Tuesday, March 5th:
*Trial set to begin with Jury Selection (Federal Child porn & gun) (@ 9am ET) – ME - *Marc J. Karun (21 @ time of crime/53/now 56) charged (12/14/19 in Maine-Federal ) & indicted (11/6/19) & arraigned (12/14/19) with possessing a gun with an obliterated serial number, stemmed from allegedly owning a rifle that had its serial number filed away. Plead not guilty. U.S. District Court, State of Maine
Police found 60 weapons & 15,000 rounds of ammunition in his Stetson home. As a convicted felon not legally allowed to own firearms.
*Indicted (3/10/21 in Maine-Federal) charged & arraigned (5/18/21) with possession of child p0rnography. Plead not guilty. U.S. District Court, State of Maine
Trial was set to begin on 1/2/24 with jury selection was continued on 3/5/24.

1/4/24 Docket update: (130) Notice of hearing as to Karun. Change of Plea Hearing set for 2/15/24 10am in Bangor Courtroom 2 before Judge Lance E. Walker. The defendant will be required to identify every prescription medication he is taking & to specify the dosage & frequency, purpose & effects of the medication. (The same requirement applies to medications prescribed but NOT taken, with an additional requirement that the defendant explain why it was not taken & the consequences of the failure to take it.) Failure to do so satisfactorily may result in the judge's refusal to accept the plea. Counsel may find it convenient to use a written list for this purpose. Counsel must file the Prosecution Version, any Plea Agreement & any proposed Preliminary Order of Forfeiture, if applicable at least 2 business days prior to the change of plea.

Karun (21 @ time of crime/53/now 56) arrested (6/12/19 for a fugitive from justice warrant in Stetson, ME), charged (6/14/19) & arraigned (8/12/19) with capital murder with special circumstance, 1st degree kidnapping & sexual assault. Plead not guilty. $5M bond. Pretrial hearing on 3/1/24.
