The words “Hard White material” caused me to wonder that if it was “bone-like material” or “tooth-like” is this how it would be described by the forensic people? I would think if it were bone or tooth material this forensic analyst might have looked at 100x and described it as possibly biological material.
Are they saying “hard white material” because it’s maybe a tooth veneer? Or a tooth cap from some dental work? And not bone- or tooth-like. Or part of something destroyed like a phone, part of a button, part of an earbud or item from JF pocket part of the safety seal from the bleach …

I wondered about a dental crown as well.

A New Wrinkle in the Murder Mystery That Rocked Connecticut

Another installment from Air Mail - it’s fluff and not terribly accurate but …
From the article

“But just why was she crying?

Was it because the reality of Jennifer’s fate—the screaming void, the black on black of nothing and nowhere forever—finally pierced her shell, and she understood and wept? Was it because seeing herself in this awful earlier moment—she cried as footage of her interrogation played—she was overwhelmed by self-pity, by what had been done to her? Or was it because, in watching herself change her story, remake her alibi and lie, she suddenly realized, as a bluffer looking into the eyes of a card sharp realizes, that she’s f—-d. “

Wondering/ Was the “hard white material” the description given to it by the detectives in the field when they labeled it and sent it in? As I recall the initial description stays with the item throughout testing but I could be wrong ? JMO
IIRC the witness said she found it.

IIRC the witness said she found it.
Correct.

Scientists confirmed that three items contained human blood: A striped Vineyard Vines shirt, a bra and white, hard material found on a poncho.
……
The third item that scientists confirmed had human blood was described by Roy as a “white hardish material” that had reddish-brown staining.

JS said it was likely a plastic item found on the poncho…..doesn’t look like it though!

IIRC the white hardish material was found on top of the poncho and also had a blue fibre attached.

Correct.

She also offered some new information about the white, hard piece of evidence introduced Thursday. She noted samples taken from it, like a blue hair like fiber, that was later confirmed to not be human hair.

Honestly, this is just TOO much.

Message to "Esteemed Defence Counsel", please schedule eye exam pronto! "Plastic item found on poncho"? IMO he needs a new eye script for glasses pronto and possibly a hearing aid to hear the expert witnesses too!

If JS says it looks plastic, it's not plastic.

I think it's going to be what we think it is. Bone or tooth.

In the PFrazee case where he bludgeoned his fiancée with a baseball bat, a tooth was recovered from a firepot on his mother's property. Unfortunately, sophisticated testing could not "prove" it was her tooth... and I can't recall now how mitochondrial DNA testing did or did not factor but I'm considering a conclusion like that here -- like DNA testing from the reddish brown stain being a statistical match to JFd but inclusive as to the white biological material in which case the bush league attorney will say JFd's blood was somehow already in the Hartford trash and transferred to a random bone/tooth previously discarded. As if.

It is notable that the witness refereed to it as a white hard object and not as biological material. So either she made a determination that it's nonbiological or she's not qualified to identify it and only a dentist or a physician can. We might have to wait on the medical examiner.

The weeks ahead are going to be damning.

Hiding behind her hair curtain won't save the beige defendant.

Sorry couldn’t resist a Three Card Monte and clown alert on “plastic item”!

Buckle up for upcoming “testimony cross” as it will be a doozy!

IMO JS has lost a lot of weight over the course of his taking the case - four years? I think those ill fitting suits are from his heavier days. The jackets hang off of him. He is very thin now - my Mom would say my God he's all bones. He is actually quite tall also - I always thought he was much shorter. Maybe the blue suit was a new one.

BBM above - I forgot to mention - in court I saw MT's father with earbuds in, watching the trial on his phone while sitting in the live trial. I am not sure as I was only there that day, but I heard someone say he does that everyday. For a bit I was sitting closely behind him and verified he was actually not watching something else. I was puzzled by this. There is an adjacent courtroom/ also used for overflow where you can go in to watch the live feed if you want to use your phone, tweet etc. Marissa Alter was in there. MT's Dad could easily go in there and watch - but I guess then his presence would not be felt in the court room supporting the daughter. It dawned on me he is the one watching to see how this is all being presented and how his daughter is being photographed. ( There are two photographers in the courtroom - a still photographer who roams around and then a contract worker who is filming for the Law and Order channel - and that is the main feed the other networks are using)
So when MT gave the death stare to the nanny while the nanny was exiting the court for instance - he would have caught that right along with the rest of us. It was mentioned on every platform I frequent so he may have seen all the chatter too. So imo, yesI totally agree they are monitoring everything media which is surprising since the content of MT's twitter is so ill advised IMO.
The family imo is very interested in perception/optics/PR. The day I was there they arrived outside the court room early and greeted everyone - mostly spectators - waiting outside the courtroom ( the doors open at ten)- it was very
cordial and intentional.

So interesting to hear that you believe the Troconis Crew are monitoring social media. Well, if they come to this small slice of the internet then I would like them to know that I wish they would spend less time on socials and more time paying attention in court!

Odd though, that so far as I can tell they haven’t been paying attention to the truth of the growing mound of evidence and instead continue to stand behind MT being persecuted by State and believe that JF is still “missing” and then have no hesitation saying so on the various platforms. They also seem still very much confused as to why FD murder has to be proven and seem annoyed that MT is not front and centre in the discussion! Don’t worry Troconis Crew it is coming!

Perhaps they are of the school that believes if disinformation is repeated often enough it will be believed?

It won’t….because it is untrue as are all of their nonsense social media statements!

Colour me confused…..I would have thought that the veil of delusion would have lifted for the Troconis crew after 4 years or so but I guess not….

Oh, my - you got me here! If js and mt already “know what the object is” and “already knows all the evidence”, how can there be a “smoking gun”? I’m VERY confused!

  • #518
So far there has been no direct physical evidence linking MT to this…yet. There would be no reason for JS to so aggressively try to go after evidence collection, evidence transfer, etc. if he didn’t know what was coming.

The prosecutors would have not taken this long case to trial if they didn’t think they had the goods.

Patience… we have a lot more coming.

No matter how much the Circusmaster, King of Three Card Monte and man of 10 Motion Monday Dump might try to control witness speech in the Courtroom, he can't control what a witness will say once they hit the stand. There is a very long State witness list so we will have to stay tuned to see what all they have to say.

Great advice. Its a long and slow moving trial. PG as a witness is on deck and who knows whether KM might even show up too (not counting on him but would be interested to see what he has to say).

Given that the circus master is less than subtle it appears the "sponges" are of great concern as well as what he referred to as "Plastic matter" found on top of poncho (PS its not plastic and he knows that....). His motions In Limine also tell the story in part about where he is trying to suppress and eliminate speech/activity. Judge R spared the world from having to go through the last bunch of these imo nonsense motions (remember when he handed the stack to the Judge and 'forgot' to give copies to the State)?! But listen to the motions and it will signal areas of concern in their defence strategy that seems to have been built on pillars of sand so far as I can tell.

Was thinking today about the MT cell phone being kicked from trial and I'm starting to think that "Esteemed Defence Counsel" might have scored an 'own goal' on that particular court manoeuvre. We shall see how that plays out as the trial progresses, but I have full faith in the ability of the State to precisely fill in the gaps in MT timeline and hopefully in 5G technicolour.
