Still no news on the baby??
I hope for the best, but I fear the worst. JMO, this looks like a extremely brutal DV murder with the poor baby caught up in the violence.

I don’t know either. So I called on my friend Google:
Day traders usually buy on borrowed money, hoping that they will reap higher profits through leverage, but running the risk of higher losses too. While day trading is neither illegal nor is it unethical, it can be highly risky.

Most individual investors do not have the wealth, the time, or the temperament to make money and to sustain the devastating losses that day trading can bring.

  • Day trading is an extremely stressful and expensive full-time job

Day traders must watch the market continuously during the day at their computer terminals. It's extremely difficult and demands great concentration to watch dozens of ticker quotes and price fluctuations to spot market trends. Day traders also have high expenses, paying their firms large amounts in commissions, for training, and for computers. Any day trader should know up front how much they need to make to cover expenses and break even.

I actually didn't think that job was serious on his FB, Kids put job: sponge bob square pants" lol. He asked her neighbor for work so he must not be doing that well. IMO

I imagine it was his clothing. This may have not been a planned, and he panicked after the fact.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s completely idiotic. But he may have been in a hurry to dispose of those items, and that was the first container he encountered.

Still trying to catch up, but just wondering who you mean when you say he/his?

Right. I too think killer knew Christine very well. This is personal. No doubt in my mind. Killer must have violent tendencies. This kind of rage could not have been hidden from those around him throughout his life. I guess people can snap and turn away from their nature. I don’t see it here. Someone in his inner circle knows his personality traits.

I read Christine’s obit. Her life story is remarkable. She has a degree in Psychology among other accolades. What was the mutual attraction about? What was the commonality? I can hardly imagine a relationship between the two. How did they meet? So many relationships begin on an equal basis - Evolving into a dynamic where one person gains the power in the relationship. I think Christine naturally grew into her power. I think killer unnaturally took back his power.

What a lovely person who was devoted to the care and teaching of children. Condolences to her family and extensive group of friends listed in the obit.

No mention in the obit of Morales.....

There is no official POI identified, but based on both statistics and the sheer brutality of the crime (beaten to death, had to be IDed with fingerprints), I'd put my money on the murderer being a "he."

I agree with much of the above----but if the baby was the target, why so much rage and violence against the mother? I'd think the kidnapper would just want to get in and out quickly, if his goal was to get away free and clear with the baby.

I'm thinking the perp knew the mother and child very well. Had rage for the mother but love for the child. He couldn't bring himself to harming the baby-at first.

But then what could he do? Was he forced to dispose of her because there were no other options?

thats why this case is perplexing. Was mom in fight mode defending her baby and that’s why she was so violently attacked or since this attack has all of the signs of being very personal, was she the target and the baby the afterthought. But if the latter, why not just leave the baby to be found without committing yourself to that involvement? Unless there was a bond with that baby. Someone real close to both victims, as you stated. I’m with you. MOO

Yes, I noticed as well.

Both sides of Vanessa's family are clearly concerned and participating in the investigation, but I wouldn't say I've seen any evidence of the Holloways rallying behind JM.

I think it was someone close to CH and VM as well. It makes me wonder, and I HATE putting myself in this head-space, but if the murderer felt they HAD to kill VM and they did care about her in some capacity, how would they do it? Clearly they didn't choose to leave her behind.

Statistically, they wouldn't have done anything exceptionally violent, which again begs the question: How? Why? WHERE?

He hadn’t posted for quite some time and then posted on the 29th of Nov. That’s always a red flag for me. IMO
That may not be entirely accurate though, as he could be posting every day, but only allowing friends to see those posts. Using my own FB page as an example, folks might think I only post once in a while because those are the posts the general public can see. But I do post nearly every day, interacting with friends and family, and the general public never sees that.

ITA. All we can see is when he changed his public profile picture. That doesn't mean much to me.

The odd thing to me is that both JM and CH changed their profile pictures for the first time since March on 11/26 and 11/27 respectively. JM "liked" CH's; she did not "like" his (whatever that's worth).

You can sometimes tell that's happening by if you just see profile pic changes ad changes of the big picture at the top of the page (I am so bad with words, sorry). Those are normally set to public and people tend to leave them that way, but the actual posts could be set to friends. And sometimes when people log in via different devices, each device is set differently, so some posts might post public and some to friends only.

Yah, I'm not buying him as an actual 'day trader' in the stock market. It is likely slang for drug dealer over something.

urban dictionary=Day trader=A person who enters the market mid day and buys beer and lottery tickets.
Well that ends me being impressed by men at bars who say they are day traders!

There really are stock market day traders. Single guy has for years lived on street below us. Nice house. Real day trader.

Early on in this thread a neighbor said he met him when JM asked him if he could get him a job and the neighbor said he would send him information. The neighbor, if I remember correctly, worked in food service at the local college.
That struck me because I thought, aha, he’s unemployed and maybe that means something.
I hope my memory is correct about this and not sending on misinformation. If so, apologies to all.

I think he may have lost his license for day trading after that felony. I haven't been able to firmly document that, however, so consider it rumor for now.
