She is IMO a poser, a grifter, but she played this hand badly. It's clear that she was being misled by FD. Gaslit. He played her.

Had she come clean she might've gotten a sweetheart deal, FD would be in prison where he belongs and she'd have gotten a soft sentence. Man, they gave her every opportunity and then some.

And to think all that blame and she never even met Jennifer. Took FD's word without question.

It's really telling. A decent person would have genuinely crumbled, realizing they'd been misled, that they'd played a part, witting or otherwise, in murder. She didn't. Every question, she goes back to the script. Can't supply a natural answer to save her soul. Easy stuff. Did you x? Usually I... what did you wear? Probably I...

These detectives, best I can tell, made a fatal mistake in these interviews. They tried to appeal to her, as a mother.

She seems only to be that when it serves her.

Appealing to her greed might have worked better. It's her language at least.

Greed. Entitlement. Standard of living.

ME ME ME ME ME

So interesting! and I think you nailed it perfectly.

Your point about LE appealing to her as a mother is so spot on and I'm glad you pointed it out. No matter how much training LE has I think that even they can be thrown when dealing with a narc/sociopath/psychopath that goes against preconceived ideas about people or those who only focus on themselves. LE thought that by appealing to motherhood (wrongly in the case of MT as you point out) as the core of MT being they miscalculated as to what they were dealing with in her as a suspect.

I do think the female detective might have piped up but then seemed to stop but I do think the males in the room all assumed that MT cared about her daughter more than herself and so would base her decisions on this fact. Sad that they didn't really look back at the duration of MT and FD relationship to see how it progressed and how much priority (none imo) MT placed on her daughter when making life choices. But, it probably was too early in the investigation and probably not a priority research item.

BIngo on Greed!

Fotis told her to write it so she wouldn't forget it.

They are asking her why she was writing in the timeline that she showered with Fotis, saw him, had breakfast with him. She seems confused about breakfast. Detective shows her something on his phone.

Paused video. Witness was showing the defendant, during the interview, a page of the timeline they believe Fotis wrote. Witness identifies the timeline that the defendant told him she'd written (two pages). JS wants then held up so he can see them. Last entry, in the photocopy, 5:10. No mention of trash dumping.

Defendant says that, on the Tuesday, Fotis said they needed to write the timeline. She didn't understand why, she said she had it memorized.
"I know what I did, it's in my head."

*proceeds to not remember anything*

Defendant is talking about Lewis and PG. Describes how PG is affiliated with the Fore Group. One time PG went to the dirt bike location, her impression he'd never been there before.

They ask her if Fotis went durt biking recently. Cane back dirty, sweaty, scraped up? No

Did he wear gloves? Yes. Black.

Says he lost his gloves. Describes what he wears when he bikes. Describes his stretchy black gloves.

She speaks English proficiently. Comes up with the right words with ease - "he was upset, he was disappointed..." Hand and arm gestures match the words. No struggle to understand or express herself in English at all.

JAS idea to go the language difficulty route early in his involvement here failing spectacularly.

Weekend after the 24th, had brunch. Went skiing. Ordered pizza. They were going to go on 20 miles ride. She didn't want to go but didn't want to be alone at the house. Was afraid that Jennifer with her illnesses might kill her.

Now she's saying that Fotis went to NY to see his kids. Called the police. Didn't come back with the kids. He was angry, upset.

Fotis said something about not getting arrested in NY. Defendant joked whether he could have sex in jail.

That night [not sure which night!] she slept with her daughter and mother. Fotis slept on the couch.

Fotis got a new phone.

She says she kept asking. Why is this happening? Why are we staying in a hotel? Jennifer is missing.

He kept saying it's okay, stay strong.

The amount of anger shown on video, when MT is discussing the last visit FD had with the kids at their home was way over the top. It almost seems to me, by her admitting that she threw her phone at FD when 'discussing' it, that she herself was the catalyst in setting this whole thing in motion. MOO
Good post. Insanely jealous.

Does anyone else seemed surprised that MT mother just happened to be in Farmington when the murder happened? Idk, seems convenient.

She says she didn't think Fotis did something. She says she thought Jennifer commit suicide. Talks about Jennifer's relatives. Suicide attempt. Hospitalization. That Jennifer was bipolar, had depression, slight eating disorder.

They ask her what she thinks now. Fotis killed her.

MT went to police a year ago to say she was afraid for her safety and safety of daughter and Kent helped her with the paperwork with police!

Hadn’t heard this….so much for not knowing KM….wonder this is something Mama
Troconis might have recommended….

I have regularly wondered about that coincidence.

Now the defendant is describing what two years of torture is.

She is upset when he's gone to be with his kids. She is uprooted every time Fotis has the kids. She has to leave. Fotis is angry every time he has to deal with the divorce. Says he couldn't believe Jennifer would do this to him. Never saw this side of her. Wishes she would disappear.

I have regularly wondered about that coincidence.
Some photos were on Social
Media and the DM had photos of
Mama Troconis holding MT daughter when the raid on 4jx happened. Just seems too
Coincidental imo.

Edit: She later says, “I have to bring my mom”….

I wonder if they had heads up about the arrest and so
She had her
Mom come up from
FL to help take care of daughter?

On Sunday the weekend after JFD disappeared, MT was afraid JFD would come to 4JC and kill her and her daughter so she went out to brunch with HH and spent the whole day at the Pond with her daughter and friend because she was afraid to be there alone in case JFD, who was missing and who police had left MT 2 voicemails about, came by to kill MT and her daughter.

In fact, MT describes that some months prior, MT had gone to the Farmington police concerned about her safety from JFD and wanted to get what she implies to be a restraining order against JFD. Says she still has the paperwork but Farmington PD told her not to worry.

This is rather shocking is it not.

Hmmm. Those early morning calls outgoing to "Mami" at 7:45 am (16 minutes) and 8:02 am (5 seconds), incoming at 8:02 am (2 minutes).

JFD returned to 69 Welles Ln at 8:05 am.

Then, a couple of quick outgoing calls to "Petu" within a few minutes of the AT call that came into FD's phone at 8:24 am. (8:38 for 59 seconds, 8:41 for 25 seconds). Then, 3 calls immediately after each other, all canceled. ("Dani" at 8:53, "Papi" at 8:54, and "Bruja" at 8:55). Who makes 3 canceled calls one after another? Signals?

Note that the identification of who the incoming from/outgoing to calls were was MT's (so may not be reliable).

Detectives ask if she'll go with them to show them the area where they motorbike. Trying to coordinate with her attorney's schedule for when that can happen.
