UNCASVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) - Mohegan Tribal Public Works discovered skeletal remains in a wooded area adjacent to Cove Road in Uncasville on Thursday morning.
Public Works notified the Mohegan Tribal Police at around 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Mohegan Tribal Police is conducting an investigation alongside State Police in Montville, New London County State's Attorney's office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
There are no suspects at this time. There is no known cause of how the remains ended up the area in the first place. It is not known how long the remains have been in the wooded area.
