Looks like the DoeNet page is lacking in a lot of ways... All the stuff in bold is from NamUs. I wonder how to contact them and get all of that changed?

Also, sad to see there isn't a recon. :(

This case is just horrible. Poor woman. So she was killed jut an hour before the arrival of the police?

Iirc, killing someone in this way is connected to mafia from southern America.

Maybe at least the police will find some evidence with the vody being secured so quickly.

The fact that her hands and feet had been removed leaves me to believe her fingerprints were on file somewhere and whoever killed her removed them so she wouldn't be identified. She may have been reported missing, had a criminal record, or may have even worked in the government or military. Whoever killed her took the trouble to remove her hands and feet because he knew they would be a great tool to her identification.

That wasn't the Werten case? I have a friend who was living down the road from where that happened.

No Ruleouts listed in Namus. @digitective did you ever turn in Evelyn Fox or Shirley Hyman mentioned above? Without more detail it would seem more likely that Evelyn might be a better match, but there is just so little about her case out there. Shirley went missing in the company of 2 men some years before this UID was killed, so I do wonder if this is less likely to be her.

I don’t think I submitted them but I can, if people think they might be matched. She has no ruleouts listed.

@digitective would be good to know what others think - a pity there's not more information out there to make a better comparison. I'd be inclined to turn in Evelyn and if the say she's already ruled out, then Shirley. I've been turning in via DoeNetwork most recently as I find you generally feedback on whether something has been compared previously.

Othram is working on this case now.
