Dan Rassier: Former POI **Wrongly accused**

.

Timid music teacher accosts 3 boys at the end of his driveway .... lets 2 run away , then takes the 3rd one home ... makes fake tire tracks in his driveway .... and never gets caught

Yeah Right.

I can't figure that out either. But what do you think when LE digs up his property, removes items of interest, names him a POI the same day, and then go on Cnn to declare the perp was very local and on foot? It begs for the answer of what exactly was found and still being tested.

Person of Interest doesn't necessarily mean suspect. Just a reminder...

This is getting ultra picky and detracting from the overall education of my statement. What is being tested? Besides Immelman would disagree, saying Dan became the prime suspect in 2004. Request a link if you wish.

I got interested in this thread not because I thought the abduction of Jacob would actually be solved ( I am amazed at how it played out) but rather, that I was concerned that an innocent man was going to be railroaded.

We now have a suspect who has a long history of sexual attraction to young boys, there is forensic evidence that he sexually assaulted a boy under very similar circumstances in a neighboring town months earlier and vehicle tracks, indistinguishable from his, found at the crime scene. He is the obvious #1 prime suspect. There may be others, including DR who have found themselves, under some quantified ranking system, as a POI with a number attached but those were based on what would seem the flimsiest of circumstantial evidence.

Certainly Sheriff Sanner was aware of Heinrich and the evidence against him before the DNA link to Jared was made. My guess is that he realized that if Heinrich did it, the FBI was going to get the credit. His only chance to solve the crime and gain the glory was in the unlikely event that someone other than Heinrich was guilty.

After Kevin came forward and he had a chance look over the case file, he found his "prime suspect". I am pretty sure the smoking gun; damning "evidence" was the fact that DR was middle aged and still lived with his parents. To this day, all the suspicion directed at him flows from that one salient fact.

It is time that Law Enforcement and us lookylous out in cyber land quit dwelling on missteps that have been made and start focusing on the real matter at hand: how to bring the predator who killed Jacob to justice.

I think the best way forward with this particular sub thread aka Dan Rassier POI is complete silence. Nothing to see here. Old news...moving on.

Your biggest ally, Elocsoul, just commended me today for not choosing a side and calling that very key-

"You yourself are always brainstorming different ideas, and not locking in on one thing is very, very key." Elocsoul

We've all seen what happens when someone zeroes in on a single suspect and loses their objectivity. If they're wrong...they quickly become irrelevant

Okay, I didn't direct my statement at you. I am TOTALLY on board with wanting to know what they found and what they are going to do with it. My thoughts are that DR could have played a role even unknowingly (or not... I DON'T KNOW). I'd like to know what's going on with all the stuff from the farm that LE has as much as you do... anything that might help with figuring out what happened that night, or rule out theories of what happened. Yes, I suppose he was the prime suspect for a while and maybe I worded my comment incorrectly. I only meant that looking at him, at things on the farm, and thinking these things over does not mean you necessarily think he did it.

Hey, sorry if you feel like you are being ganged up on here, but don't put me on that list. What you write makes me think. I have no stake in this except that I want to know the truth. I'm not going to take it personally when someone has questions about a POI, even if I *think* he's innocent.

Let this be a lesson learned for all of us today.

Didn't the BCA bring up whatever it was that got the warrant to search in 2010?

Do you guys remember that DR's excuse for not being able to talk more extensively was so that he wouldn't tip off the abductor?

If that's the case, hopefully he did share the info with LE.

Did he see the abductor with his mask off? I see that Heinrich wears glasses, did he have to have them on to drive? Anyone have ins with DR to see if he can tell us now. It could be fascinating stuff.

Timid? Have you seen the pile of wood he climbs up? Have you read about the marathons he has entered? Have you read about his wood chopping contests?

He must be an amazing physical speciman.

He's a life long runner. I don't see this as even being remotely interesting that he can run marathons. I could post dozens of Minnesota based marathon results indicating that there are plenty of people Dans age and older competing all the time. Just ask, I can post them.

I hope we can clear DR this year. If I were DR, I'd be talking to a civil rights lawyer and calling out the FBI's bluff on him.

I wish he would be cleared as well, but I don't know if Stearns will take the time and resources to do that. I don't think the FBI has bluffed on Rassier at all, it's all Stearns County from what I can tell. Stearns has always led the investigation and are the ones who focused on DR since 2003...FBI only served a support role until taking over the case in November 2014. Things happened pretty quickly at that point.

Wow, really? That's why I'm saying he has got to lawyer up and make things happen. Otherwise Stearns is just going to forget about him and leave things the way they are until we all die.

I'm stooping to a level I don't want to be on. I don't believe a word of this bs. This case is active and they are working diligently to bring this all to a close. What is the concern amongst us? Forcing unproven corruption out of boredom and for attention? I guess I still respect LE and their work on this case, so alot of you aren't going to like me very much.

you keep it entertaining sas...like a full time job for you
