State's witness Anita Vailonis, Forensic science examiner

While she provides her training to the jury, I want to backtrack. Lengthy back and forth between JS and previous witness. He was trying hard to minimize the positive screening tests. Blood vs. Positive indication for blood. State objected: Judge said it hadn't yet reached circular so overruled. Then JS said he didn't want to the jury to get the wrong idea. Judge interjected.

Now back to Analyst Vailonis

Who examined some of the items of evidence

Seems like this next witness is Ms. Roy's colleague at the time both were still working. She specializes in hair and fiber analysis.

Yes, Judge R shut down the infamous “esteemed defence counsel” Testimony Cross which is against the rules of the court. MOO

JS has had this evidence for 4 years, He has wanted the prosecution to identify what their court plan was for this period of time. IMO...JS has spent this time writing countless boiler plate motions and objections and barely cracked the boxes of evidence given to him.

It is irritating that NOW he is acting as if he has had no previous knowledge of the key forensic evidence in the trial. IMO, again, this is sheer laziness on JS's part.

Examined trace material from poncho

Hard white object with staining

Removed red brown staining

Removed a hair like fiber

First she cleaned it. Then prepared it to send to another agency.

  • #359
Hairline fiber was a glue fiber

Retained trace material separately

When will they share the results of all this testing? I may be mistaken but the items presented right now all seem to be items MT may have had contact with or belonged to her person, ie, the hair, the cleaning supplies.
