On Sunday the weekend after JFD disappeared, MT was afraid JFD would come to 4JC and kill her and her daughter so she went out to brunch with HH and spent the whole day at the Pond with her daughter and friend because she was afraid to be there alone in case JFD, who was missing and who police had left MT 2 voicemails about, came by to kill MT and her daughter.

In fact, MT describes that some months prior, MT had gone to the Farmington police concerned about her safety from JFD and wanted to get what she implies to be a restraining order against JFD. Says she still has the paperwork but Farmington PD told her not to worry.

This is rather shocking is it not.

Why would she not show the paperwork at court?

MT went to police a year ago to say she was afraid for her safety and safety of daughter and Kent helped her with the paperwork with police!

Hadn’t heard this….so much for not knowing KM….wonder this is something Mama
Troconis might have recommended….

I would bet FD recommended it because he probably thought it would make JFD look more "unfit" for custody reasons.

Before the break, the State asks the witness about the red Tacoma, about whether the defendant ever indicated it was at 80 MS on the 24th. She did not.

State asks if they interviewed her again. Yes.
If they obtained additional surveillance. Yes.
If they obtained DNA result. Yes.

MT was upset about how long the searching in the wooded area would take.

Did I hear her correctly to hear her say,
“I’ve lost three weeks with this already”…..she was frustrated with time spent helping and fixated on daughters ski gear.

Also of note, it was KM who helped her with the paperwork to try to file a restraining order against JFD (takes one to know one).

It now seems to me that Plan A (between FD, MT and KM) was to sideline JFD by hemming her in legally as an unfit parent with all the emphasis on mental health, so that FD could get sole custody and likely hefty child support payments and MT would get to be a “mother of six” as she told investigators FD had told her to get ready for (she states she was very happy about this as the Dulos kids are wonderful and she was very happy about this idea).

So it seems that the 3 of them (FD, MT and KM) had been in cahoots in how to take JFD down for a while, and when Plan A backfired in court (Herman report sealed, etc- clearly FD had spent his last pennies on the Herman report)- then they went to plan B, to get rid of JFD entirely.

It was known through LA that FD did not spend a lot of time with his kids and the primary parent was JFD. If she were truly mentally ill with bipolar and borderline personality, I don’t think the kids would have been as well adjusted as they were. Agghhh. *gag*

I'm sure you meant no offense, but the idea that children of a mother with mental illnesses can't be well-adjusted is pretty... offensive?

JS has witness confirm the three interviews.

Confirms she was arrested the night before her first interview, based on assisting Dulos who was discarding trash in Hartford.

Asks about her arrest. 11:15. Witness was not there. JS testifies that she was in her pajamas.

JS asks the witness if he knew that when the defendant was arrested she was with her daughter. He did not know that. Asks him if it was his decision to have her arrested in front of her 12 year old daughter.

Objection, assumes facts not in evidence, hearsay. Overruled.

Witness says no, that wasn't his decision.

JS is asking a series of questions about how people can be nervous when suddenly arrested, in situations that are unfamiliar to them. Yes.

JS asks about her lawyer, Bowman, practicing 50 years.

Asking about the paper she signed, that she never said she wanted to stop answering questions. JS: did she keep talking? Yes.

Asks if the witness knew she hadn't eaten anything since a slice of pizza the night before? He did not. He wasn't in the room at that time.

JS doesn't know how to pronounce "ruse." Is that a ruse?

JS refers to telling her that Fotis was staring at her, boring a hole through her. Were you feigning concern? JS talks about a ruse.

JS: asks if she signed the English side or the Spanish side of the waiver. English.

JS: asks if there are times she didn't know that word, asked how to say something? Yes.

Asks a series of questions. Did she say she was in shock? Can educated people be confused? Yes

Asked of his characterizations FD to the defendant was based on what they'd learned or of it was a ruse. Learned.

Now he's asking about 4J. Debating square footage with the witness. Asking about number of bedrooms...
