I have thought for quite a while that it happened not long after the girls went to bed, maybe between 9 and 10 pm.

Interesting all the times that sounds were heard at the home and Kholo Creek. I would love to know what timeline the police and prosecution have - what noises and sounds are irrelevant, and which ones are they assuming relate to Allison?

Is it possible that GBC was given some mild relaxant before attending court. Can they do that??
I think he has just been practicing the "cool calm and collected" act for his court appearance. Underneath he is probably going haywire

Not sure about the relaxant, maybe if he asked for something?
My own experience with N/S pathology is that they are able to somehow psychologically 'separate' themselves from reality (this is not really happening to me) and let their N/S behaviours almost protect them from what's actually happening.
You'd have to think the going haywire is happening somewhere very, very deep down though. MOO

Thanks Fuskier. So the dog started barking at 12:30am. Ties in quite well with the earlier evidence from Sue Braun that she heard screaming and shouting at about 10:00pm and again at 11:30pm.

BBM:

How long does it take to drive from the Brookfield house to the bridge?

and dogs again at brookfield at 4 am . when he returned from cleaning up etc maybe. and b'fieldf to kholo creek 10 to 12 minutes imo

Probably not, but I was wondering if the shocked, alarmed yell could have been one of the girls waking up and seeing something? But I guess the sound of a childs yell would be different to that of a woman?

Thanks CC - funny that you posted that just as I posted I'm off for lunch. I was hoping someone can keep me updated during the next hour, pretty please! :)

LOL. Enjoy your lunch break,

Fuskier and Makara are onto it : )

The sharp yell heard earlier could also have been when Allison was told or discovered that the TM affair was still on, and that GBC was going to leave her by July 1st.... And then the fight started

The hearing of the car doors at 10:30 pm would fit with the dirty deed having occurred around 10-ish as well. With the iPhone going back on charge at 1:48am, you'd then have to wonder what took up the intervening time... Cleaning the car, perhaps? And something to do with the roundabout (remember the police asked for witnesses re the roundabout from 11pm to 4am)....

The mind boggles (boggle, boggle, boggle....)

Yes of course they would have dropped right off ( cross country that Thursday) and it would have all hit off when he got home from wherever and the I went to bed at 10.30 ( just keeping times straight in his head - something happened at 10.30)

1:11pm AEST: Witness David Jenkinson, who lives in the Kholo Creek area where Allison Baden-Clay's body was found, has told the court he heard two "heavy thuds", a car door closing and dogs barking in the direction of the bridge.

"Between you and the Kholo Creek bridge, there are a couple of streets and a number of houses," defence barrister Peter Davis said, adding that Mr Jenkinson's home was about 700m from the bridge.

Mr Jenkinson, a TAFE teacher, said the noise he heard came from the general direction of the creek.

"The dogs went off, didn't they?" Mr Davis said.

"All the neighbourhood dogs."

Mr Jenkinson agreed, saying it had alerted him to "something unusual".

Mr Davis asked how Mr Jenkinson could be sure that he had heard the noises on the night of April 19.

"I remember having a short discussion with my wife on that night of what we had heard," he said.

"I remember the date because it was a Thursday - my wife works late on Thursdays."

He said he and his wife heard the noises at about 10.30pm.

Mr Jenkinson said he heard two thuds, followed by a car door closing.

"The sound you would hear if you had thrown a full bag of concrete onto grass," he said.

"A heavy thud."

I'm really starting to struggle with this. It just breaks my heart to hear the anatomy of someone's last few hours. It's just heartbreaking. I can't bear it. That poor woman. Her poor children. Her family, friends. I just don't know how they can cope with this. I guess they do because they have to. How can gbc stand around laughing and joking when his wife's demise is being analysed. Playing devils advocate, if he did not do it and is genuinely a grieving husband, would he really be joking around at this hearing? I'd be distraught if it were my husband.

I suppose I've lead a sheltered life and thankfully not encountered people like this. I don't understand it. What a terrible waste of a beautiful and precious life.
