He's missing the opportunity to thank local authorities for their work in looking for Jennifer, missing the opportunity to express gratitude that his children are safe, missing the opportunity to thank Jennifer's friends for alerting LE about her disappearance, missing the opportunity to ask the public to please look for Jennifer and call in any tips, missing the opportunity to say - "Jennifer, we all want you home. We will find you."

Nice guy.

You are absolutely right. But what is so facinating to watch is that yet again he seems to be turning this situation into one 'all about him'. Not sure who is working with him on PR but he needs some help and fast IMO!

There must be phone pings or someone is talking, because Homestead Ave. and Albany Ave. are not places to look without really specific information.
I think so

I'm guessing that he's going to petition the court for full custody now. If he doesn't, he may look guilty. "I had nothing to do with my wife's disappearance, so I should have the kids..."
I believe he filed on Tuesday for this - need to check though JMO

Agreed - we always have our clients present at depositions in case something is brought out that needs to be questioned - if the plaintiff can’t be present (Jennifer) than it wouldn’t be proper to have a depo IMO - I think they are doing cleanup in the divorce
Yeah. I think everyone is looking at everything he does through the prism of suspicion.

Bad optics, but probably nothing more.

He knew she wouldn't be able to attend as she is 'missing'. IMO by cancelling this he is simply saving himself money by not forcing the atty's and experts scheduled to show up which is quite expensive. The tactic is also a stall and he could be preparing another motion to demand full custody as JD is 'missing'. If any atty's on the thread would weigh in on these issues it would be super helpful. I was reading about grandparents rights in custody and it would be helpful if an atty. on this thread could shed some light on this topic as its complex. I am also not exactly clear on the legality of what the grandparent did even though I fully understand the great need to secure the children from a parent that only has supervised visitation rights at present. IMO this is now a complicated family law situation and I'm not qualified to opine but I hope someone that has the expertise can explain it to us as I am extremely concerned about the welfare of the children. It would be horrible if the state intervened to take them away from the grandparent and put them into the foster system. I hope the grandparent crack legal team is working hard on this issue as the welfare of the children is paramount at this time.
I am not an attorney but I work for many- each state has the ability to address grandparent rights - Michelle Parker’s family helped pass a law but they can’t see their grandchildren Michelle Parker's parents denied request to see grandsons with law they helped pass
But we know in the Kelsey berreth case the judge awarded Kelsey’s mom temporary custody - the GAL will represent Jennifer’s children and we can hope that all the facts come out and the best thing for the children is considered but IMO based on the past visitation rulings I’m not sure he would be granted full custody MOO

I get the feeling that custody is going to be the least of his worries going forward.

K9s looking on Woodland Street.

Near the bakery? Or the park by her car? I'll check the map, but perhaps a local can pop in.
Looks like Woodland Street intersects Albany, which is where they were searching the sewer (and didn't find anything in the sewer as far as I can tell?).

I sure hope they are on to something!!

Definitely not near her car or Waveny Park. They are in New Canaan. Woodland Street is in the city of Hartford.

And Woodland is a block away from Millford, where LE apparently was searching earlier.

SOMETHING is bringing to that area.

Completely agree. JD's mom sounds like she has a crackerjack legal team and they have had litigation on the issue of the loans for awhile now. I was concerned though when I read the Farmingdale house was going into foreclosure and I haven't had time to research whether there was a lender attached to the mortgage or not. My sad suspicion is that the money borrowed from all sources is long gone and/or hidden. .

One of the articles I read stated the house loan was guaranteed by her parents. I suspect he quit paying because he would rather it go into foreclosure than have to give her half.

Its in the Hartford area.
It’s not near Jennifer’s house in New Canaan nor near Wavenly Park, also in New Canaan.

Stockpiling his cash I suspect- it started earlier when he failed to pay back the loans for the purchases of the properties hence the lawsuit imo

Interesting that about half the area between Woodland and Millford (they run parralel and one block apart) is parking lot. The other half looks like houses/yards. Mix of residential and business area, if I'm looking at it correctly.

Not the actions of someone that doesn't know what the l is going on is it?
No its not, I would have expected to have them let the date lapse and file contempt if they thought she were still alive. However, they could be taking a tack of filing a motion for summary judgment in FDs favor under the assumption she is dead. JMO
