Does anyone have any idea why these pictures got so much attention from LE? By PRs reaction, they weren't inappropriate. Where they printed at home? I know these photos prompted a search of their other home but I'm not sure who to contribute them to.

Who is "PR"?
It's difficult to know who's who when having so many cases on WS.
Thanks!

If I remember correctly, those photos are the ones that were taken of her in the basement laundry room? Patsy was asked about those, but we really do not know much more. I have not seen any description of the photos.

Presumably they were concerning.

How would you expect her to react?
I'm not sure who to contribute them to.
In the Netflix doc, journalist Julie Hayden said the police found disturbing pics of JBR on John's office desk, she was then cut off and the camera panned on pageant pics, then the scene cut to John and John saying it was just pageant pics.

The Netflix doc is riddled with inaccuracies and misleading innuendoes. This is but one example. All we know of the photos in question is that police asked PR if there were ever any photos taken of JBR in the basement, under what circumstances might such photos have been taken, and a few about whether or not PR had a paper cutter in the basement that she might use to crop photos. I could be misremembering, of course, but I recall nothing about photos being on JR’s desk. They were never described by police as “disturbing.” Correct me if I’m wrong.

Police didn't ask PR about the paper cutter. PR herself brought that up the next day and offered it as a possible explanation.

Journalist Julie Hayden made the remark about the police having found disturbing photos on JR's desk (Netflix) and then she was cut off and the scene cut to John who said they were pageant pics.

As I’ve said elsewhere (maybe even in this thread), the Netflix (so-called) documentary is full of misleading innuendo. Hayden was not relaying accurate information. Perhaps she just repeated what she’d been told without fact-checking.

Hayden was not relaying accurate information.
How do you know this? John didn't deny it. He simply put his own spin on it, claiming they were pageant photos. Hayden is BTW a respected journalist AFAIK, not tabloid.

I know this because the police are not on record as saying that. If they gave Hayden privileged information to that effect, she was obliged (as a “respected journalist”) to report that. She did not.

All we have on record are the questions Trip DeMuth (generally considered a pro-Ramsey figure in this case) and Thomas Haney posed to Patsy in interview about photos of JonBenet that were found in the basement — not taken there (I apologize if I suggested that earlier).

Julie Hayden has a mostly local (Denver) background and has been associated with politically fueled smears not normally associated with respected journalists. Tread carefully in these woods.

I just wanted to throw this in here because I have seen in more than one place that people have gotten confused by what was actually said in the interview..... in my opinion, it was *BOTH* scenarios. IE; actual photo/photographs of JonBenet that were FOUND in the basement / even in the laundry room perhaps - Patsy even asks for some clarification - Did the detective mean of her photos FOUND in the laundry room, or did he mean photos of her TAKEN in the laundry room:

TRIP DeMUTH: And do you remember photographs being -- photographs of JonBenet being in there?

PATSY RAMSEY: Taken of her in the laundry room?

TRIP DeMUTH: No, no. Photographs of her located in the laundry room?

PATSY RAMSEY: Oh, in the laundry room, oh. I don't know, there was a bunch of stuff, I mean wrapping stuff and everything. I don't remember any photographs.

So the above interaction is scenario #1 - random photo/s of JonBenet being found "located in" the laundry room....

Then later on - just a few sentences - it seems the detective is asking about photo/s of JB being taken in the actual laundry room:

THOMAS HANEY: So you don't recall taking a photo of her down there?

PATSY RAMSEY: (Shaking head.)

THOMAS HANEY: If she was doing something really cutesy or something, would you maybe run and get the camera, take one of her?

PATSY RAMSEY: Of her in the laundry room?

THOMAS HANEY: Uh-hum.

PATSY RAMSEY: No.

It seems scenario #2 - the detective was asking about specific photos of JB being taken *IN* the laundry room / not just random pictures of JB - such as pageant photos.

Just thought I'd add this to the discussion because it seems clear to me the detective was talking about 2 different things.

Yes and one had far more impact on what he was trying to find out than the other.

They clearly ask about taking photos of here down there, so...
There are so many incidents in those transcripts where the questions of the detectives make me feel confused. Like they themselves do not know what they are exactly asking. And thus the answer to those questions are confusing also. I wish the detectives could have been more clear with their questions to begin with. They leave so many open ends in answers. And after an answer (a typical Ramsey answer where nothing certain is said), they do not follow up and just leave it.
Huge mistakes IMO, if we are trying to interpret those now 28 years later to make conclusions. Frustrating...

During patsy’s police interviews, she was asked if she kept photos of jonbenet in the basement to which she said no. Could this be the photos in the paint tray? Does anyone know what these are?

That's not quite correct.
She was asked if she remembered seeing photographs located in the basement of JB. She said she didn't remember.
On a separate occasion, she was asked if she had taken photos of JB in the basement. She said no.
There is a good post here by @Zodiac_Speaking with more info.

Thank you - I appreciate that.

There just seemed to be a lot of confusion about those photos. IMHO, the mystery "basement photos" is a nothing burger. The confusion stems from the police asking horribly confusing questions, never being firm with their questions one way or the other and never demanding an outright answer. IE: Yes or No?

Example conjured from my brain:
Cops: "Did you kill JB?"
Ramseys: "Well, the sky was blue that day. It was cold....."
Cops: "Ok, moving on..."

If I had been doing the questioning:
"I didn't ask you about the weather. DID YOU KILL JB? YES OR NO?"

The whole thing is absurd. The Ramseys know what happened. They always, always have the perfect answer and that simply does not happen in a murder case investigated 9 ways from Sunday. Not before, not since. It is what it is. If anything - those specific questions about the photos in the basement - or taken in the basement - was only designed to "let them talk themselves into a lie" --- and like everything else in the investigation, it lead nowhere.
