Agree, what a mess. It would be much easier for a defendant to get a fair trial if the defense attorneys did not immediately start trying to taint the jury pool with constant media appearances. And in this case there's no defendant to begin with, just an innocent baby girl who is the victim and whose name, LISA, is rarely mentioned by team defense.

I think the attorneys are just trying to garner more attention for themselves, get their chunk of the media pie to line their future pockets.

The Kansas City-based attorney for the parents of missing Northland baby Lisa Irwin has been removed from the case by the family's New York City-based attorney, according to reports on Friday morning.

According to the report on ABC's Good Morning America, Cyndy Short has been removed from the case by lead attorney Joe Tacopina.

I don't think this is the kind of attention anyone wants - right now the situation appears to be a bit of a SNAFU, and the attorneys seemingly bickering over who is fired, who isn't, makes them come off a bit cartoonish. JT and CS both are probably wishing they'd never gotten involved. It's not making either of them look particularly competent.

I can't watch the a.m. videos on the iPad, but would love to know who their source was for the firing story. Did it come straight from JT? The Irwin/Bradleys? BS or AI, lol? Hate it when stories just say "reports are", etc.

umm Joe T is an internationally and nationally known criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor. He is NOT a small time attorney

People will hate me for this but I say good for him. It was a cluster with her tours and daily press releases and exhaustion etc.

(eta Joe T. knows how to use the media and will use the media but he doesn't play the sort of games we just saw this week..he might drive people on the G side nutz but rarely does he make major mistakes in his use of them)

The problem here is the lawyers are trying to use the JB playbook and all it's doing is causing confusion and muddying the water. The difference here is information and circumstance are not as clear cut as in the FCA case.
