Way too many police officers have died in the line of duty this year alone.

It seems like every other day I read about another officer who's been killed or severely injured in the line of duty. Many of them ambushed without warning.

One day a couple of weeks ago I read four different articles about four different police officers being shot in the line of duty.

Iirc, 89 police officers have been killed or severely injured this year alone, and it's only the first of April. Imo, it will continue.

Why there is a war on our police officers I'll never understand.

Yes, sure there are some bad apples who shouldn't be cops just like in every profession there are bad apples who shouldn't be in those professions either, but the vast majority under the most trying of times still honorably fulfill their duties every single day. The countless brave ones who protect us all, and runs toward danger when everyone else runs away.

I worry about the injured officer. The impact to their body would be from the waist down when being crushed between the vehicle and the concrete barrier. It can make them sustain horrible injuries to their organs, and mid section plus it could have crushed their legs.

Even if they survive they can have life altering injuries.

Praying for the Capitol police who are having to mourn the death of one brother, and are at the hospital gathered together for the other injured officer.

On Fox it showed the hospital, and its lined with police vehicles in front of it. So sad. They must all be inside together hoping, and praying for their brother or sister in blue to survive.

I pray he or she pulls through.

She did not reveal whether or not the suspect said anything while carrying out the attack, but said he was not known to the police.

I'm curious if the perp said or shouted anything ?
We'll probably not know unless it's released.

Some of the most insidious types -- as they may come across as peaceful people until they're triggered.

It is currently unknown if this now-deceased attacker was fully radicalized or just obeying the teachings of wherever he was worshipping at.

Prayers for the critically injured fellow officer.

There is no way to sugar coat these actions of the perp.

Whatever his grievance was, he had no right to take an innocent, precious person's life !

So much damage can be done to the body when they are crushed between the vehicle, and the concrete barrier.

What an evil person. He hurt those who only wanted to protect, and serve. A thankless job many times. Most professions never have to think about if they will ever come back home everyday to their loved ones.

God Bless all who bravely serve knowing the grave danger that each one may face which can happen at any time.

This news is so shocking and sad, for me it's even hard to talk/post about it. It takes a while to actually sink in, my thoughts are with the family and friends of our CP.

I don't want to know or remember the coward's name. He doesn't deserve a human's name. May he be known as the CP loser 4/2.
