David Lohr Did Nothing Wrong

wtf is wrong with people?

My opinion, based on having watched internet happenings over the last 10 years:

Sometimes people end up investing so much into existing on a forum or on a case, that it becomes unhealthy. This unhealthy behavior results in negative actions. This is not exclusive to one forum... it happens on all forums. Some people just get blinded to the fact that boundaries exist... and the only cure is for the person to realize that they need to step away from the computer and forum, and have a cool down moment so they can get a grip.

This case has many people's panties in a wad. Some of the things I seen this week literally just made me cry.
Best thing to do when you are angry at someone else who cares so much about Caylee the same way we all do, is to just step back and take a little break.:blowkiss:
I certainly hope Mr. Lohr is apologized to.

Seems that lots of key people were getting bashed today, on other sites as well... up to and including LP, Tim and Murt. Criticism was running rampant, and opinions were very negative towards some.
I know people are getting frustrated, and emotions are high... but on another board where some people were claiming to be praying fervently, those same people were posting disgusting things about various people involved. I think if you're going to get down on your knees and pray to God, you better have a heart with some compassion and kindness, or He just might not listen.
Here's what I think: Everybody there did what they could do, and it was disappointing that the search was fruitless, as far as we know. But we should not fault anyone for that, because God will take care of it in His own time.... not ours. Caylee's little soul is with Him... even if her body is never found.

David,

If you are reading this now, please know whoever called you (?) in no way represents this group. You are a respected journalist IMO. Rock on.

I was told by someone else that there were a snippy comment or two about the situation here on WS. I have not read them and they may have been deleted or maybe they were never here.

I saw the snarky comments earlier this evening, and I believe it was Jbean who was kind enough to vouch for David and his intentions immediately, and then also respectfully asked everyone else to simmer down on the issue. It was in one of the last " TES Search for Caylee is over" threads.

For what its worth though, more people spoke up for David and his integrity, than the few who chose to be negative initially. That alone speaks volumes for his character, and the admiration and respect his readers have for him.

Pay no mind to naysayers David, everyone else respects the energy and hard work ALL of you guys have poured into the search for little Caylee Anthony.

Even though she wasn't found this time, I still consider this weekend's amazing effort to be a huge gold star in the Win column of the fight to prove Good can and WILL triumph in the face of Evil.

You are all a testament to the tremendous depth of the human capacity for Love and Compassion.

Quiet Blessings to all...

Well, frustration is one thing but CALLING someone on the phone and confronting them with your frustrations? Wrong- just wrong!

And I'm the abnormal one around here LOL

I hold David Lohr in the highest esteem. I have followed him for a long time and was delighted to see him join WS. I know he would never jump the gun without permission on anything he publishes. I respect his integrity. (And he is an excellent writer!)

It is a shame that someone would call him out at all. David should also be aware there are others out there that are wanting to cause trouble for WS members in general, too.

I've just read many wonderful post on David Lohr's thread. Mr. Lohr's I want to tell you just how sorry I am that one WS member would do such a rude thing by calling you and being rude towards you. Please know that we all know that you did not do anything wrong. It saddens us to know that one rude poster would do that to you. We are tired of folks like that who wants to use WS in that way that makes us all look bad. That's why when we have to ban a member it's truly for a legit reason not some mod on a power trip. We have a wonderful group of caring, loving members but there always has to be a few bad seeds in the group in the interent world. WS stands tall and proud of each and everyone of you. Hugs:blowkiss:

He is a good guy and I am embarrassed that any WS member would give him a hard time without knowing the facts.
i agree and i feel that unless anyone is directly tied to this case in a legal stance or the owner of this website i dont see why anyone should be calling him . this is where rumors and whatnot start .. people not knowing the facts then the press reads it and reports it .. cuz im sure they read here .. lots of times ive read things about this case on this site.. just to hear news media or talk shows air those theorys as thier own ..MOO of course

My guess is that the phone call was, in fact, NOT from a person at WS but someone stirring the pot...

Can't go into details but it is 99 percent certain it was a WS member. Believe me that was my first thought but because of the circumstances surrounding the events it had to be a WS member.

How do these people get everyone's phone numbers and have the nerve to call them up?! I have never called a single person involved with one of these cases unless specifically requested to do so by the person. I feel that is such an invasion of privacy even if their numbers are listed on their sites.

David, I think you've done some of the best reporting on this case! I've enjoyed your site for a long time. Don't let a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch!

Keep on doing what you are doing! {{{HUGS}}}

Wow David's site is so well respected.... Do you think it may have been a Troll?

Things like this make me sad during a time when we are suppose to be together for one cause.

Hey David!

I hope you check in here. I want to thank you for your excellence.

People on the ground appreciate your gift of generous spirit and dedication to getting the facts right.

A big pat on the back from me ....

"Thank you"

I bet most of it is just Anger & Shock over the search being called off and folks taking it out on the source of that news.
