Here is the map with the points of interest we have so far:

A: Red Roof Inn
B: DC General Shelter (The Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness, 1900 Massachusetts Avenue, SE)
C: Payne Elementary School
D: Address for K. Tatum (2500 block of N Street SE, Washington, DC 20020)

Thank you belimom for the detailed address information on the shelter and Tatum's approximate address! This is an updated map with the DC Shelter address

I was out last night and didnt get to read much, but now im in for the day. I just asked my bf who is a sneaker collector and the manager of a sneaker store about the shoes. He knows his shoes, lol. The photo is kind of blurry, and without seeing the inside tags and such its hard to tell if they are all real. But from what he sees he is almost positive they are real, and he says the prices range from 75-180. depending on if they are adult or childrens sizes.

Not sure if this helps much, other than actually seeing how much money she had and was spending around that time.

and like Astrokitty said, unfortunately i dont see a little girls shoes and feet in that photo at all.

I really believe she was just sold to this man. But then I have to wonder where he would get all of this money to purchase her.. unless he was selling her out to other men :(

I have often thought that the way he was able to give Relisha gifts is because he's a booster. There's also clearer photos of the kids shoes (different ones though) on step-dad's facebook. On step-dads' the shoes are different Jordan's (his are the same) than the ones pictured with mom. Appears they have 2 pairs?

apparently the stitching on the jordan silhouette is usually a good indicator of real or fake. he actually cropped the shoe with the gold jordan near the toe and sent it back to show me. ill have to go back to the step-dad's page and send those too!

what's a booster? should i know that?:blushing:

Great map! You may want to check the address of the shelter. Be sure to put in "SE" because there are NE, SE, etc. The shelter is actually closer to the school.

1900 Massachusetts Avenue, SE

:tyou:

I was hoping a local would chime in and assist with addresses. I googled the name "DC General Shelter" and that's the first name that came up.

I will re-do the map with the correct address, edit, and repost the map on both threads.

Please, let me know if there are any new points of interest to add!

a booster is a thief who steals major merch and resells as a job.

I have NO clue how that works, so could someone else claim their kids if they were living in the shelter and everything they did was mandated by the state? I should probably call my sister who works in finance lol.

The step dad bought shoes for 2 kids and himself in Feb, he also had the jacket then. Seems like all those items were brand new on that date.

The mom bought herself shoes and I think 1 more pair (?) because she references one of her sons' getting a pair, this is Feb 28th.

Still curious what landed the hospital stay.

Them being in a shelter and on public assistance plays no part in her letting other people claim her kids. That's not checked and is a huge loophole. Especially if they've never worked. The kid's socials are free and clear. Most of the time it doesn't hit for audit.

I edited my OP with the corrected map on both threads. :tyou: again for your help! The first thing I did this morning when I woke up was check to see if there was any news on Relisha. Her story stirs up so many emotions, and I want so much for her to be found safe, to have a truly good life, with a fighting chance at a the successful future she deserves.

I just wish there was more I could do..... :sigh:

Thanks for the map! Can you add the truck - it was found in Hyattsville, MD, although I can't locate a specific address. I don't think they've released it? Anyone else know?

Thank you! I'm horrible regarding taxes, probably why I owe in excess of 32K this year. :(

The only thing I know regarding kids and taxes were from my parents via joint custody after they split; my dad got to claim my brother and had him on his health insurance - my mom claimed me and had me on health insurance. For whatever reason I just assumed you couldn't claim someone unless you could prove you provided for them, re: the health insurance. I never had to get into this debate with my ex because he lives in Los Angeles and I live elsewhere with our kids, so it's never once come up.

now I know!

from his fb page it seems he is a wannabe "rapper" maybe he laid down some tracks or wrote a few lines for someone else, that could also explain the fast cash.

I'm such a debbie downer that I should change my name to it, but the one thing I know as much about as the sex industry - is the music industry. I could tell you damn near anything and so .. there's no way he was paid to lay down a track. Most of the time when you're undiscovered you contribute to other artists work in hopes of the credit you receive leading to fame/discovery. It's a trade for credit industry. There is basically no money in being an artist anymore unless you tour and sell merch. That's why bands are out there for longer amounts of time and pushing merch more and more. iTunes, pirating and other electronic things have made this an on demand /flash in the pan industry. No one buys CD's, vinyl (unless collecting) anymore, so a lot of labels are defunct and musicians are paid less. I was with a pretty well known rapper/alternative guy for 4.5 years, he tours 10 months out of the 12 .. still. Everyone knows at least 2 songs by him, one as a solo and one in his band - still he isn't as well paid as everyone assumes. He did the superbowl 2 years ago .. still paid less than everyone assumes. He even wrote songs for his much more famous ex pop star gf, still - he makes less than some think.

There's just no way. There are so many musicians/ artists who are undiscovered but up and coming who get paid nothing until someone big "discovers them". This step-dad... with no shade being thrown at him, has a pipe dream. I'm not saying he doesn't have talent, but I don't see it being showcased enough to get paid.

Around the circle we call them "youtube rappers": people that have no label, are totally undiscovered or who seriously have no talent... they make videos to showcase their work. He has none of that, no twitter that I can find, no "fan page", no website, no vine account.

That money came anywhere but from his rapping.

Yes, I'm just wondering if I should place the map point in Hyattsville, MD, or if there's a more specific location. I am researching now.

Does anyone have more any information on this? Help!

The money was probably from selling drugs or any other nefarious activity that homeless people in SE DC do.

Drugs and prostitution are the main sources of income for people in the hood.

I'm wondering if the truck wasn't found at Tatum's home. In one of the media links, I know the approx address was given. I 'think' I posted it.

The PGPD recovered a pick-up truck that was unoccupied and parked in the 1600 block of Eastern Avenue in Chapel Oaks on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at about 7 pm. The truck was mentioned in the MPD Amber Alert.

Address where truck was found.
