees in this video, at the end with her attorney??
