2/1/24 Thursday, Trial Day 15: The trial started Thursday morning with attorneys on both sides discussing some evidence previously shown to the jury that now will be considered unrelated to the case. The jury will receive a written "stipulation" about the items, which include a white T-shirt stained with a substance found in a garbage bag on Albany Avenue in Hartford. Another item that appears to be unrelated to the case is a set of keys found in the trash in Hartford, said Assistant State's Attorney Sean McGuinness.
State witnesses: Sidnee Streater, a court-ordered parenting supervisor, said on the stand that Fotis Dulos never entered the New Canaan home of Jennifer Dulos when he visited his children on May 22, 2019.
Retired State forensic scientist Christine Roy was in the unit that processes DNA evidence. Will be back on stand tomorrow.

Trial continues on Friday, 2/2/24.

Why did JS keep referring to epithelial cells as epidural cells when questioning forensic expert witness Christine Roy today? Did anyone else catch that? Jmo
Replying to and correcting my own post.
Js actually said EPIDURIAL cells smdh

Looks like FD wasn't the only one who liked to 'keep things moving':
For some lighter news after a day of tough forensic evidence (cannot even think of story behind the jaw fragment with teeth), here is DM article of MT with, "...new mystery man...":
Looks like it could be JS’s brother!

At the end of court yesterday, the judge asked Counsel to approach.

I imagine it went like this:

Judge: the Prosecution didn't object, Counselor, but I will. Objection: AREWEGOINGANYWHEREWITHTHIS. I'm going to use a sport analogy and a music analogy -- your cross examination is a mound of b flat. Make a point or move on.

I hope JS opens cross examination this morning with "no further questions". Because otherwise he has like 92 more pages to go.

Too bad for him, the jury saw what we saw. A lot of blood on JFd's shirt and bra, a lot of blood on two ponchos and a bloody hard white object. Everyone in that courtroom had to be asking, why is he going on and on and on? What is he hoping we'll forget?

We won't forget.

Let today be DNA day.

In light of yesterday's witness and the explanation of the "hole" in JD's shirt being a cutting she took and sent out for sampling, I am beginning to doubt the whole stabbing idea. There are no stab wounds visible on that shirt or bra so I am thinking more along the lines of blunt force trauma to the head.

I suppose she chould have been stabbed in the head neck area, but I am favoring blunt force trauma to the head. My theory is he only meant to knock her out, not kill her (hence the zip ties), but she fought back and he had to go into hyper attack. UGH, really sickening to contemplate.

What is the matter with him?
Maybe...
Witness: I don't understand what you're talking about
JS: maybe I don't either

The pantyliner.... is there any way that any collected DNA was too degraded to test? One of those items every case has where it can't be determined definitively to whom it belonged? Where we're left to guess? The obvious person is the victim but for the detail volunteered by the defendant. Where are FD and the defendant's clothing from that day? Stripped down ahead of ponchos or after? Hasty discard?

Is the Prosecution gearing for a power point to end today, providing much for the jury to ponder over the weekend? How will JS stall it?

I'm not sure how much more of him I can take.

If JS is going to continue with where he left off and in the same beige fashion, I think I should take up a collection for virtual coffees and eyelid toothpicks....

Being familiar with panty liners - I’m thinking there will be a lot of DNA to offer. It looks like the “thong” type. They must be stuck to a panty- if it were JFs, you would think it would still be stuck to her panty, wherever it is.
It would be in intimate contact, and the sticky parts would definitely have all kinds of cells adhering to it.
We know MT had her period. We know she wears a thong (she needed to disrobe at police station to be examined for injuries & it was mentioned that she wore a thing).
But also it could be JFs, JF top body clothing soaked with blood. The liner isn’t, however - Depending on body positioning blood might not have flowed downward to her underpants.
Leaning towards it being MTs but might be wishful thinking.

I'm lining these up next to my comfy chair on ice and will be watching and sipping! I'm not letting "Esteemed Defence Counsel" get in the way of FRIYAY!

I do very much wonder about the idea of a secondary location prior to their return to 80MS. I also wonder if they might have gone to a hotel or other location with a shower to clean up too? This is speculation but I'm not sure the ponchos would have been enough protection from whatever was tragically done to VICTIM, JF by FD and MT imo.

My hope is that the computer data from the vehicles might tell the story.

We know that the Tacoma/Red Truck is too old for such data but the other vehicles might have provided some of the missing data to LE that was never disclosed in the AAs for FD and the Co Conspirators.

Hope the day that this data is revealed will be soon but the State is far from laying foundation for that line yet I am guessing!

As we don't yet know when PG will go to the stand to testify I wanted to put out the series of messages from 'reposter' Shannon Miller of NBC CT who is emerging it sadly seems as the official mouthpiece of the Troconis Crew and "Esteemed Defence Counsel".

This was a statement issued by the Crew regarding 'another suspect' it seems who wasn't being pursued while their 'beloved daughter' is being persecuted and even threw in a reference to 'blind eye of justice'. The Crew also state that immunity was granted to PG 'without a thorough investigataion". Right. With all the testimony we have heard so far (and its nowhere near done imo on PG) does anyone YET believe that LE didn't pull apart the PG story from top to bottom?

I simply don't know what to make of clearly false statements like these as I believe this one to refer to PG who has been cleared by CT LE. How in the world can "Esteemed Defence Counsel" think that statements such as these made by the Troconis Crew which are patently FALSE are a good idea for his client?

I do hope Atty Urso examines these statements as I wonder if they cross into the territory of defamation both by the Troconis Crew and NBC CT who know these statements to be FALSE? At a minimum I believe Atty Urso could ask NBC CT to remove the statements of the Troconis Crew as they are factually incorrect aka pure lies imo!

I find it interesting that this rosary carrying and courtroom praying Crew are choosing via public statements (blindly reposted with zero context by "I'm not a Reporter Shannon Miller" who makes no note that PG was cleared by LE) to continue to persecute an innocent man who was by all accounts put through "HELL" by FD and MT in the events surrounding the murder of VICTIM, JF as they tried to frame him for the murder of JF.

I almost think these social media posts deserve special attention and fact checking so will work on it as time permits as to see this disinformation posted by Shannon Miller NBC CT with no context is something that I believe to be absolutely professionally irresponsible AT A MINIMUM.

Totally agree with you afitzy. They should not be allowed to post and spread outright lies (which they’re well aware). Unfortunately we’ve seen this constantly since 2016, where things are denied then when proof is shown, they just double down on the lies. And get away with it with no consequences. And the media reports on it and some defend it. And some citizens believe it. Sad.

I notice the judge doesn't query the jury every morning, if they need to report anything.
