Just watched the interview on sydney channel 9 news - not very long at all and Olivia just said 'one day the truth will come out'

Which begs the question, does she know what the truth is and how does she know it will come out one day?

I don't know anything. My opinions of TM is very different to those who don't know her personally, though from past experience here defending her in any way only provokes more anger against her.

I understand. Thank you for your response.

I think she looked quite deflated in that interview - it's really taking its toll on them all I think - there's more than one victim of this crime

And perhaps too, OW was holding out, desperately, that the Chief Magistrate would decide otherwise and not commit GBC for trial. A trial is going to be incredibly demanding - emotionally, financially, time etc and she's just had a small taste of it at the committal.

OK - I have FINALLY caught up with the threads! And what a great job everyone has been doing - a lot of very pertinent and insightful comments from all angles.

Now, I've just had a look at those photos (well, the five that I found at Marly's link anyway), and for whatever it's worth, my impressions are as follows:

1. Face - fingernail scratches/gouges. No question. Definitely NOT shaving-related.

2. Left side of neck lower down - same: fingernails, either through material (eg shirt) or last gasp with little strength left

3. Right axilla (armpit) - looks to me like material or strapping has rubbed or abraded that area, much as a very heavy backpack strap would. One possibility is that somebody was grabbing him by the shirt and gave it a good old heave-ho up under the armpit - like a violent wedgie under the arm but pulling the shirt up and over at the same time.

4. Left front chest - not so sure just WHAT to make of that one. I have seen abrasions like that from impact through material, or possibly by rubbing with something abrasive. But - and I hate to say this - I have also seen that sort of abrasion/rash appearance in people who HAVE scratched themselves silly after eg sandfly bites or other intense itch. I have even seen one person who had rubbed his skin to look almost identical to that lesion on GBC's left chest by scratching an intense itch with a hairbrush. It was on the patient's leg, and resulted in an ulcer that took months to heal up after it got infected. Not clean things, those hair brushes! So my impression on that lesion is inconclusive, I'd have to say. The other thing that can look like that is a VERY severe shaving rash.... Maybe Allison attacked him with his vicious razor? (sorry - tongue in cheek comment there)

5. The yellowing bruise on the front of his chest - that looks several days old - as in - MANY days (7-10 days perhaps?) so could have resulted from an earlier fight, a kick, or even horseplay with the kids. Or falling onto something - eg a bedpost...? But it certainly seems several days older than the more acute abrasions and scratches.

His face does have the sort of skin that would result in nicks and scratches from shaving with a razor (as opposed to electric shaver) BUT those nicks would in the main be punctate - like the tops taken off little skin bumps etc. NOTHING at all like those fingernail scratches - calling them for what I'm convinced those are.

So - don't know how much value my impressions are, given that various pathologists and forensic experts have examined these in detail already, but these thoughts are just what come to mind on my first sight of the pictures.

I was in court today also. I dont really have anything more to add to what has already been said.

I found it a bit emotional watching the family of Allison BC as the judge was summing up and finalising. Some of the ladies we quietly crying and they were hugging each other and patting backs etc. It was extremely sad.

I have to say after finally hearing Gerard BC's voice it sounded nothing like I expected.

Lovely to meet you today Liaden, maybe we can catchup at the trial :)

I think the chest scratches look self inflicted, maybe a nervous scratch he developed in light of what could follow after dumping his poor wife's lifeless body in a creek, or maybe in purposefully self inflicted, could it raise doubt that the other scratches weren't actually from Allison if one is proven medically to be self inflicted? Is he THAT smart or cunning to think of creating his own scratch patch to add to the scratches from Allison?

Again, MOO

I think it safe to say he wasn't reading it through all the discussions way back about the roundabout...lol.

He had to ask Bruce Flegg if there was a CCTV there??

I can't remember now, but was that actually after Allison went missing?? I remember he asked about cameras, but had thought it was before.. if it was after, well thats another incriminating action i think.

My initial reaction was along the lines of Doc Watson - abrasions from rubbing with other material and it looked like something he may have acquired while/if he disposed of Allison's body around Kholo creek. I just had an image of him sliding on the ground at one point, that's what the abrasions reminded me of.
I get your point about self inflicted to raise doubt but it doesn't gel with me but am only using gut instinct!

Are these the supposed caterpillar abrasions?? mighty big caterpillar by the looks! ;)

Ive had about enough of Olivia.. she is surplus to requirements.. NWOV.. not wanted on voyage.

This dreary cavalcade of scripted and monotonous drivel that she spouts everytime she gets near a microphone is absurdity gone feral. .. Its the same stuff, time after time.. it serves no purpose whatsoever, except to those who believe that the only important thing in this matter is Gerards comfort and Gerards freedom to continue making a pathetic mess of his life.

Allison is dead, Olivia.. Murdered.. Her corpse was interfered with. this is the reality. ..

Meant to add - those two vertical marks on his neck look like lantana marks. I haven't been to Kholo creek recently, but many of us at B'field have lantana on our properties and will know the familiar marks it leaves both because it is rough/prickly to the skin but also because of the active ingredients in it and it leaves marks just like this.
Can anyone near Kholo creek tell us if there is lantana down there?

Same here WWGY - so glad we managed to recognise each other! We were able to witness such a milestone in this case that we have been following - truly amazing -and it was great to have a fellow WS'er there to share it with! We will definitely have to catch up during the trial! And how easy was it to make our pick up requirements even with public transport under our belts!!????

I thought it was interesting too that GBC was asked to come forward in his box to accept the judges decision. He is such a coward he could have then turned to everyone and faced them after he expressed his decision to the judge and say ' I am NOT GUILTY' . I would be shouting it from the rooftops.

my nephew plays AFL footy he quite often has marks similar to these on his body after a game. They grab the guernsey and bit of body with it. Their nails have to be cut a certain length as well.
As Ive said before Id love to see the top/shirt GBC was wearing that night. But it would be long gone. MOO

forgot to link photo but the chest one is the photo I refer to

OW just said that she did everything she could in the search for her dearly beloved "friend" Allison. Can any locals please confirm whether ANY of the BC clan helped in the search for Allison?
